The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

Bidding was smooth and staff was prompt and very friendly and helpful when picking up my item.
It was almost impossible to get to live bid. I was following a particular lot number, got a phone call, and when I went back to follow the bid the number I was bidding on was not shown. The number before and after was shown and the bidding was still in the active state. I had to try several things to get my lot number displayed again. Happened on more than one lot.
It's happened before this. I've been winning on an item, I refreshed both devices myself and the site goes down, or, my I turned connection won't connect one or both devices!
It only takes a few seconds, but those few seconds could cost someone their bid.
I have lost a bid due to this before and this last auction,it happened twice. Luckily, there were about 5min before the bidding closed.
Just a good thing I do now-to have 2 devices to check on.
The platform is great and gathers auctioneers, all, at the same place. Convenient. However, there are a couple of changes that happened in the last year or so that affected the location feature and email notifications (on my end perhaps). In the past, I was able to default the Hibid homepage to Ontario. Now, I had to save a link to ontario.hibid.com in order to acces it faster but soon as I leave the page, it defaults to the origibal Hibid.com. I tried different browsers but cannot get that back. Another issue is that I lost immediate email notifications soon as I am outbid on a lot.
Another room for improvement is to guide auctioneers to post more photos of the "actual" product that are more descriptive of the item(s) and indicative of the condition of the item being sold. Some just post a single photo with little to no detailed description which makes it hard to bid on. Surprises happen on pickup which are not always fun. They should make some effort for us bidders.
Other than tht, great platform. Keep it going.
It's very easy to bid on hi bid and I would recommend it to anyone
I usually watch auctions weekly and bid on things often. Some I win, some I don't but it is good to be able to do this from my home.
I bid on an electric scooter that they said wasn't missing any parts but as soon as I got it I noticed it is missing a battery.
Always fantastic with the many auctions I have participated on. Hibid has enabled me to be able to change course what I sell in my business to increase my profits. Hibid is my main source for inventory.
Worked great this time have had problems when my internet was cutting in and out, storms
Asked question about an item and got a good response. Use on other auctions went very well. Ease of payment and pickup
Didn't take bids from me in the 1 to 2 minute prior to closing.
This is one great improvement for auctioneers, getting bids from all over the world sometimes, and it's all online, less employees, less back breaking work, and nowadays more moneyβ¦β¦
I love the site myself, credit card submitting can be a pain sometimes but it's all in the day! :)

No real problems or issues. Just made my bids and monitored them with my watch list until final hour of bidding.
I thought the process was very clear and easy to use. I would like to see better specifications on the items. There were several mirrors I was considering but had no measurements. Will be a repeat bidder, overall a really good experience.
Was pretty much pleased but when picked up winning items item was missing they could not find it said they would look for it and contact me
Very easy to use. Straightforward and easy to comprehend. Was very pleased.
Periodically (about 40%), going to "Live Bid" experience network disconnect, or less often, unable to access live bid, at all, requiring bidding using the catalog itself and watching closely the 60 sec. Refresh.
This occurs when using an Android phone. Typically not as bad when using a PC.
Thanks for your detailed feedback, and apologies for the delayed reply. We understand how frustrating it is to experience network disconnects during live biddingβespecially on mobile.
For a more stable experience on Android, we recommend using the mobile browser instead of the app when possible. It tends to handle live auctions more reliably than the app in many cases.
We appreciate you sharing thisβit helps us identify where improvements are needed. Wishing you smoother bidding ahead!
The people where great to work with and the bidding process was really easy.
Really enjoy bidding and watching items of interest, BUT.it is frustrating when items have closed and no selling price is posted by the auctioneer...some never post what an item has sold for.even if you bid/prebid, it only tells you that you have been outbid - but not by how much...
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.

Thanks for your feedback, and sorry we didnβt respond sooner. We understand how frustrating it is to receive an item that doesnβt match the descriptionβespecially something as important as a missing battery.
Since each auction house manages their own listings and inspections, we recommend reaching out to the seller directly to report issues like this. We're also happy to help connect you if needed.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope future experiences are more positive.
