Had an international gift box shipped overseas as a wedding gift. Both jar lids came off in transit although the actual jars didn't break. 10 days in transit and everything was covered in sticky goo. The food looks super unappetizing.The box recipients were embarrassed just as I was. Harry and David shipped out new jars but I am leery of their packing and shipping. I was given a 20% off coupon for the inconvenience. 20% for embarrassment and inconvenience - I get better coupons for free from other companies! Sent an email to tell them what happened and received no acknowledgment at all. Waste of time and money - will not recommend HD to anyone and I am done doing business with them.
I will NEVER order again guaranteed 4-7 days now on day 11 called today guy was rude not understanding and stayed quite after heating my dissatifation! Horrible service and Zero customer service ability! Think twice before ordering u will not be happy!
There is simply no way to describe how bad Mother's Day was ruined by this company. I can tell you my elderly mother and aunt did NOT receive their items as promised as a matter of fact as of today 05/11/2021 and Mother's Day was the 9th my mother still has not received anything. My aunt received half of the order with a personalized card that went to the gift Just in case whoever is reading this review does not know Harry and David sends flower orders to 1-800 Flowers. 1-800 Flowers still hasn't corrected the situation although they offered the solution of allowing dead flowers to continue through transit. I was pretty shocked that anyone would suggest something like. Very long story short $400.00 later and my mother never received any flowers, my sister did get hers, although, my mom and sister live in the same house. My mother was suppose to receive a replacement bouquet and yeah that never happened. The very worst part of this nightmare is my elderly mother thought my sister's flowers were for her, so sad. My aunt got her plant one day and after a long collective 4 to 6 hours on the phone over 3 days she finally got her birdhouse. What a mess! Like I said, the customer service was ridiculous from Harry and David and 1-800 Flowers were just as bad. They each kept throwing it back to the other company. I finally refuted my mothers flowers on my credit card. Never ever again!
This review was written by my son on my behalf. I am 84 yrs. Old and do not use computers. My daughter sent me a Harry and David gift for mothers day. It was cake that looked like ice cream cones. Dry cake and soggy cone. I wrote them an e-mail. They want order info. I do not have it as I threw out the package. I do not want my daughter contacted as she will then know her gift was a failure. I sent a follow up e mail explaining this. Harry and David ghosted me so, I had decided to call them and now they are replacing the cakes with a cookie selection. Moral is CALL them because they respond better. Kudos to Harry and David.
I was so excited about getting a mothers day bouquet from Harry and David with a great price and free delivery in Medford. Then, I started looking at the ingredients in the chocolates, and mixed nuts. There is red dye in the chocolates and cottonseed oil in the mixed nuts. Maybe that is not a big deal to most, but a game changer for me. So not okay. It shows how low and cheap a company will go.
Will never order from Harry and David again... very disappointing. My order to my daughter and grandson was never delivered... just a plain candy delivery. My grandson lost his job so sent him a box of candy hoping to make him feel better. No delivery made unfortunately.
Today May 7th at 1pm I was informed by a rep from Harry and David that the order I placed to be delivered to a recovering mom on May 8th could NOT be delivered until June. No explanation was given. No suggestions No Help was offered. Just sorry. The item was advertised specifically for Mother s day after checking I was told it was oversold And when they went to fill our order the ham was finish. Mother s Day letdown the answers were dry and very uncaring. Like who cares we have other customers. Your customers are moms also
I have used 1-800-flowers and Harry and David in the past. Never have my orders been delivered on time. This time though the late delivery is going to result in $150 worth of food sitting outside in Las Vegas going bad.

Went to place an order tonight and the discount for shipping was not applying. Something I recently paid for. So I called them and placed the order over the phone. The young woman was delightful. Communication was flawless. Made a pitch to sell me something bigger and laughed when I said I am
Sure there is something even bigger, but I am not buying. So, I got the discount. Package to be delivered on time for my brother's birthday.
THE ORDER WAS PLACED ON 04-09-21 BUT NOT RECIEVED TILL 4-26-21. WE WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN.
This is the worst company I have every purchased from. I bought three Easter baskets for my Grand Daughters. They said it would be delivered the week before Easter, then when they were supposed to ship, they changed the date to after Easter, and then changed again to an even later date. When I contacted customer service they just kept giving me the same shipping info which said they were not shipped. Then they told me not to worry they would arrive on time, but they did not. I understand that things happen, but three separate orders? And then to just keep telling me everything is ok, even after the date. When you live miles away from your Granddaughters, it's important to have things there on time. Hary & David just don't care about family.
I was not paid for delivery and did not have to pay for it. It was H & D's professional courtesy that made it possible.
I ordered Belgian Artisanal Truffles advertised as 2nd Day delivery, on 1-31-2021, for 2-22-2021 delivery. By 3-3-2021 nothing arrived and there was no communication from Harry&David about delays. I contacted them and canceled the order. I received a refund in two parts: shipping cost+product cost. On 3-16-2021 the recipient received a parcel from H&D. I requested a return label to ship it back, since they refunded. They never emailed the label. On 3-28-2021 the recipient opened the package to find moldy muffins in there. Not sure if they were molded on arrival or while they were waiting to be shipped back. In any case, that's not what I ordered and certainly don't feel like I can rely on them with a delivery on a special occasion.
I spent two days trying to place an order. Chat was no help. I called customer service, which also was no help. I finally gave up. Never again! I won't waste my time. Not sure what the problem was but they are really having problems!
Called customer service and they said, things happen from time to time. But in the box, it says if you are not happy with product, we will make it right. NOT... said sorry. No wonder they have a 2 rating and 18 in list of gift companies. How sad.it was for my mom for Easter. The only thing that was per the picture was just the planter.
So disappointed with this company & should've known when I saw you've attached to poor quality of list like "Celebrations Passport". We stopped using companies on this site after seeing the cheap products & packaging they sent. But H & D had a history of quality...
Today I meant to send one of my friends a special gift & instead saw the disappointing photo of what she received from H & D!
Instead of the nice Harry & David quality, I now see what looks like cheap grocery store plastic boxes of treats my friend received from me at a hefty price!
So shameful!
Ordered fruit and FedEx said it was delivered but I never got it. I contacted customer disservice and they basically just said we are sorry, here's the tracking info. No effort to help at all and frankly over the years the fruit has slipped in quality. I'm done for good with this company.
Originally I was told by two different CSR that they ship to England. When the order was placed I was lied to. Since I had a credit that they honored I ordered for me what I wanted to send to England. One month later I'm still waiting. A supervisor said today it would come and the CSR said by 8pm today it would come. The last CSR says FedX gives it to USPS then I get it! That ‘s just plain stupid. Over Priced Nothing! Placed order for cake delivery on the Feb 20th, no email or call whatsoever! Was supposed to be delivered Thursday, February 25th and contacted FedEx a day before delivery and was told they have not received the cake, only received info of item to be delivered. This was supposed to be a gift for my granddaughter which was the only request for her! Emailed Harry & David about the situation and they were no help at all in trying to get the cake to my granddaughter! All they can say was " so sorry, please give it a few more days to have this problem solved". Really?! NEVER AGAIN! So I made another cake order with BAKE ME A WISH just last night and they followed through with delivery which will be delivered tomorrow Feb. 26! Thank you so much Bake Me A Wish!
The food quality is there but the delivery is unreliable. Two gift baskets, both for Sympathy, were embarrassingly late. The first one, we weren't even notified. They don't offer anything for the inconvenience unless you mention it. This is not good customer service. They used to be reliable. I know about covid, snow, etc, but it had already snowed when we ordered, and not a peep when ordering about "anticipated delays."

Answer: In the past this company offered excellent quality products--albeit a bit overpriced. Now the price is the same (or higher) but the quality has definitely gone downhill. Not sure if the company was bought out or what, but... I will never order from them again. They have done permanent damage to their reputation and their customer base is eroding quickly.
Answer: Why do you think any of these reviews have anything to do with Politics? That's pretty crazy assumption. My basket was 2 weeks late and that is not Political. It's facts.

Answer: It isn't difficult to reach them via phone, just be prepared for hold times. I would definitely recommend calling them rather than email, the email correspondence I had with them was hopeless.
