Please stop Christina!
December 25, 2019

Do we really need to see Christina buy a $4M home and stress out over the pool? Why did this come back for a 2nd season? Barf! I'll flip the channel.

Flip or Flop
December 21, 2019

This is probably the worst HGTV show I have seen. If Mrs. Picklepuss and Mr. Knowitall can, t work together then get them off the air!

Don't like
December 21, 2019

I'm almost sad to think this way but it is so prevalent in this day and age. I have loved the hgtv network but find that it is dwindling. There are never any shows with people of color and there has never been a person of color to win the dream home giveaway. I am very disappointed that it feels that the network is very biased.

HGTV - Up Your Game
December 14, 2019

HGTV - it's time to stop spreading such horrendous design to the masses. From Property Brothers, Flip or Flop, Good Bones, the design is so sub-standard, the staging particularly atrocious, and you should be ashamed for not rising to a higher standard. You are teaching a whole generation to accept mediocrity instead of elevating design to a higher level. You push cheap, temporary product, made overseas instead of well crafted, quality furnishings. There is no attempt to educate on re-use, recycle, and environmental issues pertaining to landfill. Why not have a show that highlights homes being built with LEED certification? I'm finding I'm watching less and less HGTV every day...

I've recently watched the HGTV show "One of a Kind". The first one was SO BAD I had to watch more episodes to ensure it wasn't a flook. This is the WORST show ever! When is gluing plates and silverware to the walls EVER been considered 'design'! Truly talented designers must be screaming at the atrocities this woman commits on people's homes. Since when is wallpapering ceilings in every home she does--with horrible wallpaper--okay! NEVER! HGTV must be desperate to find shows to fill spots to settle for this. No one/show should be this desperate! Dump this awful farce of a design show and get some good shows back!

Texas Flip & Move
November 10, 2019

I do NOT care for this new show at all. Anyone who has ever been to Texas, knows someone from Texas, or even watched any shows featuring someone from Texas (such as Fixer-Upper), knows that MOST of the people from Texas neither talk like the folks on the new show, or act like them. What's the deal? I guess people will do a lot for money, but these people act almost comically "simple" & we (In TV land) all know they are not. If they were, they couldn't turn these flips into beautiful homes, tastefully decorated by today's standards & run a successful business. No respect for this new Texas Flip & Move show & I couldn't stand the day-long dose of it today (I'm sick at the moment), so I shut it off. BLAH!

I've become increasingly frustrated with the current programming on HGTV. The formula for most fix-it shows is: destroy the old (rarely is material saved or reused, and there is never a mention that it otherwise goes into a landfill), install all new stuff after running into a couple of problems, stage beautifully, and show the result. That's all inside the home. The outdoors, if addressed at all, mostly shows new hardscaping, or a few unnamed and unimaginative plants as an afterthought. There is no demonstrated plant expertise. In fact, most stars don't even know or care what the existing or new plants are.

I can't believe that the network continues to rehash this formula with no connection to the environment. Where is the focus on sustainability? (Reduce, reuse, recycle?) Instead of glorifying "demo," why not make a real effort to save materials either to reuse in the project or donate to a charity like Habitat for Humanity? Identify existing materials that are kept out of a landfill as a win-win and far easier on the environment.

Then, PLEASE put the "G" back in "HTV." In keeping with environmental responsibility, please get away from using exotic trees, perennials, and annuals. Rather, look at native plants for the particular regions of a show and note how they help struggling birds, butterflies, and other local critters. This is the purest kind of sustainability, and YES, native plants can be extremely attractive and work well in the landscape. Contact local experts and make this a real feature on a program.

Both of these suggestions could be incorporated in a single show that highlights sustainability and advertise it as an effort to address trash and climate issues. HGTV could find this to be important to a lot of viewers: not just making a home, but making a difference.

Enough is enough with property brothers, live it or list it, fixer upper, House hunters. Put back anything with Sara Richards or Candace. There was a learning experience with these shows. Too many reruns of the same old thing. Put on Dave and Cortney Wilson. Why take off the good shows and keep with the reruns of a million property brothers or fixer upper

I love watching hgtv for great home inspiration but since the new flip or flop is on I turn the channel off. I can't stand Christina's nasty comments and eye rolls towards Tarik. If they can't stand each other why is this on? Please take it off I'd rather watch reruns of any of your other shows.

I hate the condescending way she acts to Tarek. Her spending and snotty attitude is so far from the reality of most people's lives. Would love to see some shows that have practical real applications with normal budgets. Also, don't get the Brady House as a series at all.

Just watched the new episodes of Flip or Flop and I see they still do boring gray and white designs. I'd much rather watch Desert Flippers, Flip or Flop Vegas and of course Fixer Upper. The others may do some crazy designs but at least they make it interesting to watch. I'm more interested in the people actually doing the work. I mean, anyone could do what they do. How do they have a show just hiring a contractor and laborers and shopping for tile? I watched Christina's show and it looks as though she literally does nothing but go to the tilie store and pick out cute tile. I could do that! Bottom line is both shows are boring and I think their day in the spotlight has come to an end.

Getting too divirsified
September 4, 2019

We are not watching as much because they are showing too many gay guys. Also, too many mixed couples. I don't mind some but it's getting to be too much, even the commercial on this show. We like David on the Lottery homes. I've spoke with many others that feel the same way.And yes, Christina is getting to be like a soap opera. Used to be my favorite station, but do not watch it as much.

Racist Language
September 2, 2019

I had never watched Home Town before and I will never watch it again because of a racial slur. In Season 2, Episode 2 the show is renovating a home for a black school teacher. At one point in the show Jesse the "lil Brother" is asked to make a large table for the teacher's family to hold 11 people. Jesse asks, "Do you mean regular size or $#*! size? WHAT? Are you serious? How can you let this type of language pass? That is so racist. Jesse is a good example of why many people in this country think that southerners are rude, crude and disgusting racists. HGTV you really blew it with me.

Pure garbage

They had your channel on in the waiting room of my Doctor's office. I was stuck there for 45 minutes waiting to be called back. What made the waiting absolutely excruciating was they had your channel on and was force fed your crappy programming.

Get rid of Christina already! She's as fake as it gets and completely useless on a home renovation show. What exactly does she do anyway? She only care about her appearance... she does not belong on HGTV!

Really?
July 31, 2019

After watching a few minutes of her new show, ( Christina on the coast) it really solidified my negative feelings for both of these shows. This really exemplifies the problem in our society today, more isn't better. Christina lost all credibility with the display her own home, and expense Is ridiculous! She isn't the girl next door that she tries to be. She is a material girl in a world when it isn't cool any more.
