Fees are ridiculous

The fact that every seller on here has there own buyers premium, made up shipping amounts and most charge there state taxes even when shipping makes it so that most people end up paying MSRP or over on Firearms, the First auction I won items on was a very reputable company out of Mass, easy to work with, very fair shipping and answered the phone when you called. All other since have been worse than Ebay.

Great Place to find collectibles

I bought three items and was glad to find them on here. This is a great place to find things you're looking for. If there was one thing that I wish was different, it would be that right when the auction has ended, and you are the high bidder, instead of it saying you are the winner, it say's you may be the winner. I just like to know instantly that I am the winner. Overall, this is the place to find good stuff at a bargain price.

More difficult than it needs to be

Almost impossible to get signed in. Kept getting notice card not accepted so tried another. All got rejected (supposedly). However, when I went back, I found that I had opened several accounts as all cards had been accepted...

Mostly very good experience

When looking at listings from LUXX LIMITED AUCTION GROUP there is a duplicate of the listing header covering the bottom section of EVERY SINGLE PICTURE. If one is unable to preview the items for whatever reason, you would like clear pictures where you can see and inspect the entire object without any portion of it obscured. I don't know a good reason the items header would need to be stated both as the header and across the photos, as labelling once seems quite sufficient.

Pick up times

Auction sites need to have longer pick up hours especially if they only give you one week to pick up your items. Business hours don't work for people who actually work roughly the same hours especially if they live out of town.

Good, not great

I've had items that were posted as new in box in working order, be broken. I've been charged for items that were not actually available to me when I go to pick them up. I feel like some auction houses drive up the price on their bids with automated accounts, and some are purposely selling broken items, and not informing us before we place bids. With that being said, I have won some decent items as well, but the bad outshines the good sometimes. Could be a great site, if it were policed and regulated better.

Be aware, about 30% of what you see is broken. Several of the sites know this and don't allow you to inspect prior to bid. Lots of last minute snipes, know what your top floor is so you don't overspend.

The platform is not intuitive to use and the iPhone app is prone to glitches.

For example on one auction I bid, it showed as "won" (I even took a screenshot) and a few hours later my "win" disappeared from my profile and the winning bid magically became a live bid on the same item but with an extra 24 hours of time on the auction.

No clear reasons why this would occur. The FAQ was lacking detail especially for a buyer and the difference between auction types is poorly defined. Additionally, I strongly suspect that some (many or even most) of the auctions on the platform have large numbers of shill bidders. Why? Because you can see the same item with the same photos appear week after week, auction after auction, despite being "won" previously. There appears to be no rule against this illegal and unethical behaviour.

I am also shocked by the fact that the platform appears to do no due diligence on the authenticity of items, the veracity of photos, or even the quality of the auctioneers.

Online gun auction
January 2, 2025

Registering and bidding was easy. Now we have a paid invoice for our items but it doesn't give a phone number or other way to contact the sellers to arrange pick up. We have been told in an earlier email that we will receive a separate email to arrange the pick up, but they say pick up is today only and we have not heard anything yet. Time is running out and we have not heard anything.
So, the platform is fine, but your sellers need to be more expedient.

Software Needs Work

Frequent user and generally like the site, but the item viewing functionality needs work. On IPhone and IPad it is often difficult to load photos, scroll photos, enlarge photos, etc. I tap and tap and nothing happens, or it freezes, or glitches and goes back to top of page, etc. When it works as it should, it's painfully slow. When the clock is ticking, things should work faster and better.
