Can I just enjoy the great shows without the constant reminder that we are in a pandemic? I am so tired of the depressing commercials. If I want depression then I will just skip my favorite shows and watch CNN. Please stop!

Flipping 101
April 30, 2020

He is nothing except an ego on the loose. Christina kept him grounded. Stupid immature facial expressions and you can easily remember dumb buys he done and she would have to rescue the design. Acts like a professional male prostitute in my opinion. Had to hook up with a look a like wants bee. To be a successful real estate person she must show listings in head to toe feed sack. Disgusting show. I made through a couple now record so I can fast forward. Same couple of idiots for him to advise. Love where they prove the pro does not know everything. Wake up HGTV. Flipping 101 sucks makes one wonder if she dumped him for being on both sides of the fence.

LOST A VIEWER
April 26, 2020
Updated review

The woman saying what the people are doing like going up the stairs, or opening the door is still jabbering away, too annoying for me it ruins Lottery Dream Home and House Hunters which I enjoyed, there are a lot of other channels to watch, plus other shows are being repeated so much I know the people by heart so BYE

When did the robot with the female voice become incorporated in House Hunters? The episode of the couple buying a home in Mesa AS was extremely irritating. Please allow the viewers to use their own brains.

Home Town
April 24, 2020

Home Town is different from the other HGTV shows. Where most shows tear down a house and make it look like a furniture warehouse, for the most part Home Town keeps rooms separated. What is this craze for open concept? Doesn't anyone entertain? Do people like having their messy kitchens visible to people as they have dinner or does no one use their kitchens? A working kitchen doesn't look pristine as it does during staging and filming, which is why the Property Brothers always tell their homeowners to "keep it clean." And Ben is a star--he is talented. He makes beautiful furniture and he does a lot of the work that requires his talents. And because this is a home decorating/renovating show, I'm happy to see that they limit their daughter's visits cute as she may be. Chip and Joanna became very tiresome when they focused on themselves and their family.

Demographics for Laurel, Ms. Report 61% African American, 35% Caucasian, 4% "other". Why then are 95% of the house buyers Caucasian?! WTF! HGTV is selectively racist! In fact I would hazard a guess that 94% of all the house purchases go to Caucasians! WTF?!

Just trying to look at a photograph is impossible. You not only have to look at 5 ads first but then you have to scroll through photos to find the one you had clicked on. Why would I ever come back to any of you sites.

This review is for David Bromstad, the host for My Lottery Dream Home. What s handsome personable great host he is! Not many people can hold down a show like that all on their own. He is so charismatic and caring to his clients. He is genuinely interested in them. I hope he gets paid well... he deserves it. Please let him know how handsome and talented he is and that he does not need anymore tattoos (or even the ones that he has). The are taking away from the natural beauty he already possesses.

I use to love watching HGTV. I still like it somewhat. I have a problem with the Home Town series. Every week they have been showing repeats and claiming that the series is NEW. They show the same series that was done before, and has stooped to giving the particular series another name. Same people same house. Please stop insulting my intelligence. I know what I saw before, neither am I senile. This is outright FRAUD. If you don't have enough new shows for one season, quit recycling old ones and pretending that they are new. Ugh. We live in a dishonest world. I am so mad that HGTV, or the cable company would resort to these fraudulent practices. "CABLE ISN'T FREE"

Enough of Home Town
March 24, 2020

Home Town is being shown too much - time to end it. At least move it to daytime to give night time viewers a break.

Home Town
March 23, 2020

I love this show. It's so real and down to earth. It's not extremely overdone design but just comfortable living. Ben is a good craftsman and he always repurposes something cool for the new owners. They love each other! I just wish they would let Erin say "Oh my Word" sometimes. They censured her and it's too bad. They are both the real deal!

I have watched HGTV since the beginning, sometimes almost exclusively due to my love for design and beauty. The last three or four years I have suffered through enough subway tile, white shaker cabinets and gray decor to make me loathe them all forever. Christina is paralized without them- bore, bore, bore. But you have finally hit an all time low with One of a Kind. Help me Lord. This gal turns every house into a craft project gone wrong. She seems nice enough but really? I would gut the whole thing after she leaves. I can't tell if the homeowners are just in shock or are seriously happy their house was ruined for TV. I am about to bail if this is all you can come up with.

I loved the show with the older gentleman from Belize. Finally someone with a little character on the show. I have seen it three times now, and I get a kick out of it every time. More shows like this please, if possible.

In Episode Ads
March 16, 2020

I do not appreciate the in episode ads. I do not see it as a good trend for TV viewing. If it continues and spreads across multiple channels I will cancel my cable.

I believe that every one of their shows are contrived, staged and pre-planned from the get-go. So as long as you understand that, you won't be so fooled into thinking that these couples are really so shocked by seeing their new and "improved" homes. It's all FAKE. As long as you're okay with that, then some of the shows are entertaining. For example Good Bones, where Mina is actually doing things. Albeit Karen is a hoarder and bizarre.

As to taking a historic home and gutting it, (Home Town and Windy City Rehab) rendering the original plan and finishes to the garbage heap and then suddenly finding an "antique" in a shop (worse yet, making something look old) and incorporating it into the decorating, and then deeming it preserved IS NOT PRESERVATION! There is nothing worst then these talentless "designers" running around pretending that they care about the historical fabric of a structure and then tear it all out!

And if you want to watch RERUNS, RERUNS, RERUNS! By-all-means, tune in to HGTV.

Their designs are not desirable. It's almost like the saying, "putting lipstick on a pig". Final designs have many imperfections. Chip and Joanna Gains wannabes!
