I bought a remote control air plane for my son for Christmas and when plane arrive the battery was dead on arrival. After some email back and forth I had to pay $15 to send the plane back for exchange, second plane arrived after one week and when my son opened it the motor was hanging from fuselage, I had to pay another $15 to ship the plane back and after another week we got the same plane back except the motor was tightened in. Finally we could go to park an try the plane, so we charge the battery and we had about 10 minutes flying time before we were back in the house to recharge the battery only to find out that battery does not take any charge. I sent an email to Hobbytron and asked them about the problem. When they got back to me after 5 days they said the warranty does not cover the battery since I charged it once, I was very disappointed and frustrated so I called them and talked to customer service and then to the manager but to no success, I paid $153 plus another $30 for shipping for this plane only because it came with 90 days warranty where I could buy it from Vortex for $95. So hobbytron sold me a worthless product with worthless warranty, Don't Be sucker like me and don"t buy from Hobbytrn. Hobbytrn has 244 Complaints against it on Consumer affair website, check it out before you make your decision.

My 13-year-old son purchased an air soft gun from this store for about $150 using his birthday money. From the time he took it out of the box, it never worked. He tried two separate times and even used different ammo. When I tried to contact the company at their main number, it rang, and rang, and rang, and no one EVER answered. I tried SEVERAL times on DIFFERENT days with no answer. I submitted an online request for an exchange and it was denied. I then tried SEVERAL more times to contact the company. Finally, someone answered and I was told I had to go online and submit another claim because they couldn't help me over the phone. I did exactly what they said and waiting another 5 or so days for a response. My request was denied AGAIN. I then spent a couple hours trying to reach someone on the phone. After being transferred to the manager, she said there was no way they would refund his money and that I had to go online and submit the claim AGAIN because she can't help me. SERIOUSLY?! When I went to the BBB to file a complaint, I saw this company has almost 200 other complaints. I'm not surprised! I can accept getting a bad product if the company is willing to make it right, but screwing a child out of his money and then not answering the calls or handling the issue is just WRONG!

I bought a 150$ drone for my son for Christmas. First flight it fell apart. Customer service said fill out the return form. It's been 2 weeks and no response. I've called everyday for the past week and no answer. I believe they are a scam company. It's hard to tell your kid that we got ripped off and his drone is broken. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Purchased 2 RC drift cars from hobbytron. 1 was damaged asked to return it and they automatically want me to pay for shipping to return it and for them to restock the item that will be a 20% restocking fee that's crap... this company sucks will never order again from them. Buyer beware!

Horrible company!

This company sucks and their customer service is awful! Do not order from them! Does not stand behind their products! Offers a 90 day warranty and than tells you to email tech support and they tell you to order a new gun! BUYER BEWARE! This company is a total waste of money and should not be in business!

So within the first month of having the gun the magazine fell apart upon loading it with the speed loader that was included with the gun. Upon contacting customers support, they never replied in over 2 weeks. So then I went to the live chat where they told me to fill out a RMA form. 2 more weeks go by and no reply. I do another live chat and they tell me that you can't replace the magazine because the gun has been used. Even though it shows a 3 month warranty (the warranty is apparently only if you don't even take the gun out of the box, fire it at all and it's void). Upon telling me this the lady then tells me to get a replacement magazine I need to email a Refurb shop. Where they respond after 3 days with "hello currently i have no parts available. Thanks" No proper English, no help, no ways to get onto a list to be notified when the part is back in stock. Great guns, great store, horrible horrible customer service. Waited almost 2 months to get a single magazine and now my $150 airsoft gun is worthless. :)

Sent me a DOA (Dead On Arrival) copter (via GroupOn). They were nice about the exchange, although I had to pay shipping back to them, AND it took them over a month to get the replacement to me. Then, the NEW replacement ALSO arrives DOA. Notified them within 4 days of receipt, and they said I am out of warranty? WHAT? They sent me not one, but TWO copters that were completely non-functioning. Too light tOo even be a paperweight.

I purchased a WinGun Panther 801 from Hobbytron. After 2 weeks it still hadn't shipped. I left messages and never got a return call. I tried to chat online and couldn't get through several times. Finally I was able to reach a representative on the live chat and was informed the order would go out that day and I would get an email confirmation. That didn't happen. The order arrived another week later. The WinGun was defective. I completed the online form for a product return and no response. I again used live chat to speak with a representative that emailed me a return number and advised me I would have to pay shipping to return the item and I could only get a replacement or store credit. This is 32 days after I ordered the item and it arrived broken! Horrible company, horrible customer service, defective product, waste of my time and they don't even apologize or attempt to make it right. Shop elsewhere.

My son spent his birthday money on an airsoft gun at Hobbytron.com-$175.00. The gun was broken when it arrived. They claim to have a 30 day return policy. I emailed them their required return authorization form after about a week. I didn't hear from them so I tried calling and was routed to a message center. They never returned my call. I used their customer service email and got nowhere with that. I filled out another return authorization form and still nothing. This is the worst online shopping experience I have ever had by far. It seems Hobbytron is great at taking your or your children's money, but if there is a problem with your purchased item, they give you the run around or flat out ignore you. Save yourself a load of frustration and shop elsewhere.

Defective company

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! We ordered a gun for our grandson for Christmas, he took it out of the box to try it and it didn't work properly. We wanted to return it and get a refund but were told if it's taken out of the box and played with it is not considered defective. How do you know something is defective without trying it! I was on the phone a very long time trying to get a refund without results and they finally said they'd send us another gun. We'd already replaced the gun and just wanted a refund without success. They replaced the gun and now we have another gun that we have no reason to have.

Do yourself a Favor and spend your hard earned money somewhere else. Anywhere else. Or I guarantee you will be sorry. I barely got through their fake phone service to place the order which was a big red flag. After sitting on hold for ten minutes youre asked to leave a message and they do not return those calls (even after the holidays) they finally anwered and took my order then waited the entire week to ship it while lying to me that it had shipped. They sent me defective toys that I bought my children for christmas Morning and when i tried to call them of course they dont answer or return calls. The chat is a scam as well as the first rep refused to call me because "she was on the phone with fedex" but promised a supervisor would call. No call. Then the second rep gave me o number to reach a suervisor (ext 118 - Katie) but i onlly got fake voicemail several times. The third rep explained that i had to fill out an online RMA form which i did but it was fake too as i never heard back. So they will take your money (180 for me) but ignore you and hope you'll go away when yo realize youve been scammed. I now see all of the similar stories so i hope they get ran out of business or that karma will get them all :) The most unethical and pathetic business ive ever experienced. Very dissapointing for my children! Dave in AZ

This is the worst company I have ever deal with brought 2 helicopter batteries and neither one was good tried to get in touch so I can get a rma number, have been trying to get in touch for 3 weeks, after calling, emailing and leaving message no one contact me, so all I can do is call it a lost so disappointed in this company, I wish I would had look at the reviews before I ordered,

One of the worst companies to deal with. I ordered an R. C Firetruck and got a defective one. Then I got a Store Credit to use. They have no customer service. So you are never going to be able to use your credit. It is really a business which rip off money from unsuspecting consumers.
NEVER BUY ANY THING.
I like to know how to reach the CEO of this company.

First, I did not receive my complete order. But my credit card was charged for the complete order. Have been trying to reach HobbyTron by phone (left messages) and email, and FaceBook. No one has gotten back with me, even tried the "live Chat" does not work!.
Second, one of the two items I did receive does not even work.

I have never had this bad an experience with any retailer before, not sure how they stay in business.

The worst place to order from. Paid extra to get my son's Christmas present delivered and the jerks didn't even bother to put the order in until the 31. Costumer service reps more than rude unwilling to help.Don't order from them they are crooks.
