I've used Handy twice so far - once for furniture assembly and once to hang to 40"x30" mirrors. Was not disappointed. Both jobs were completed to my satisfaction and the price was right. I will use Handy for all my handy-man needs!
Lonnie was early to the job and called to make sure that was ok. He got right to work and clearly was competent and experienced in dishwasher replacement. He was friendly but professional. He also knew the product he installed and gave me a run through on operation and features of the unit. Very good experience.

Jon, from Handy, was the best person to put the Wayfair couch together. He was prompt, and polite. Jon is a super handy man, and he left no mess to clean up. He broke down the large box, placed the plastic in another pile, and brought the waste to the dumpster.

One of their "highly rated" cleaners ruined one of my freshly painted walls.
I made a complaint and they asked for a quote for repairs, and I provided one promptly.
It took me 25 emails for them to accept the to pay for the corresponding VAT (Value Added Tax which is payable for any goods or services in the UK), they continued to repeat like parrots that they do not cover for "taxes" - so should I also cover the VAT for the paint, as no one would sell me paint without VAT.
Now they keep delaying to pay for the cost of repairing my damage, claiming it is under consideration (what consideration, I wonder, when all the damages and cost of repairing such damages have been provided 2 weeks ago)
When asked for an address for service of UK proceeding (which seems to be the only way to recover my damage) they gave me an US address as if I had to start an international claim for such a trivial damage.
Appaling service and shocking lack of resposibility - avoid like the plague!
Id avoid hiring this particular individual. I am still dealing with multiple 'misplaced' items. And
On top of things being "moved around" to the point that they dont seem to be in the house at all anymore, to add insult to injury, the actual cleaning of the house was mediocre at best. The other individuals i have used from this app were perfectly wonderful and deserve praise however. My advice would be to make sure you can stay home during her ENTIRE cleaning should you get paired with and choose to keep Marrissa Q in Colorado as your cleaning professional
I made a purchase through Costco and the Handy service was the installer. They were very accommodating since we had to reschedule twice due to snow storms. The installer, Christopher, was personable, informative, respectful, and polite. He even did the install on Sunday which was great. So far my dishwasher is working perfectly, though I only used it once really since I just had it installed two days ago. Definitely recommend. Ask for Christopher to do the install. He was amazing!

I had a handy man name emanuel. Who worked on a couch for me he was very nice and professional. He can at 3:45 instead of 6 he left at 5:49 jr exchanged numbers with me and. Asked if he can do things on The side. He told me I need to message him and approve the 3 hours after I looked on the app he put he came from 6pm to 12am which was false. They tried to charge my card for 3 extra hours I'm happy I have cameras with a time stamp I would never use these app
Again when i contacted customer service they were very rude
We bought a garbage disposal at Lowe's with installation via handy.com. The installer did not show up twice. We took off work two days. Terrible service. Do not schedule installation through Lowe's /handy.com. It may never be installed. Michael P
I had a toilet installed which was good but the installers refused to take away the old toilet which I paid for as part of installation cost. When they were sent back to pickup the old toilet he refused to take the box.
Mark came to our home to install a new toilet through Lowes. He was so friendly and professional. He knew exactly what he was doing and wasted no time getting the job done. I would recommend handy and Mark to anyone. Thanks for the great job Mark.
NEVER do business with Handy.com. They sent a young man who obviously had little to no experience (he needed to hang recently purchased mirror (from Wayfair) --he didn't even have a stud finder! First he hung them too high, then not centered, then not above the sink (bathroom mirrors) leaving multiple holes in my walls --necessitating my hiring plaster/painters and a new handyman to hang the mirror properly! That was in October 2022! After over 28+ emails, getting Wayfair executive offices involved and handy sending out many emails asking for identical information and then asking for contradicting information I was finally paid with the amazing help from Wayfair the end of February --- no such thing "they are not happy until you are" they delay delay and delay -- I had to get the Executive offices of Wayfair involved because they were not responding to the customer service person handling my complaint!

Booking online was easy. Asia was my Pro and she is wonderful to work with. She arrived promptly, and was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. I'd ask for her again!
Terrible experience. Handy was the recommended installation source from Google Nest for a smart thermostat installation. Within the Google Nest app it would link to Handy.com for setting up an appointment. As with most apps of this sort, it gives you "availability dates" to set up an appointment. I selected a date and time---took off of work---then 1 hour before the appointment I received a "due to an unexpected event we will not be able to come today" type message. It automatically rescheduled for another day----so, I take another few hours off of work to be available at home----30 minutes before the installation, again I receive a "due to unexpected event" notification of cancellation. So, I called Handy.com customer support and was told that on both occasions, no one (installer) had ever agreed to do the installation, and that's the reason it was canceled. My point is if you didn't have anyone who agreed to install could you have given me more than an hour's notice since I was needing to take time off of work for the scheduled appointment? I'm thinking this is just some type of booking agency that allows folks to go in and accept jobs---but the follow through is terrible and not client friendly.

Handyman came to assemble and mount Wayfair furniture. He assembled it wrong, including drilling extra holes because he was putting it together with parts upside down, so the pre-drilled holes weren't where he expected them. He also drilled several holes in my wall then left without finishing the job, so the furniture was left on the floor and my wall has random holes in. Complained to customer service when I got back from Christmas family visit and they went back and forth for weeks and then told me they wouldn't give me any refund because "too much time passed". So I paid for the privilege of having my furniture and home wrecked!
Unfortunately I didn't see all the negative reviews on this pathetic company called Handy. I ordered a new garage door opener through Lowes and I went ahead and ordered the install through them as well thinking it would just be easier doing things that way. So Lowes apparently deals with Handy.com for installations. I was initially booked for Monday Feb 6 but the night before I received a text saying they apologize but they need to reschedule due to a last minute call out from a tech. I was rescheduled for Wednesday Feb 8 then same thing happened again and they tried to reschedule me again. I said the hell with that cancel my installation lose my number and give me my full refund. This pissed me off so much.
I've been looking forward to getting my garage door back working and these people were wasting my damn time. Oh yeah, they actually have the audacity to send text messages saying "Get excited, your scheduled installation is only a day away" Yeah a day away from being rescheduled again. Handy.com is some straight garbage and i'm disappointed Lowes deals with these aholes. Says a lot about Lowes who i'm not too fond of either. They suck.
Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.

Answer: Wayfair is also a scam. It's just a matter of time. They are a middle man to hundreds of businesses. They sell products regardless of whether or not the product is available or in inventory. Eventually people will catch on...
