Giving a 1 because there is no zero. Placed an online order on 12/14/2022. Was quoted a total price, which I wrote down. When I received my credit card statement, I was charged more than what I was originally quoted. Called customer service and the representative told me that he could see in his system that I was refunded the difference on 12/13/2022. How can the refund be before the purchase? Watch and review your credit card statements. I am sure I am not the only one Harry & David is scamming!
I placed an order for a sympathy basket. When I placed the order I realized that they were shipping in 2 days. My error for not catching. I called Harry and David 20 minutes after I placed the order on line to explain that no one would be at the shipping address and asked for the shipping to be delayed until 1/30/23. I was advised that they changed the shipping date. There was wine on this order, so the order needed a signature upon delivery. Well, Harry and David never changed the shipping date and Fedex tried to deliver it 3 times. I had numerous phone call and emails to Harry and David and each time they assured me the delivery would be 1/30/23. I finally contacted Fedex (another ordeal as you can't speak to someone), and was able to change the delivery date to 1/30/23 even though by this time the shipment was going to be sent back to Harry and David. Upon delivery, the recipient advised me that 2 of the pears were spoiled and the rest were very soft. More pears are going to be shipped to replace these. I will never order from Harry and David again. Their customer service team has a regimented script, lie, and they do not know what they are doing. I will be writing a formal letter to Harry and David with all the details.
Orange's arrived and i was sent baby bell tangelo orange's which were mushy and at least three were all ready un-eatable did have the grape fruit yet don;t know what to expect sent my son a tray will call and see if i can cancel hope it's not to late
Family member sent me Harry & David Cushman's Honeywell's for Christmas 2022. Ten of the 18 oranges were rotten. Soft and rotting. They are being replaced but Harry and David need to do better. Shame on you!
My daughter ordered a gift box in early October 2022, in hopes that it would arrive later in the month for my birthday. After many promises, I finally received ONE Jared of preserves THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS! As of today (January 23,2023) I still haven't received the rest of the order. Don't waste your time with these frauds!
The fruit was firm and ripe. Each package of food stuff was more then I anticipated with much better quality then I have gotten from any other gift basket. When The box came we expected 80% packing material. It was almost solid ridiculously yummy and decadent treats! I cannot wait for my next good excuse to order again! Milk Chocolate Moose Munch is scarey good and package was big enough to share with my family of 5!
I place an order on January 14,2023 and my bank account was debited for $330.46. On January 14,2023 my account was debited again for $357.91. I called several times and was told my account was only debited once. I had to open a fraud case with my bank. Please be careful when placing an order with this company. I should have checked the reviews before I place an order
H&D also sell a "Passport" service that for a one time fee, allows shipment of their products for "free" for one year. It allegedly includes free shipment of flowers. One year after using this service, with no prior warning, they auto charge your account again for another year's subscription. The invoice states it is from H&D, and has an invoice #. It also has a phone number to call, which is answered as H&D. The agents then inform you that you have to call a different # to address the charge, that it was made from another "department" and they cannot remove it. This sounds like a bait & switch scam set up to me. Very annoying that I have to waste my time to have an unauthorized charge removed from my account. The invoice from H&D must not be legitimate if they can not then retract it. I am done with this company. I will absolutely not use them again. I cannot get the invoice to copy over without my personal information, but I can share the transaction #: PayPal.

I ordered at least six different H&D baskets for family/friends this holiday. One had one and the bottle was broken and leaked everywhere. They replaced it. It happened AGAIN. Just don't send any of their baskets with wine, they don't know how to package wine.

I cancelled an order because wait time was 3 months. I was owed 72.00 and I contacted them 7 times with the same response. Basically you will get refund when it's convenient for us to give you refund. It's been weeks and no refund given. Sorry $#*! people..

I have ordered Harry and David gifts for many of my friends over the years. This Christmas I RECEIVED a H&D gift. The pears were lovely, however, hard as a rock and before they ripened, the skin shriveled up. There was no flavor whatsoever. I was truly disappointed.
I will absolutely never order from Harry & David again! Not only did the gift get there late, the pears were brown and frozen and turned to mush as they thawed. The family I sent them to tried to call for a replacement and were told that I had already received a refund and was aware of the bad fruit, which was a lie. They also would not send a replacement.
My son ordered a gift for me for Christmas! It was apparently damaged during delivery so never received. They did not have the curtesy to let him no! He asked if I received and I said "no"! He would not have ever know it had never been delivered. They told him "we will send a replacement but it will be December 30th"!
Well I got it but what they sent was two bottles of bubbly wine which was the cheapest most horrid wine ever! We had to pour it out. Probably worth about $3 bucks! They are the worst on line crap ever!
We ewceived the Harry & Davids breakfast muffin basket. Tried it...awful. I would never buy this for anyone and need to somehow let my folks know not to get me this again. I make my own breads and this stuff I'm sure was over-priced and not worth the shipping cost.
The gifts I ordered were SIX days late. The pears are all bruised and inedible. Harry and David, always known for great service and quality product, is not Harry and David anymore. The service and quality have dipped and they outsource the customer service phones to South Africa or someplace where it's hard to understand their speech. Harry and David as we knew it is no more!
For my birthday this year my sweet darling granddaughter sent me a gift basket with all Harry and David products from 1 800 giftbaskets.com which is a sister company of Harry and David, I would never tell my granddaughter that the products in the basket were stale and not edible because it was such a sweet gift from her. I called Harry and David customer service they gave me the phone number for the customer service at 800 gift basket I received a customer service rep on the phone who does not speak English well does not understand what the problem is can't figure out how to locate The information regarding my gift basket by using the delivery address I was placed on hold multiple times eventually hanging up at this point moving forward our decision has been we will no longer do business with Harry and David to send out holiday gifts to our family and friends as we have done for many times in the past several years due to them sourcing their customer service lines to outside the US and not being able to maintain quality standards with her sister companies my rating is a one should be zero and my recommendation is do not purchase Merchandise from these companies.
I just wanted assistance getting my grandmothers address adjusted for the 2nd time with yall since you mashed up my billing address with her address and FEDEX twice called me stating the address they were given from Harry and David was a non-existing address. Contacted last week about the first time and was told it was fixed and would be delivered by 12/23. Then today on 12/28 FEDEX called me again saying the address was still put in wrong by Harry & David. My Grandfather just passed and I just wanted to get my grandmother a sweet treat for her first holiday alone. I've ordered from your company so many times in the past and never had such a terrible experience. Today contacting was terrible the rep wouldn't respond to me for over 20 min. Even after I said hello to make sure they were still there. Then disconnected from me when I asked for a manager. I just want my money back at this point so I can find a new company to send my grandmothers gift to.
H&D are taking orders for products the KNOW they do not have. They are then sending non-comparable items in place. The order was supposed to be fruits/sweets and they sent 100% all bread items; multiple packs of English muffins and multiple breads. The family has gluten allergy and cannot eat. When I called them to get a resolution, they hung up on me. The worst is that they knew they did not have the items ordered yet did not disclose and took the order anyway. This if fraud, do not buy from H&D.

Answer: In the past this company offered excellent quality products--albeit a bit overpriced. Now the price is the same (or higher) but the quality has definitely gone downhill. Not sure if the company was bought out or what, but... I will never order from them again. They have done permanent damage to their reputation and their customer base is eroding quickly.
Answer: Why do you think any of these reviews have anything to do with Politics? That's pretty crazy assumption. My basket was 2 weeks late and that is not Political. It's facts.

Answer: It isn't difficult to reach them via phone, just be prepared for hold times. I would definitely recommend calling them rather than email, the email correspondence I had with them was hopeless.
