The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

I have obtained some amazing items over the years at amazing prices but i have also got some junk too. The auctioneers usually make that right though. Over all I realy enjoy my hibid experience and recommend it to many of my friends
Experienced no problems. Great website! Always a great
Auction experience.
The description and the pictures of the product did not match what we got, after we picked up the box and opened it wasn't even close to the pictures they showed and even the description they got off of Amazon did NOT match the actual trellis and planter box very disappointing
Takes time to find the right auction but bidding was real easy. I'll be back!
Had a great experience. Got a lot of great deals on a lot of good items. Ended up bidding for some things I didn't expect but overall very satisfied with the website responsiveness and functionality.
You would log in. Registered to bid. Sometimes it would let you bid sometimes not. App keeps crashing. At times it will not let you log in. I've lost numerous things that I wanted to bid on. Because it would not let me. I've called in several times no one has returned my call yet. Done on a android phone.
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re truly sorry to hear about the issues you’ve experienced with logging in and the app crashing. We understand how frustrating it must be to lose out on items due to these technical difficulties.
If you’re still experiencing trouble, we recommend using the mobile browser instead of the app, as it tends to perform more reliably, especially during high-traffic moments.
We sincerely apologize for the lack of response to your calls. We take your concerns seriously, and we’re committed to resolving this. Please feel free to reach out to us again, and we’ll prioritize assisting you with these issues.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope we can make things right moving forward.
I bid on a monitor that showed a retail value of several hundred dollars. After bidding and opening later I believe the description was changed to include the word "broken".
Likewise, I believe the word "used" was added to a description of an item close to closing.
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the issues you encountered with item descriptions being changed mid-auction. We understand how frustrating it can be when descriptions are altered, especially after placing a bid.
Changes like this should be communicated clearly, and we take these concerns seriously. We recommend reaching out to the auction house directly to discuss the situation. If you need assistance connecting with them or have any other concerns, please feel free to contact us.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope your future experiences are much smoother.
I was placing a bid and while only watching my items (My Bids). It was getting stuck as it would not refresh until 60 seconds. So I was hitting refresh after each bid and then it froze and I lost the bid.Yet we opened another computer(#2) and was watching the bids without bidding or logging in and every second it was refreshing. That was the only way I won the bid battles, using 2 computers. They would bid and I would not see it on computer #1 or hear the ding, until the 60 seconds were up. On computer #2 showed the items and dinged each time someone bid on one of my watched items. Also while watch and it goes to about 1-2 minutes left it goes into the lightening rounds and hides the cost and you cannot see your max bid ever. How can you contact customer service while in the heat of bidding?
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry for the issues you faced with bidding and refreshing. We understand how frustrating it can be when updates aren’t real-time. For smoother bidding, we recommend using a mobile browser or ensuring both browsers are up to date.
We also understand the challenges with lightning rounds and max bid visibility and are working to improve the experience.
Thanks again for sharing, and feel free to reach out if you continue to have issues.
Absolutely was told from a friend about this online auction got amazing deals, the process was so easy, and felt secure in giving my information. Definitely will be visiting more Auctions thank you HiBid
As a new bidder to this site-
LIKES: 1) I like the platform in that you can use search engine in several different ways. A) I like that I can search for a specific area where auctions are taking place b) I like that I can search for and bid on a particular item. 2) I like that each auction is split and I can have several auctions going at the same time. 3) I like the watchlist potion…whether I am bidding or not…I like to watch bid items and other items for future pricing.
DISLIKES: 1) I do not like that fact that when I select the watchlist…the money I am bidding is shown as one lump sum. None of my bids are split so I cannot tell (unless I try to calculate) which auction has which amount? I would like to see the bid total for each auction in the title of each auction house. This way I can gauge how much I am spending for each auction. In other words…split the money to each auction. This lump sum thing is confusing. Keeping a total at top is fine but I need more specifics about each auction.
2) I understand that some auctions are different than others. But the invoice should be automatic for every auction. I should receive one immediately after the close of every auction. I have paid for several auctions (has hit my bank account) but I still have yet to receive an invoice on a few. This should be automatic so I can see what I won and how much money will be taken from my account.
When it went to bid live, the refresh rate was either too fast, too slow, or sometimes froze up. For some reason it showed me winning an item I did not willingly or knowingly bid on. The only thing I can surmise it that it moved items on me without my knowledge.
Easy to use biding is always fun and fast not much time to wait after bidding starts until it ends
The auction ended at the exact time specified on the website
So I won the auction the times were so close somebody would have bid I probably would have lost something it should have been like more like 5 minutes apart and then at the end I looked everywhere and there's no links to pay for the stuff I mean overall it was a good process but I still haven't figured out where I'm paying if I should just show up to buy it tomorrow with cash or credit card
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry for the confusion regarding payment. We understand how important it is to have clear payment instructions after winning an auction.
Payment links are typically provided by the auction house once the auction ends. We recommend checking your email for an invoice or reaching out to the seller directly for payment details. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact us.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope your next experience is smoother.
Not enough information on products. Unable to change your mind and undo a bid.
Thank you for your feedback. We understand how frustrating it can be when product details are lacking, and not being able to undo a bid can also be disappointing.
We’re always working to improve the user experience, and your feedback is valuable. We hope your future auctions provide more clarity and a smoother experience.
First time bidding and will be back next week to get more stuff
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re truly sorry to hear about the discrepancy between the listing and the item you received. We understand how disappointing it can be when the product doesn’t match the description or photos.
Since each auction house manages their own listings, we recommend reaching out to the seller directly to address the issue. If you're unable to get a response, please feel free to contact us, and we'll do our best to assist.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we hope future experiences are much more positive.
