Hampton & Lovett's reputation is notably polarized, with a significant number of customers expressing dissatisfaction regarding service delays, lack of communication, and aggressive marketing tactics. Many reviews highlight feelings of being misled about potential savings and the inadequacy of support received after payments were made. Conversely, a smaller segment of customers reported positive experiences, praising the professionalism and effectiveness of the service in securing substantial savings. This divergence suggests a need for the company to enhance its customer service practices and transparency to rebuild trust and improve overall customer satisfaction.

Hampton Lovett Surveyors are a great team. They save us quite a bit of money on our business rates. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
We have recently worked with Hampton Lovett Consultant Surveyors Ltd in reducing our business rates. Thanks to their expertise they were successful in reducing the rateable value of our premises for the current and also previous years, saving us a sizeable amount.
We have been trading with Hampton Lovett for 6 months now and they are a complete pleasure to work with. All their staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble! A great company to do business with!
Well worth going through the process
Substantial 5 finger saving through our work with Hampton Lovett
On behalf of BSB Transport Limited John and myself would definitely recommend Hampton Lovett Consultants to act on behalf of any company regarding business rates, not only were the services professional and smooth running, we had a result within 2 months of starting the whole process. Hampton Lovett managed to get Land we had acquired from a rateable value of £37,500 to being now delisted and exempt from business rates. A very stress free financial result for the company.
Very pleased with the prompt, professional team at Hampton Lovett Consultants. We would highly recommend them.
Been working with Hampton Lovett for the past few months. Very happy with the service. They have always been professional and a pleasure talk to. I plan to have a long business relationship with them.
Runwood Homes Senior Living have been very pleased to work with Jonathan at Hampton Lovett who has offered the business a rateable value reduction of £5,500 per annum, which leads to substantial savings for the company.
The team at Hampton Lovett were professional and courteous throughout the process of obtaining our substantial rebate. We will save in excess of 10,000 pounds over the next 5 years recouping the initial investment within a year. Can recommend.
HL dealt with our rates appeal in a very professional manner. My contact Dean Garfield was particularly informative and willing to help in all matters. Ultimately we got the result we wanted - highly recommended.
This is unbelievable. After dealing with Hampton Lovett Consultant my business skyrocketed. I would also like to say thank you to all your staff. Definitely worth the investment. Thank You!
As long as I've worked here (a university), an email has arrived about once a week from HL (from a wide selection of probably-made-up names) about the business rates for a dentist elsewhere in the city. The dentist isn't owned by the university, or associated with it. The address being written to isn't that of a human, it's a mailing list for ordering lab supplies. Doing even the slightest bit of research (in the way you might if this wasn't just automated spam) would show the email address is for a bit of the university that has nothing to do with dentistry. The email comes via Emailmovers, who are pretty notorious spammers, and this is all it is; they've bought a list of harvested email addresses that no-one's doing anything to check for accuracy.
Don't buy from spammers.
DO NOT ACCEPT FREE SURVEY: WARNING SCAM ALERT- HAMPTON LOVETT CONSULTANTS PREYS ON SMALL COMPANIES! This company is incredibly eager to hard sell you assurances of reduced business rates and separate you from your money push you into signing a contract with no intention of assisting you. We were even advised by the surveyor that it was a government incentive. Spoke to one of the customer service team today in regards to the contract being void and mis sold and was told my bailiffs would be sent to my premises if the full amount wasn't paid. After heading to the office in Covent Garden to speak to the director of the company, I was advised the address was just a letter corresponding address. We will make our voices heard through complaints to the financial ombudsman, trading standard, review websites and a quick trip to small claims court to recoup our losses as many others have done. A FACELESS COMPANY THAT WILL SHAKE YOU DOWN FOR EVER PENNY. - CHECK THE REVIEWS ON THE INTERNET AND MAKE A CLAIM AT SMALL CLAIMS COURT IF YOU'VE ALREADY BEEN SCAMMED.
It has taken a long time, drawn out becasue of coronavirus, but the team at HL have delivered a considerable saving for me and I pleased with the outcome.
Keep writing us to tell us that a business is eligible to claim for business rates overpayments, and they know this because of their 'review of our building'. The business they refer to in the letter has been closed for over a year and the building has been eligible for a 100% rates reduction forever. I am leaving this review because, if they have written to you in this way, I would be very careful about progressing with them. It is clearly a blanket letter send to any business they can find, having done no research whatsoever before sending it. And their address on the letter is Regus Office space in Covent Garden. I have just emailed them for a second time asking them to remove us from their database.
I have just experienced the same thing as Rena (please find it on the other reviews) had. I wish I had a chance to read this review before I have allowed them to do the so called "FREE assessment". Now I am facing a bailiff's unpleasant visit and a debt of over 2000. I contacted Hampton Lovett right after receiving the letter from DCBL which asked me to paid for the Administrative Fee for Non-Domestic Rates Review in March, but with no response from HL.
Today, the bailiff paid us a visit before we came to work. A letter sticked on the door to tell us to call them to discuss the matter, but giving no reason. I spent 10 minutes to find out what it is about. I then went on line to check the reviews on Hampton Lovett, and now I cannot tell how much I regret that I didn't do any research on this con company before I signed the FREE assessment paperwork.
I just want to tell anyone who is lucky enough to see this message: Please say no to them, avoid them and don't sign any paperwork, or otherwise you will be deeply regret!
Never use these people
Never use these people. A complete waste of time AND money. I hired them to help me get a discount on my business rates in 2018. Months after I hired them they came back to me saying they couldn't get me any discount. I paid them for their service as any honest person would do even though they didn't get me anything and thinking that that would be the end of it. I sold my business some months after that. Now, 2 years later, and they are still bombarding me with emails and calls asking me to pay them for a discount that the new business owners managed to get for themselves and had nothing to do with them. Regardless of how many times I reply to explain that I no longer own the business, and that they were already paid for their 'service', they don't want to leave me alone and are even threatening with bailiffs! Please Avoid the stress and wasting your time and money with these people
Senol, we are sorry that you feel the end result of the appeal is not to your satisfaction. However, the rateable value of your property was from £41,000 to £29,500 (a reduction of £11,500) as a result of the submission made to the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) by Hampton Lovett Consultant Surveyors.
Hampton Lovett were appointed as your agent, and all parts of the appeal process were handled by us, and a reduction of £11,500 would equate to a cash benefit in the region of £25,000. This is considerably more than the fees for the work we have provided you in good faith.
We have contacted the salon on multiple occassions and have been told that you are not in the country, but at no point has any member of staff made and suggestion that you are not associated with the business anymore. This situation is compounded by the fact that you have responded to correspondence sent to the business address.
You instucted us in July 2018, and the Challenge against your Business Rates was submitted on 15th November 2018. We appreciate that the VOA did not reach an outcome until much later than their published timeframe, but the fact remains that a reduction was acheived and we have delivered the service with a fantastic result.
We are deeply disappointed that you have left a review of this nature, when the outcome of your appeal was so positive and you appear to be attempting to use this platform as a means of avoiding your contractual obligations to us.
