About 3 weeks ago when I received a phone call at 1:45am from a very upset delivery man, who had an area code to a state at least 3 hours away from me, I dismissed it as a wrong #. Well since then I have received about 20 missed calls/angry voice mails from delivery people stating they are outside waiting with my food. Needless to say, they all have the same area code and all have the same issue. At first I thought someone literally didn't know their own phone # and had been giving mine, until this past weekend. I got a very angry phone call from a grubhub representative looking to speak to me in regards to my missed order and failure to answer the door. Ah ha I thought, here we go, someone has an account and has input my # by mistake, let me just call them and have them remove my number. WRONG. Grubhub refuses to access this persons account and remove MY phone number. They said the best they could do was call this person and ask them to remove my #. They promised the woman said she would edit it. Well she hasn't. Today, she has failed to answer the door for another pizza and I'm getting slack for it. Grubhub is still no help. They say they cannot deactivate her account and need HER permission to remove MY phone #! HELP!
No problems ordering. Food was hot when it arrived and it arrived within 30 minutes in Bellevue, WA. The food from Thai Grill was actually pretty good. Ordered some Thai comfort food and it was done well. Only thing missing was a soup spoon. Looks like I had good luck.
I hate grubhub it took three hours for our food to arrive and this has happened three other times i am tired of this.
Terrible terrible terrible. Took over 2 hours and they were still late. By then food was soggy and just aweful. Customer service tried to blame it on Google maps and us! Then they didn't even bring everything we ordered. Wish we would have read the reviews first. Even with the $10 coupon they gave us for next time I would still not use then.
The idea of grub hub is great but grub hub has terrible wait times and their customer service is not accommodating at all. In South Carolina we had a third party delivery service named 256-Togo and they were the same concept but much more organized and professional. Waiting two hours for food in tampa is ridiculous and grub hub barely offered a slack apology after I informed them I no longer wanted good I had to wait two hours for and would like a refund. She was quick to easily grant my refund request if the food could not arrive in the next few minutes but my husband was already late for work without food. Thanks for the waste of time lady!
I really want to encourage them to rectify these issues with their local restaurants and especially their customer service representatives for any/all future business.
Very awful service, they submitted my order 30 minutes after I ordered and informed me it would take an hour for the food to be delivered, I decided to call the restaurant and asked them how long it would take for my order to be delivered and they said 45-60 minutes from the time they got my order, in total it would have been 1.5 hours. If I called the restaurant directly they said I could pick up in 15-20 minutes and delivery in 30-45 minutes, which I could have saved myself the agony if I just did that in the first place.
I tried to talk to someone online and I was on hold for 30 minutes just for them to know how long my order would really take. This service does help anyone.
I used them to order food from a new nearby Ethiopian restaurant. It said order status processed. I waited an hour for a 35 min estimated delivery time, and tried calling the restaurant first to confirm the order was ready, but their voice mailbox was full. I then took 10 minutes driving time to go pick up my order. When I got there the staff was confused they never (apparently) received order, and even said one of the items I ordered wasn't even available (although it was on the Eat 24 menu). I went home, chatted with LiveChat, who were slow to respond and not very sympathetic and grudging about giving any credit for my troubles, aside from a snide "Oh my that's terrible." They cancelled my order and I received a note it would take 5 business days to refund my credit card. Blech experience all around.
We just used EAT24 delivery for the first time and I couldn't be happier with them. We are staying In a hotel in Houston and so this was a shot in the dark. The service was excellent and so was the food. It came hot and in 35 minutes, what more can you ask for. Hungry's Cafe and Bistro was who we ordered from and it was the beat delivered food we've ever had. I can't wIt to actually go there to eat. We will be here for a week and we will use EAT24 again for sure, I just hope we have them at home.

Grub Hub advised me a few days ago that my account had been blocked because of suspected consumer fraud. I called their customer service and the representative would not tell me why they believe I was the victim of fraud. She said she would have someone who could explain the situation call me. No one did. I followed up four days later with another rep and two managers. They told me to email their legal department to find out what happened. I did and have gotten no response. So I'm sitting here panicked about whether someone has my bank account or credit card information with no idea how to get Grub Hub to disclose whatever breach they believe occurred. I will never use this site again.
I placed an order at a restaurant and had the order cancelled because the restaurant had no delivery driver that day... okay. Grubhub gave me a $5 credit for a future order, which I placed immediately since, you know, I was hungry. After placing my second order, at a different restaurant, I received a call directly from the restaurant saying they were "out" of one of the main items in my order. This is ridiculous. Maybe it's not GrubHub's fault for these two events, but being the company providing the ordering service, their website should have something in place to prevent circumstances like this from ever happening, especially with two orders placed back-to-back, on the same day.
HORRIBLE... just another story of incompetence and inability to deliver on any level. I got a confirmation of my order and after 1 hour and 45 minutes I call the restaurant to find out that somehow their fax is broken so the order never came in? I call customer service who says it's in now and will be here in 40 minutes... i said i wont pay for it and they say the restaurant wont deliver for free... duh... THEY should cover it for failing to deliver (literally). I was offered a credit to use next time instead. Like that would EVER HAPPEN>
I googled delivery places and this popped up. I decided to check them out, they didn't list that many places for my area, but I checked out a chinese place I hadn't tried before. I selected items, and went to check out. I didn't even have to grab my credit card information because they take paypal, so the ordering process took about 3 minutes, most of that time I was deciding what to order. Oh, and they even had a tip calculator to add onto the total without having to figure it up. I just clicked the percentage and it was added on :) Simple and fast. The estimated time was about an hour, but it was only 30 minutes before my doorbell rang. Super happy with grub hub. The chinese food was very good
If I could give a negative star review, I would. I've tried using Eat24 twice and both times I NEVER got my food. I thought I'd give them a second chance because the first time had a lot to do with the restaurant being delayed, not Eat24. However, after a second occurrence of waiting 2 hours for a delivery that was estimated to take only 45-60 minutes, I had to write this review.
Rather than Eat24 contacting me to be proactive and let me know there was an issue, I had to call them multiple times when they kept missing the deadline for when the food was to be delivered. I called the restaurant directly after not being able to get a straight answer from Eat24 on why the order was taking so long. The restaurant informed me that they had issues with receiving orders from Eat24 and that they did not actually receive my order from Eat24 until ONE HOUR after I had placed the initial order. Absolutely ridiculous.
While Eat24 agreed to cancel my order and refund my money, they did not offer any credit and barely apologized for the delay. Will never use this site to order food again.
I'm only giving one star because I can't give zero! Yes I know this might have been a bank issue but was very frustrating customer service experience! I ordered and checked my bank account and the money was taken out! I was given an estimated time of an hour and 5 mins... no big deal since it's New York and football sunday I expected that! But after two hours and no food I called the restaurant and they claimed to have never gotten my order... but the money was taken out of my account. So I called grubhub to find out what was going on... and what I got was a very rude man on the other end! I checked my bank account well on the phone and it looks like they had put the money back in my account he then told me I must have a bank credit card! Excuse me! DO NOT ASSUME things! This took me over the edge! I went to the ATM and was able to take cash out no problem! Grubhub you suck!
This service seems a bit pointless... I'm not sure why I need to use this app for delivery when it only lists the place's I already know deliver (Chinese and pizza) then charges me extra to contact the restaurant and make an order I could easily do. Waiter on the way is much better.
Ordered pizza from a local restaurant an hour and half ago and got a call just 5 min. Ago that they don't have a delivery guy and I can choose between picking it up or canceling the order. Seriously it takes you an hour and a half to find out that the place doesnot offer delivery.
After the estimated 1.5 hour wait for our food I called to see what the delay was. Grubhub claimed the retaraunt was closed and they would refund us plus give us a15$ credit. This of course was after speaking with an extremely rude customer service rep. The next day we ordered the same thing to come to the exact same scenaro, but this to me a 5$ credit. After this I called the restaurant to find that they were open both days. Called grubhub back to a customer service rep telling me "no one here would lie about that and risk their job". Lazy rude pieces of $#*!.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT order anything from these folks. The food never shows and you have no one to call to complain to! They are the worse!
Really should have read the reviews because I would not have ordered but I did... food took 2 hours to get to me then they didn't have my drinks but he was going to take my money to get some... opened order while he was gone and nothing was right and it was cold. Called then up and they said I would get a refund but when the driver came back he could only give me what I have him minus the $4.00 he spent on two cokes... never again. Now we are hungry and grumpy with two cokes... lovely.
I love love LOVE this site. Whether I'm at home on break in D. C. or living it up in the Dorm at MSU in East Lansing GrubHub has always got my back when it comes to food.
Staff is always helpful, like today I ordered from a local BBQ franchise and when it was delivered I realized that one of my food items was missing! I called the restaurant (in which they were very apologetic) and told me to call GrubHub staff which I did and they were so friendly and apologetic as well (Thanks Teresa!). I was able to get a refund on the item and staff texted me to just make just I knew that I did in fact get my refund!
I was very pleased that they handled everything so nicely. There is a reason I only use GrubHub for my delivery of snackage :)
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
