I booked a room for $74 but they added on $40 worth of fees after I submitted my credit info. It was not clear up front what the total was. When I called, they would not refund the room. Never again!
I contacted Hilton Honors and the Hampton Inn directly in Sweetwater,Tx. I did an online chat. I emailed. All I wanted to do was cancel a reservation due to a family emergency. They would not cancel and refund our money. So sad. We are a loyal customer. We booked it 5 months in advance and now cannot make it. They stated it was the way I booked it. I made a mistake and did not mean to book it with AAA discount or whatever they said I did. I am old and made a mistake. It would have been so simple for Hilton Honors/Hampton to cancel and refund however they chose not to. Basically spitting in the face of a loyal customer. Something so simple and they refused to refund our money. D. Pitts

Using Guest Reservations is like getting robbed on a street corner. They add undocumented fees. Impossible to add, change or cancel a reservation without incurring additional charges. Customer service statement "Guest Reservations customers enjoy exclusive deals and member rates, industry-leading customer support, and a wide selection of over 100,000+ hotels. Any issues with ordering can be resolved by their Customer Care team 24/7." is a total sham. Avoid this company at all costs! Lost $300 plus using this company to book hotel in Sioux Falls SD in October of 2013. See company responses to negative reviews.
Another thing to look at is their review stats. Half to 5 star ratings refer to the hotel or room not Guest Reservations services. And then there a a multitude of 5 star ratings with 5 words or fewer results. "Great", "Easy as 123", "Efficient", "Easy to use", all verified users! Stinks to high heaven!

I thought I was going into a beautiful hotel only to find mold and my ceiling having a hole in it. I opened my window to look out and it was all damaged. The continental breakfast they serve that a lot of hotels give for FREE, Hilton charges $17 for. I won't be back
This company is known for scamming people who don't read the fine print. If you book a hotel room and make any mistake and want to change the date, for example, even if your reservation was made 10 minutes ago, you will lose your money.

Tried to receive Ibis Schipol, The Netherlands from 6 to 7 October 2023. Site of Guest Reservations appeared as the original website (first scam). The price was about 80 Euros the one charged by the hotel (2nd scam). Asked for invoice in the name of company and did not get an answer (3rd scam). Never again!

We had a great experience due to Zenia being so welcoming & friendly!
The room was spacious & very comfortable
I booked a hotel room without realizing it couldn't be cancelled. Their website failed to mention that this room couldn't be cancelled but all other rooms on their web site could be cancelled so I assumed the same with this one. The next day I received a confirmation from them advising the room couldn't be cancelled. I have provided them with proof that their web pages didn't specify that this room couldn't be cancelled. I have called them 3 times and they don't care and won't issue a refund.

My experience was forgetting a toiletry bag that has been impossible to recover despite claiming it repeatedly. I missed a more sensitive customer service.
Hi Ramona, your satisfaction as a customer is of utmost importance to us, and we are committed to resolving the issue. Please contact our customer support team at [email protected] to help resolve your concern. Thank you.
Overcharged $100 for 1 nights stay for their fee. This was not easy to find. I didn't not even see the total until after my card was entered. Had I know thus, I would NOT have used this website. I will never be using this site again!
Hi Chelsea,
We're sorry your Guest Reservations experience didn't meet your expectations. We take customer satisfaction seriously and want to help every traveler have a great experience.
We understand you were surprised by the additional fees. Like most hotels and other travel agencies, we charge applicable tax recovery charges and a service fee to cover 24/7 support, service and platform features, and operating costs. We always disclose all fees and tax recovery charges prior to booking and require customers to confirm the total amount.

I booked a hotel with Guest Reservations, thinking I was on the official Holiday Inn Express site. It has similar logos, photos, etc. After entering my credit card information, I clicked the button labeled "complete registration" right below the card information and it immediately processed the payment. I expected a page that would allow me to actually complete the registration. According to their payment terms, the credit card will be charged after "submitting the reservation request ". I did not submit a reservation request, but was charged anyway. Instead, a $142 fee was added to the $278 hotel cost, for a total of $421. I called immediately and was told there are no refunds. After calming down, I called back and canceled the reservation. I've now been told that the reservation can't be reinstated and the $421 won't be refunded. I've paid $421 and get absolutely nothing. Not sure how this is legal. It's certainly dishonest. What kind of company takes $421 from a customer and provides absolutely nothing. This company is based in the Philippines and goes by guest reservations, get-a-room and Priceline. They said that the hotel will not refund the money. After talking directly to the hotel manager, they haven't been paid anything, so they can't refund a payment they haven't received. The actual hotel policy is to refund up to 24 hours from check in. This company lies, cheats, and steals. They intend to keep 100% of the $421 fee, not just the $142 in taxes. Do not use these crooks under any circumstances.

Very easy to mistake this site as original hotel homepage! Misleading! Listed room price is like bait: sounds reasonably attractive in local currency but card gets charged in US dollars, along with a surcharge.
Their offer reads as though free cancellation is ok, but turns out there is a cancellation fee afterall!
All this is listed in fine print somewhere in the straight forward Hotel-Homepage looking site. So they don't actually scam you, but they are very sneaky, and I got caught out. Now feeling very resentful, and will be sure to NEVER FALL FOR THIS AGAIN. Btw upon checking with the actual hotel, this booking with guest reservation went thru AGODA! I am just disgusted!

Todo muy rapido y sencillo, solo los precios son confusos, pues en la página decía una cosa y el cobro fue otro, pero todo excelente.
Tried to cancel a reservation 5 minutes after finding out they tacked on a $73.74 fee. Was told they could for $147.00. Heard a lot of laughing in the background. I'd like to think that this is just a one-time thing. My guess is it isn't--Beware if you use this service.

I made a hotel reservation at an advertised price of $102. I entered my credit card information and waited for something to give me a final tally of the total price including taxes etc. When making the reservation, there was never any indication of additional fees. I received an email giving me my final price of over $163. They also said there would be an additional resort fee of $28.80 collected on check-in. I immediately called Guest Reservations and asked for a refund. They said they could cancel my reservation but would not issue a refund. I called the hotel and there was nothing they could do about it. These people are not reputable. Next time I will deal directly with the facility rather than being suckered in by a deceptively low price.

I stayed there on Sunday 9/17. On the morning of 9/18, I went to the cafeteria for the "Free" breakfast.
There was an attendant there "Chris", Nice guy who did his best.
For starters, all junk horrible food, all processed foods, high sugar yogurt, no fresh fruit, no apples, no oranges, just a few old beat up bananas. Only boiled eggs.
I had coffee and there was no milk only coffee mate creamer.
You would think in Florida where oranges and grapefruits are plentiful and no expensive, there would be something better to choose from...
The room was clean and comfy, but perhaps change the advertisement to come and get food that will spike you blood sugar and give you diabetes...
Fresh fruit is not expensive.
Long story short...I was booking a two night stay at what I thought was $110/night with free cancelation, clicked on to accept the room, took me to payment page, entered credit card info, didn't see the entire total until I completed the checkout process.
Transaction completed, received confirmation and saw they charged me $603.31, I went in immediately to cancel, like within one minute and they only refunded me $177.47.
So, so deceptive. I have never reserved with a third-party company such as this in my life.
I'm still fighting this thru my bank as they do not want to budge even though I canceled within a minute of seeing the total.
I will always book direct with hotel from this day forward.

I booked a reservation on 9/6/23 on a "special" for a room advertised for $72.06 per night yet, I did not noticed a "recovery Fee" charge of an additional 60%, which they do tell you until after the credit card have been charged. Two minutes later when I realized I call them they blindly told me that there was nothing they can do. I Paid the price, and lost my money, but I did not used the room because by principle I will not support this type of rip-off. My ref #*******517, Conf# *******013
