I had problems with a seller on Gun Broker. After I sent the money he wanted to charge me $25 per day until he received all the information from the FFL I used. I had pruchased 3 other guns on Gun Broker using the same FFL and had no problems. I will NEVER use Gun Broker again. They have no customer service to address the seller's scam. I still haven't received the firearm and don't know if I will. Gun Broker hasn't done jack. The seller is from FL and I'm in MN so I guess I'm "F'd".

Very good auctions, mostly honest buyers and sellers. But, if you have a need for customer service, you are SCREWED. They must use 5-year-olds, because nothing makes sense, and they only answer occasionally. This "could be" the best gun site in America if they had CS people who had a clue at all about helping settle issues. They are useless, helpless, and evidently brainless

What a bunch of scam artists. Lying dogs! Started to fill out the self declared "FREE registration" only to find it's only free for gov't and corporate email. The other 90%+ of us using yahoo, gmail, etc... PAY FOR THE FREE SIGNUP? Maybe they shot themselves in the head and forgot the definition of free? They make no mention of why they should charge, or why they claim it's free fraudulently, and there's no way to contact them without an account. I've never heard of an auction site charging you just to register, and to lie about it... surely wouldn't trust them

If GunBroker.com had a decent customer service department it might be a good company, but it doesn’t. I wanted to bid on a Springfield M1A, so I registered. It was approved, and then it was disapproved. My contact information was “invalid.” I rechecked what I had entered and it was correct, so I sent a note to customer service asking for assistance. Nine hours later they replied that my contact information was “invalid.” With only three hours left for the auction I replied again that my info was correct and provided address and phone number. 24 hours later I sent another note. Three days later they replied that “General Delivery” was not a valid address. I notified customer service that “General Delivery” was the only mail service available for my area. There is no delivery to houses for thousands of people here and the wait list for PO Boxes is more than a year. My driver's license shows General Delivery, my credit cards are registered here, and my eBay and PayPal are registered here. Their next reply was that they can’t verify my address and Hawaii is not a gun friendly state. And if I can get a gun dealer to vouch for me and provide their license number, then GunBroker won’t report me to BATFE to investigate. All the other companies I deal with verified my address, including GunsAmerica, so I’m keeping my business there.

Everything is great until something goes wrong. Paid $830 bucks for an item and never received it. Gubroker.com customer service is non-existent. No phone number to call. The email customer service is a joke. It's been 30 days since my customer service request via email, no response. You're basically on your own in dealing with fraudulent sellers.

I have had great success on Gunbroker. I have successfully purchased 5 pistols and 1 rifle, along with numerous ammunition purchases. I've never been scammed or paid more than I wanted to. I think the negative reviews come from folks that fail to understand how the auction system works, do not do their research on the Sellers, or maybe a bit stupid about their bidding and get suckered into bidding too much. Hint: bid only with reputable sellers with many transaction (gunshops work best), ask questions before you bid, don't get suckered into a bidding war. Simply stop and look for another item. GB is place to bring buyers and sellers together. Folks expect too much and don't want to take individual responsibility... something in fashion these days.

I had very good success selling reloading items, their fees are certainly reasonable. The only problem I have is the buyers, as a general rule, they are slow to pay for their purchase. I am a done deal type person, when I buy something, I have the money and pay for it immediately. If I sell something, I don't appreciate a buyer dragging their heels to pay.

Terrible
April 14, 2013

Terrible. I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. The auctions are a joke. I think it's rigged and they don't allow you to win until it gets to a number they want. I won twice and they have a 15 minute rule. I think a win is a win. I won and they allowed 15 minutes for NEW person to join the bidding. I won again and they again tacked on 15 minutes. What a joke. There's no assurance that the other bidders aren't working for the seller either. Don't waste your time!

I initially registered with them and it said that my account was under review, but it did give me a basic level of access to set up my profile and that sort.

Said it would be reviewed in 24-48 hours.

After 48 hours I logged into the system and went to the Support/Isses section where I sent a trouble ticket stating that I had not been approved and the problem had not been addressed.

Some 6 more days later I have not been contacted yet and the item that I wamted to bid on is gone.

I think this site is a sham or a cover for big brother to document your puchases.

Beware of this site

Beware: I received an email from Gunbroker that stated they would cancel my account if I used a proxy server.
I responded back and asked them why. After a month I received another email stating they would cancel my account if I used a proxy server,, I asked them why again... Three months have passed
Now and no response. I do not use a proxy server at all.

I can conclude that Gunbroker.com is stealing information from my machine without my permission... history files, passwords, bookmarks etc.

If you are using Gunbroker.com be aware that they may be accessing you private info on your system for some unknown reason(s) without your permission.

One way to keep spies from hacking your system is to use a VPN service.

The site is a joke
January 29, 2013

The site is a joke. My account has been closed according to them at my request. This is a LIE! I never requested it closed. On top of that they have not replied to an email from over 3 weeks ago to reopen the account.

I contacted via email, customer support, as they requested but nothing. Nothing gets done. In my opinion the website has an opportunity to be a great thing but NO CHANCE of it under their current customer treatment.

WARNING WARNING!
January 10, 2013

WARNING WARNING! Stay away from this site! Will not back you up when you have been defrauded by criminal activity. They can't help but be aware of criminal activity -- check reviews -- it has been reported by many other besides me. They especially allow C&R holders to engage in the business of selling. 144 plus transactions just isn't collecting. Then the C&R rips you off. STAY AWAY!

Completed the procedure to register and verify. Everything seemed to work, except when I tried to bid. Then the system said I was suspicious and directed me to another page requesting more information. Why was I approved in the first place. Sent additional info and got the reply they would act in 24 to 48 hours. The Bid item I wanted was only open for 20 hours. Some Site

Ordered $100 item using my old GunBroker account. I had to update my old address to new address. Invoice said shipping to: correct address. Seller received old address, and I am now trying to retrieve an item 200 miles away from whoever lives at my old apartment.

Do not buy anything from GunBroker. This service is abysmally bad.

I have made over a dozen purchases and sells through gunbroker and have been satisfied. Granted there is little customer service, but look what you are paying. What I especially like is their search engine... much easier to use than those of other sites... they make guns from all over the US just a bid away.
Thanks GunBroker!

Before you do business with this company, either buying or selling, please do yourself a favor and do a search for them on complaints. You'll be astonished at the range of complaints against them. My own is about billing issues and fraudulent credit card charges. I urge anyone else who has had similar problems to file charges against them for credit card fraud.

Horrible site
April 10, 2012

Horrible site. After sending them all documenting evidence that I was being cheated, outright defrauded out of $200, they ignore me, then disable my account and remove my negative feedback against the offending vendor. There are too many other good auction sites with better prices. Gunauction.com, Auctionarms.com, GunsAmerica.com... just to name a few... to waste time with Gunbroker.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE
November 30, 2011

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I have a 100% feedback score from eBay after doing business with them for 10 years. In contrast, I found GunBroker.com to have the worst customer service. They pretty much ignore you and you can't call them, either. Plus, they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

Fantastic site!
August 3, 2011

Fantastic site! I've shopped on gunbroker for the past few years. This is a great site to get a good idea on what different types of firearms are going for. Also, they just don't sell guns they have alot of other interesting stuff as well, it's worth checking out.
