Was a gift only to find slimy, nasty baked goods. I would never choose this to send to anyone! Go someplace else!
I bought the 2 pack of chicken pot pies for $70 bucks and had wicked Diarrhea! The Petit Fours I paid $40 bucks for had a waxy chocolate coating and a soggy inside. I don't recommend
I just got my cake. It was a great taste. This is my first harry and David. Thank you for making a great cake.
I was to have been issued a refund from December 2021, here it is March, 2022, and no refund. I have written MANY times and told a different story on when it is to be issues, that is has been issued and attitude in the emails. I will be taking steps to make this known and to have it resolved by an outside source. I have been ordering form the for several years. NEVER AGAIN. It was their mistake to top it off.
I've had international orders arrive much earlier! Customer service is useless! This is food, people, and it ain't cheap! Do NOT waste you time, money, or compromise your relationship with friends with whom you are attempting a nice gesture. Stick to flowers delivered by USPS - they'll be dead when the get there, but they will eventually get there. This is strike three with this business, so no more orders from this family.
I was transferred 3 times to get to some that could help me, and they even admitted that the shipping charges are ridiculous. They charged me $22 to ship 5lbs of product, in the slowest way possible, FedEx Ground Economy(7-9 business days…. Maybe). When I inquired about this, I was told because they determine the shipping based on the price of the product and the reason you use FedEx Ground Economy, is because the items are perishable. Obviously they don't know what perishable means. They are marking up their shipping based on the cost of the item shipped and not based on weight, and then shipping the cheapest and slowest way possible. That is unethical on many levels. Needless to say I will never shop from them or recommend them to anyone.
They are never in time and don't do a thing to make it up to you. One Valentine gift was two days late the other owner confused until the 22nd full price by the way. They couldn't care less about their shoddy service. It has happened to me more then once so I'm done.
Needless to say, all three shipments were inedible. They lure you in with excellent pears in a Christmas mixed package, but this is what you will get subsequently
I will be very cautious before ordering again from this company. I placed an order on 2/3/22 for Valentine's Day for my husband and they guaranteed delivery between February 9th-14th. I chatted with someone on 2/14/22 and they assured me it would deliver by end of day. It is now 2/16/22 and still NO package has been delivered. Their items are expensive so they should do better with the quality of service. I will consider ordering from a different company in the future. They did refund my money but they still can't tell me where my package is... so much for that Valentine's gift!
I placed my order in advance so it would arrive before 02-14-2022. I also placed another order with a different vendor that used FedEx as well. The Harry and David order had incorrect shipping info all through the shipping period. The order did not arrive and then when I contacted Harry and David through their virtual chat portal, no update could be provided as they did not have a tracking number. I requested a refund and then they asked to resend the order. I expressed my disappoint and then the virtual chat responded responded that the customer review will be passed on to their customer which is Harry and David. Next time I will buy a gift from a different vendor.
For two weeks they keep saying the order had shipped via FED x. Provide me with a tracking number. For two weeks Fed x said this number does exist. Then they said the order ship today but
Fed x said no such tracking number. It is ashame how far down hill this company has fell
Don't use Harry and David unless you have a long lead time. I made a "get well" gift order for my sister. It's been over 3 days and the order hasn't even shipped yet. Worthless call center foreigner says it will ship in the next "few days." Should have used Amazon.com; she would have had gift before Harry & David even shipped. Also, Harry & David'a standard shipping takes 4-5 business days (a week) unless you pay expensive extra fees. Never again!
I rec'd a doz cupcakes. They were tiny & dry. I offered 2a friend & was disappointed after 1st bite. U lost a customer
No customer service. Lost my order. Several phone calls. Said they would reship. Said they did. Gave me a tracking number. Order never arrived. I searched tracking number. The number never exited. They searched tracking number. They found it never existed. Three months no resolution. Reship order. Lost again. Wait two weeks. Research order. No order existed. Finally they shipped order. It arrived two months late. No accomodations or placating. Never will I order from Harry and David again. So sad. They were once very good.
For the holidays I spent approximately >$200. The quality of the items I received was abominable. TWO plants in ONE herb garden were unusable/DOA. (I don't want to ask about the other GIFT I gave!) I was given a "whopping" $12 credit on the one i purchased for myself.
This is NOT the Harry & David that I remember from decades ago-- I will never EVER purchase from them again.
I have always had great service and quality product until now. Their customer service is one of the worst. The gift i ordered too 14 days to deliver and were mushy. Given so many options for gifts and food gifts especially Harry and David's is now off the list!
Disappointed. I've ordered from them before to send A basket to my nephew when he got married and it went OK. So I decided to order again to send for my daughters birthday box spoke to the woman on the phone she told me that everything would be sent together and it wasn't not! The birthday cake was sent way before the box gift was and they never sent a card stating that the basket was coming when they said they were they charged enough money for the gift and it's extremely late it's still not even there! But the cake was just thrown in a box in front of her house without any note in there I'm disgusted absolutely disgusted! I will never order from them again and it's a shame because the food is good The cheeses are amazing but the package service sucks and when you speak to the people on the phone they miss inform you and the price goes up by the time you're done with the order which makes no sense when you're looking at the catalog or what's online I will never order from them again! Still waiting for my daughter to get her birthday package I'm disgusted!

I wanted to share this to prevent them from wasting your time.
I placed an order on Jan 8,2022, for a Valentine's Day wreath and received an email confirming I would receive my order by Jan 20,2022.
On Jan 18,2022, I received an email stating the wreath was no longer available and that I needed to call in order to choose a different item.
Note: on Jan 18, I checked their website and the wreath was still available for sale
Once they figured it out (10days later) why didn't they simply refund my money?
Instead of wasting my time and forcing me to call in order to "choose a different item"?
Since they left me no choice but to call, I called them on Jan 18th and was told that the email I received was incorrect and that the item was not sold out and would arrive by Feb 2nd.
I was confused by this and explained the email I had received, but the representative confirmed again that there were NO issues with inventory and that my order would arrive by Feb 2,2022
On Jan 26, I received an email stating that they are "unable to process my order because they needed additional information" and that I needed to call or they would cancel my order.
I called and was told my order was sold out and I needed to choose a different item
Why waste my time like this?

I am sorry to say, but this company is incompetent and I will not be doing business with them again.
I ordered a few wine gift baskets, chocolates and some cookies for a client the end of 2021. The order was placed after Christmas and before the New Year and did not mind if it arrived a week or so into the New Year. I receive a phone call about the time it was expected to be delivered (week into January) asking me to verify the recipient's DOB (which was fine,) but then they told me basically everything I ordered was now out-of-stock. I sat on the phone for about 20-30 min trying to figure out what was even available. I did not get what I wanted, did not get a discount, did not get an upgrade on faster delivery as shipping was then delayed by another two weeks and some of my order like cookies was just delivered this week and it's the 22nd of January. This was my first experience with H&D and likely my last. Too unpredictable and stock is not updated on the website and random separate shipping / delivery times and dates is just too confusing. I think I just spend a lot of money to get leftover random stock.
I placed an order ten days in advance and paid extra for the delivery on a particular day. Few days later I received a refund on my card. I was worried, called them and they assured me that everything is fine. Day before the expected delivery I called them again and found out that the order was frozen or something. They fixed it, refunded me delivery charge, and it was delivered three days later. The saddest part is that they did not add customized card I ordered and even were not able to mail it later.
So, if you decide to place order with them, make sure to call few times and check the status of your order. Also, I would not recommend to order customized cards or particular day delivery.

Answer: In the past this company offered excellent quality products--albeit a bit overpriced. Now the price is the same (or higher) but the quality has definitely gone downhill. Not sure if the company was bought out or what, but... I will never order from them again. They have done permanent damage to their reputation and their customer base is eroding quickly.
Answer: Why do you think any of these reviews have anything to do with Politics? That's pretty crazy assumption. My basket was 2 weeks late and that is not Political. It's facts.

Answer: It isn't difficult to reach them via phone, just be prepared for hold times. I would definitely recommend calling them rather than email, the email correspondence I had with them was hopeless.
