I thought I was hiring a contractor that was a certified electrician for PA. Turns out he was certified but in VA not my state. He was helpful but in the long run did not fix my problem. I ended up calling around my town and found someone that did fix it and IS certified in PA. I have also put in a request for a quote on a new roof, which has not been answered after 3 weeks. I suspect the reason is that the contractor is also out of state. You Site needs to ID th STATE that these contracors are in so that you stop wasting their time and Mine.

Contacted Home Advisor for a project to Power Wash 2 decks, entire house exterior and sidewalk. Received a quote promptly, work scheduled and pending charge against my credit card made immediately. Pro was to arrive at 11:00am. Pro finally showed up at 12:15pm. Two earlier phone calls to the Pro to clarify project were never answered nor voicemails returned. When the Pro did show up, he had instructions to simply give me a quote on power washing the deck. Had no equipment with him and was unaware of my need to wash entire house and sidewalk. Pro explained that he hates working with Home Advisor as they always get things wrong. I agree that the only thing Home Advisor got right was how to place a charge against my Credit Card. I then spent an hour trying to get Home Advisor to cancel the project and remove the charge from my CC. I got bounced around to several different people. Had great difficulty communicating with the various Phone Reps as language was apparently a problem. Finally I was assured that the project is cancelled and that the charge against my CC would be removed. Based on this experience, I will not be using Home Advisor in the future and would caution others who are considering doing so. Want the house pressure washed along with the two decks to remove pollen and dirt. Would also like a quote to power wash the sidewalk which is stained from mineral and iron runoff.

I glad I used home advisor todays market its hard to find quality contractors. I was very pleased with the service provided by the referenced professional.

No where on my form did it ask if I was commercial or residential. I clearly listed my budget as $50. HA charged the 4 companies they sent me a $56 COMMERCIAL FEE each. Knowing only one was going to get the job. I had a large shrub and 4 very small 3ft shrubs that needed to be trimmed.The only way for these guys to make back that money was to add it into their quote, raising my estimate well beyond the budget amount I listed. Never use them. It's a scam to rip off businesses. They need to be sued in a class action lawsuit by all these companies they are defrauding.

Very satisfied and extremely satisfied. Michael was so professional, did a great job on the windows and screens. I highly recommend this company for window washing
