I Love Erin and Ben they are the new Chip and Joanna Gaines. I was so disappointed when Chip and Joanna stopped their shows but HGTV has proved they are the best at home improvement. Erin and Ben make me feel happy and confident to start home projects. I Love to see their transformations. Keep up the good work!
I for one love hometown, they are much easier to watch than Joanna and chip Gaines. They are a fun loving couple I would love to have as friends. They appear real and themselves, which I love. Erin's design is always a little different than fixer upper. Fixer upper is one main theme and hardly deviate from that. Hometown really ask their people what they do and don't like and what is important to them. I give them 5 thumbs up! Unless its a 10 thumb count then its 10 thumbs up! Ben and Erin I hope you read this and know there are people out here who love your show and don't miss one episode! Keep up the great work. Jim Walter
I have watched HGTV a lot. All of a sudden Home Town is on almost every night. I don't care for their work. Love it or List it and the Property Brothers are okay. Anything else and Home Town I thin are not good picks. Occasionally you have an old Fixer Upper. Please put something else on. In my view. Home Town is a flop. Cristina on the Coast is not that great either. What is going on with HGTV programming?
I am completely obsessed with every single episode. Y'all are AWESOME. I'm singing your praises.
Season 2 Episode 10 you were snowed upon.
It was absolutely gorgeous. That home, and landscape, covered with a light blanket of snow looked stunning.
I felt bad that you kept apologizing for it. We all LOVED it.
It is a breath of fresh air to watch a married couple work together so well. They are genuine in that their love and respect for each other sets a high standard today. I adore her simple artwork. Our home is in need of a makeover for our handicapped daughter who was diagnosed with SMA. If they ever chose to help people in difficult living situations... They would be my first pick to help us renovate... BEN with his braun and Erin with her amazing insightful talent. Get MY VOTE... 100% Right now, I look forward to coming home from a long day of teaching and watch episode after episode! Thanks you two.! You help people dream!
I am so very tired of property brothers! They have become very annoying characters. I used to watch a lot but stopped a couple of years ago. Can't stand even stopping momentarily on the station. I almost scream and go to another channel. :).
I also think Christina is a very bad personality for TV. She is just not likeable.
Lastly (promise:-) The program I love is House Hunters International -- except when for the homosexual couples. No, I'm not homophobic; I just don't want to watch same-sex shows. I record all the HHI but lately there have been so many homosexual couples, I just killed the series. (and the new ones? Throuple, or something like that. Uh, I think not.)
HGTV used to be a nice, normal, family value station. No more. I find myself watching it less and less.
Sorry for the kind of rant, but, hey, it's my first post!
Christina on the Coast is horrible! This season, the whole talk show outtakes... who cares about her husband or kids, they'reall over her IG. I'mtired of seeing that or outtakes to her friends, her chosing a home... its boring & unnecessary. Its a home design show, not a drama filled soap opera. Keep all that crap out.
Im no longer watching unless the show changes theme.
Hgtv used to be my go to channel as I am an insomniac. However, it's spending so much time showing gay couples and now triples or whatever that is. It's no longer a safe and family friendly show. What's next, men who have relationships with dogs, children, rocks? It's absolutely disgusting how you have swayed to the perverse!
I love the show and my wife and I watch every show the one concerns
I have is watching the craft an that they use to build there kitchen cabinets is going loose a finger or two he is pushing small boards through the table saw without a PUSH STICK. His fingers are less an inch from the rotating blade. This is not away to increase your ratings. David McCaulder
I used to like the first few shows but after watching how they charge home buyers ( they target Young kids) outrageous prices to renovate their home when in fact they take old stuff off existing and paint over it I seen so many episodes where they do this and it bothers me The Husband does have nice craftsmanship on what he makes but I just seen a show where they renovated a girls house left to her from her father she has 120K all they do is tear the walls down and make a door from it, they do some landscaping and put up some sheet Rock and paint it just seems the price they charge don't match the outcome of product. And the fakeness of the designer ( Erin I think) she acts like she is an angel but probably goes home and boozes it up LOL
HGTV shows and personalities used to be very diverse, inclusive and inspiring. NOT Home Town. Unlike Chip and Joanna (Fixer Upper), this couple isn't very inclusive or open-minded... or mature for that matter. The guy's got a chip on his shoulder, not only is he ungracefully cocky but he also treats his helpers with a lack of respect that you didn't see in other HGTV shows. In addition, they're a rip-off; we've all seen flips, and we know how much money it takes to do a total gut job in a kitchen (15-20K) with high-end modern finishes. I've seen this guy charge from 35K up for an unimpressive kitchen where he ended up building some of the items himself. Total rip-off. Seriously disappointed in HGTV.
This used to be a reliable channel to watch. Lately though the programming has really gone down hill. Where is house hunters-all these flipper shows and endless reruns of Chip and Joanna Gains-are just not entertaining. All the flips look alike and they are all done for unreasonably low amounts of money. The Gaines time is over and done. Lottery Dream Home is thinking outside the box and is enjoyable. Surly you can come up with something different than the same formula for professional flippers. Look to the likes of Brett Waterman for inspiration
Good Bones. Really bad show. Like highschool competition between mom and daughter and "go to guy". Please rethink this show.
Her new show is awful. It's like she wants to show off her outfits. Tip, comb your daughters hair and dress her as nice as you do yourself. She always looks bad. Christina's fake smile is so irritating. Her ex-husband has better design style. He needs to have a show of his own. The only clients she has are friends. What clients.
I love, love, love this show because the designs aren't cookie cutter. A lot of the designs aren't what I'd choose, but I absolutely love how Grace customizes the design for individuals. I also adore Grace's smile. Her personalality is infectious in the best way!
We just love Home Town! Erin and Ben Napier are awesome people with tremendous talent. We are addicted to HGTV. My husband and I are from Boston, MA, and love watching Home Town.
This is a terrible show. Designs are just meh and some is just tacky. Feels like a less talented and less charming copy of Home Town.
I work at home and watch this HGTV endlessly. Re: Fixer to Fabulous, orig date 11-15-19, But, there's been a real rash of reno's whereby decorators take down useful upper cabinets & replace with relatively useless "open shelving". Sure, it's great for cool staging appearances - but ridiculously absurd for a functional kitchen. Come on, some of these decorators must actually use kitchens & realize the NEED for cabinets to store dry goods, etc. Most cans, boxes are not attractive. And, what's this BS of tearing out perfectly good cabinets and trashing them - disgustingly wasteful. Overall, I like Fixer to Fabulous. But check out photos - there's no storage in after.
Why oh why do you want to resurrect Christina?. She is infinitely unlikable and comes off whiny and entitled. Can't you find other talent out there?
Thanks a lot for your perfect service. I was impressed. I bought here my chairs for the garden. They are so nice.
Answer: There are SO many commercials for Hometown ( more than 6 per hour), I won't be watching it because I am sick of the couple posing and posing. So many commercials mean something is wrong with the show. HELP PLEASE!
Answer: I agree! Landscapes, gardening... something that blends in vegetation to give a nice break from home remodels.
