I LOST 188 DOLLARS TO A FRAUDULENT CHARGE. LOST ACCESS TO THE ACCOUNT. THEY ARE ABLE TO DO NOTHING ABOUT THIS. WAS TOLD THERE FRAUD DEPARTMENT WOULD CONTACT ME AND IT NEVER HAPPENED. I CALLED FOR WEEKS WITH NOBODY KNOWING ANYTHING AND COULDNT DO SQUAT. THERE WERE ABLE TO TAKE OUT THE CREDIT CARD THAT WAS USED BUT COULDNT TAKE OUT THE REST OF THE CARDS I HAD ON FILE! INSIDE JOB. $#*! GRUBHUB.
Delivery times are completely wrong and there is no real time tracking. Order from Postmates and save yourself the headache!
Figured the first try was a fluke when our food arrived cold and pasty (three hours scheduled) so seven months later we gave it another try - worse result. An hour delivery time turned into 2 with us calling at 2 to find out what happened - only to be told "we are making it now". Another hour - nothing. We've eaten toast and refused the food/charge.
I don't usually write negative reviews, but GrubHub is a deserving exception. Dismal waiting times, cold food, restaurants that react with apathy and sometimes even rudeness when you call for status, and waaaaay too expen $$ive for the level of service they offer. Call tje restaurant dierctly and Get your food for pickup. If they only offer delivery through this sute, Run! And call another restaurant.
My food arrived 5 minutes after it said it would. Its was hot and tasted wonderful
We decided to use GrubHub for an order from a restaurant that we frequent. 30 min after we placed the order, the owner of the restaurant called us to tell us our order was ready and the driver was still 45 minutes out! If you are ordering from them, the reason your food doesn't taste as good isn't the restaurants fault... it's GrubHub. They are terrible.
The absolute worst, impolite, insulting unintelligent, untrained and totally unacceptable customer service I have ever encountered in my entire life. I was hung up on five times in one day trying to make a complaint about a place I had ordered faithfully from for three months, but for some reason, the owner went nuts and told me " find another place to order from".
He did this intentionally because in the 3 months of ordering the same thing for breakfast, the eggs easy over were hard as a rock. Otherwise the food was fantastic. I found his behaviour to be so highly insulting to a loyal customer- I couldn't believe it. Then I called my lawyer, and the restaurant just stopped answering all phone calls.
When I callled Grubhub customer service, I was hung up on at least five times. My lawyer had the same experience. I will be crossing them off my list. This is not the way you treat longstanding customers who tip well the delevery people!
They suck don't use them waited an hour then I called for them to tell me the food was set for pick up so I ask the lady if I can get it for delivery she says she will set that up hour later I check again to find out the lady never did $#*! two hours and still no food $#*! grubhub ruined my dinner and it's always $#*!ing cold food even if I order hot soup!
Called at 2pm, ordered a sandwhich, fries and shake from portillos. I'm typing this right now as I'm about to leave work at 4:30, still with no food. Every time I called they said they were 5 mins away, when I tracked the order online it just said it should have been there by now. I literally waited over 2 hours for food that never came and was already paid for. Called to get a refund and was put on hold for 20 minutes. I will absolutely never be using them every again, if I want it that bad I'll either go get it myself or order from the restaurant directly. Worst delivery experience to date that I've ever had
They have the worst customer service ever the driver was in front of my house then realized or saw another address on the order and we spoke twice about my address and he was a front of the house with the food and then drove off call this customer service to refund my money then made me wait 2 hours to get my food and I still didn't even get it because he decided that he might be at the wrong address even though we talked twice so I called him after 30 minutes extra of waiting for it like two and a half hours now and I was like where are you musical I left because I realized I might be at the wrong address I was like but we spoke twice about my address and then his ago I don't know what I can do for you and then when I called GrubHub they made me wait like 30 40 minutes on the line before I got to speak to someone I will never ever ever use them again it's ridiculous
It took over an hour for my food to hit the road and an extra hour to get to me! By time I got the food it was cold and I wasn't even hungry anymore. The place is a 10 minute drive away, this was just too much. I wasted my time and money!
As many people have said, I had to call the restaurant (about 10 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered) and they informed me they never got the full order or my contact details to tell me they did not get it.
Contacted GrubHub, was told I would be refunded (we'll see) and was sent a coupon - which I have yet to receive.
The benefit does not outweight he risk.
My food order took nearly 2 hours to be delivered. After an hour I called the restaurant, and they said my order had been ready for a while, and were just waiting on the delivery person.
I called grubhub to see if I should just pick it up myself, and she contacted the driver who said he was 10 minutes away. After waiting for 30 minutes I called grubhub who said it would only be 5 more minutes. 10 minutes later the driver showed up with the wrong order. When I did finally get my order, it had been sitting out for an hour, and was inedible.
I then spent 20 minutes on hold with grubhub customer service, and then another 10 minutes on hold before being told they would not refund my order. Very dissapointed with grubhub!
Placed my first order at 2:45 for estimated delivery between 3:30 and 3:45... at 4:30 they are still not here. I called the restaurant and they did not even have the order. Terrible service. I will stick with Mobile Meals
I ordered food and drinks from Eat24 and the delivery was incomplete. I asked to have missing items delivered. They said they would and after contacting them 4 times over 6 hours, they never arrived. I asked for refund of delivery fee and service fees and since the third party would not refund them, Eat24 said there is nothing they can do. They need a new system. If we order through them, they should be able to rectify the situation. Dine on Demand is the third party delivery, so I would steer clear of them, as well. I paid service fees and deliver fees of $12 for services that were not fulfilled. They offered no discount on order. All they had to do was refund the fees and I would have been fine, even without the missing items and they wouldn't do it. Don't use them!
I work for a pizza chain, and, in my experience, find grub hub employees to be the rudest people ever. I hate dealing with them. They are apparently sent out before the restaurants can confirm their orders, and they are quick to find fault with restaurant employees even though it is not our fault. I have even seen them pick fights with my coworkers. They seem to think that they are more important than our other customers and are impatient even at a 5 minute delay. They should do us, and their customers, a favor and let our own delivery drivers deliver their orders. $#*!ty customer service, too. I ordered from them once, and I never got my food. Never got an email or a phone call explaining why. Eat24 is much better, both for customers and for restaurants.
Fist time, several items I ordered were not available so they delivered 20%of the order, but retained the tip on the complete amount and were 1 hr late. This time, they are now 30 minutes late and the restaurant said that the order was never actually placed. Now working with the restaurant directly who actually have their own service.
Ordered pizza through yelp with eat 24, should have checked the reviews. Terrible service, over half an hour past the (slow) delivery time, still no pizza. No respond from company. Not using them again, ever.
The restaurant blames you, you blame the restaurant. GrubHub never take the fault. If GrubHub hire the drivers, and their driver doesn't do his job... it's GrubHub's fault. I'm sick of it.
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.
Answer: LOL... no kidding right! How can places take 2 hours to get food to you and not necessarily at a peak time. Good luck! Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: Answer: Grub Hub does suck big time. No real answer. If you like cold food, delivered late and an "oh well" customer service attitude, Grub Hub is the company you should use.
Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
