I logged in 2 hours ago, I'm not the most internet savvy, but the Harry & David website is a total nightmare. I had trouble navigating the site even though I knew what I wanted, entered it into the search engine. Then I wanted to use the promo code, but I had to have a membership number to use promo code. Nothing said about that on their Home page or in the email they sent me. I tried to sign up for their Celebration Passport and that turned into a complete turd show. To add insult to injury, one is not allowed to delete their membership. Never again!
I am sorry to report the horrendous fruits we have received each month. When I called customer service on Oct. 5th, 2022, the customer service representative kept me on the phone for a full 15 minutes. She could not find my order number and kept putting me on hold. Then finally I asked to speak to her manager, again I was put on hold and was told he is presently on a call. After waiting for a while, I finally gave up. I let the customer service rep know that I was going to ask the person who sent the fruit of the month to stop these monthly gifts. Interesting, that the customer service person could not even find the name of the giver even after I carefully spelled her name and gave the city and state of her residence. I finally called the giver myself and asked to stop the order because she is waiting her money and most of the fruit ended up in the trash.
They charged my credit card for auto membership renewal yesterday, I called their customer services. They transfer me around more 1 hour, and finally someone helped me. They waste customers' time like they are nothing.
They made the online purchase so easy but the return sooo hard. Customers services barely made me understand them. Stay away from them!
Ordered a meat and cheese tray and while it did arrive on time, they didn't sufficiently pack the cheese with ice and it was warm and soggy and had to be tossed. The meat sticks included tasted disgusting. So about 1/3 of the tray was completely wasted. I was too embarrassed to give this as a gift, what a waste of money!
Just received a fruit basket from Harry and David due to my Mom's passing.
The apples and pears were all bruised inside when cut opened. Very disappointed. Thought Harry and David had a better reputation then what I received.
Ordered pears and cheese gift box - arrived in very poor shape - pears were rotten, cheese flattened and soft from the heat. Requested replacement product and they sent it overnight. It was worse than the original order - pears all completely rotten and cheese melted in the plastic wrapper. Lately, everything I order from this company arrives damaged and/or spoiled. I'm done shopping with H & D!
Title says it all. I will never buy another thing from them. I have since tried to unsubscribe from their mailing list SIX TIMES and they never take me off their list. Every email just@#$$%@ me off worse, so now I will leave a bad review each time they continue to spam me.
The last two shipments of fruit have been rotten. Although Harry and David does replace the fruit requires a call and then to deal with the rotten fruit. The peaches were no longer available so they sent clumps they were wrong now they're going to send more. I don't think it's worth the money!
Their online ordering is a disaster. My Gift List from last year is a joke. They sent me a hard copy in the mail which is nowhere close to what they have for me online. I am adding recipients to this year's list and the list literally changes before my eyes - items I have put in my cart disappear; when I try to add recipients, items I have already put in my cart for other individuals also disappear. I have a list of 29 recipients, all with the same order and there are only 24 items in my cart. Go figure! Not doing this again next year.
I have been a loyal customer of Harry & David for years, the convenience (when they get it right) is great.
I'm even a passport member, however when they don't deliver on time (or at all), it's terrible. More than once I've ordered items to be delivered on (or about) a specific date and when they don't arrive I've been told that the shipment was delayed. That's all "it's delayed for a week". One time I was told that my order would be delayed for 2 weeks, now that is not a problem of the delivery service or the order got lost-they know that they are delaying my order. They in no way tried to contact me to give me the option of a substitution or just to let me know. I had to experience the issue of my order not being delivered, then call them just to be told "oh, your order is delayed "
When I contacted someone 'higher up' I was offered a 20% discount-20%! That's what they give everyone in every email ever sent.
There are several other companies associated with Passports and they are much more reliable.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I have a friend from whom we receive fruit from Harry and David 2-3 times a year. Last year we received one bad box, then this year when we received a bad box I contacted Harry and David and they sent a replacement of half a box, which still wasn't good. Today just received a box of pears and applies and the pears are ROTTEN! I'm telling him not to waste his money sending these anymore.
I waited nearly a month and a half for my orange delivery. I was patient, hoping for good oranges. I paid over 35 dollars for a dozen hard, small, sour oranges. I could have bought better fruit anywhere. I won't order from this company again.
David and Harry is fantastic. Not many companies have the personal touch with dealing with their customers. Many companies have automated service but Harry and David offer customer service and you get to talk to a live person. It was great and Grace was fantastic. She was able to get answers to my questions. Thank you. I will never order from another site. No one can compete with Harry and David's products or service.
After selecting a basket for a death and a family based on the clear as day promo stating free today express delivery included I then received a confirmation stating it would be over a week to deliver which was way too long considering the funeral was in 3 days of purchase. I went on chat to make sure we got it within those two days and was given contradicting false information of their delivery process and the rep would not accommodate us at all until I inform them that I would report this to the general attorneys consumer affairs office for false advertisement which was already too late!
There was no tomato juice, but when I asked for water for the walk they gave it to me for free. The staff was spontaneous - two different officers came and asked whether the entire order is complete and felt the answer "no" and did not do anything else. Until I told them about another passion. Overall, it was fine.
Very tasty) decent broth, Caesar salad. My daughter was pleased with the chicken with cheese cap and potatoes. I would especially like to mention our waitress Julia - very friendly, positive and professional! Served with good service) Thank you very much!
I have been a pretty happy recipient of the gifts. I checked on an order and was offered a Lobdter pot pie for $35. This is a good buy but never mentioned an over $16 S & H. Ridiculous. I've learned a lesson

We received a gift package from Harry and David and to our disappointment, every single pear and apple was rotten. We called customer service and received another box (several weeks later) and every apple and pear was also rotten! So, I called customer service and ordered a third box, but this time I told them not to send me fruit! Even though I would never order from this company again, the customer service people were very polite and listened to my concerns.
I gifted my son and family oranges pears and cheeses for arrival of new baby. They just told me several oranges had mold

This review covers ALL of Harry & David, not just Los Angeles. Never have I experienced such poor customer service. This was the second and final attempt to send a gift basket through this company. Not only did it not arrive on time despite my paying $20 extra to make sure of this, it never arrived at all and is lost in transit, so you can imagine the humiliation not to send an anniversary gift to my son and his wife on their 3rd anniversary. Extremely low grade customer service and I will inform those around me NEVER to use Harry & David again. Plus it was very expensive and unlike most companies, they charge for shipping. When I called customer service they ended up refunding this exorbitant price, but I was left without a gift and nothing to send.

Answer: In the past this company offered excellent quality products--albeit a bit overpriced. Now the price is the same (or higher) but the quality has definitely gone downhill. Not sure if the company was bought out or what, but... I will never order from them again. They have done permanent damage to their reputation and their customer base is eroding quickly.
Answer: Why do you think any of these reviews have anything to do with Politics? That's pretty crazy assumption. My basket was 2 weeks late and that is not Political. It's facts.

Answer: It isn't difficult to reach them via phone, just be prepared for hold times. I would definitely recommend calling them rather than email, the email correspondence I had with them was hopeless.
