Received an order with a dead bug in it. Their fault? No, of course not.
But when I called to complaint and get them to bring a new order, I was
Told the restaurant was closed (it didn't close for another 45
Minutes). And, when I demanded a refund, at first they only offered a
Refund of the one item that had the dead bug, not the others (all were
Salads made with the same lettuce). After reading them the riot act and
Them trying to say it was up to the restaurant, they finally agreed to a
Full refund... which I have yet to see as they say even though it only
Takes them 5 seconds to charge my card, it takes 5 days to get a refund
Since that's the rules of my "financial institution" (for the record,
American Express will show a pending refund the second it is processed
To the card).
What a great service this was when it was LA Bite, what a downhill spiral into mediocrity since Grubhub took over. See ya, Grubhub!
Thought I'd read some reviews while I waited for my painfully overdue delivery. Appears I too have been robbed by GrubHub in Atlanta. Amazing how far VC money and a TV ad budget can take some criminal, wanna be, entrepreneurs. I guess Amazon will have to take over this service too.
Don't know how the service is throughout the country but in the metro Atlanta area, Grubhub is the absolute worse delivery company I have ever used. I have tried them twice now. The first time I never received my food. The second time, its been a little over 2 hours for a 30-45 minute delivery and now they are going to cancel because there is not a driver available... do not waste your time or money trying to get grubhub to deliver anything to you!
Great price considering places we ordered for didnt deliver, but grubhub did. Super convenient when have kids and unable to drive at moment
I tried to place an order using GrubHub and the order was blocked but $123 was taken out of my account. I contacted grubhub the next day to correct the issue and they told me I would have results in the next 48-72 hours but it has been over a week and a half since the incident and nothing has been resolved. No refund, just $10 off my next order like that makes up for $123 being taken out of my account. The $10 off means nothing because why would they think I would use this service again after all this confusion and frustration? Grubhub playing with my money, literally unacceptable.
They are way over priced for delivering food. They take forever to deliver your food. My order wasn't even right when i spent $10 to get it delivered.
They just cancel my order leaving me 1/2 hour later with nothing. The Grubhub Customer service agent I talked to said the restaurant never got my order. Their own order tracker disagrees as it said it was being worked on, how do you work on and order you never got? Even if they didn't ever get it wouldn't the intelligent thing to do be to simply resend it? That way maybe the customer won't completely swear off ever using Grubhub again?

Absolutely terrible service not once, but TWICE. First time they never deliver my food until four hours later. The driver arrives right before I'm about to go to bed and says "Sorry I got stuck behind a train." Yet grubhub could not get a hold of said individual when I had called after an hour and a half wait. The food was cold, and they were going to give me a refund. At the last minute, the guy on the phone asks if they can do a gift card instead. I say fine why not. They don't tell you it expires in 30 days. Skip to 5 months later, I finally decide to give them another shot. I go to use the code and it's expired. I'm on the phone for nearly 40 minutes until they finally figure out what is going on (they apparently have no records of it, even though I have email correspondence from grubhub to prove everything). They say they will issue another code, I say okay. Skip another hour, still no code. I call again and then after another 20 minute wait they say that they can't send me a code at all and that there is nothing they can do about it. I was very cordial and polite up until I wasted all that time and could've just been eating with doordash instead. Going to make sure I never use grubhub again and call me petty but I'm not afraid to tell the dozens of customers I have daily about the experience. All over $20 that they apparently need (probably because they lose so many customers).
The order never got delivered. When I called customer service they mentioned that the driver was waiting for 12 mins outside. Why would he not ring the door bell or call? They charged my credit card and refused to refund the charge. Probably the driver just sat outside and ate my pizza.
The customer service representative was very rude and was of zero help. When I asked them to be transferred to their supervisor he transferred me to an automated system to provide my feedback on "On a scale of 1-5, how likely i would order again on grub hub?" Worst service!
Never got the pizza and my card was also charged.
I signed up, placed my order to be ready on my lunch hour and received an email saying my order was cancelled without a reason 45 minutes after placing the order. I contacted live chat who told me the order was cancelled because the restaurant's volume was too high, then support emailed to tell me the order was cancelled because the restaurant was closed for renovations. When I asked which one of them was telling the lie, I received no response at all. After waiting 24 hours, I sent another reply letting them know if they still wanted my business they would need to reply. Still nothing. Don't waste your time and money when there are plenty of other options to use. Go with Uber Eats - you can tip AFTER receiving your order.
Worst delivery service ever. It looks like this company is in business to take people's money without having to do anything or actually offering any services. After waiting for 45 minutes by my front door for delivery my order was marked as delivered although it never was. After speaking with GrubHub customer service the only option afforded me was to receive a refund although I told them I'd rather have the food I paid and waited for. I had no choice but to cancel my order, they refused to reorder or redeliver. Called a little later to verify refund because I received no email or anything to confirm. Was told by second associate "Don't worry, it will be refunded." No mention of a receipt being sent or any other confirmation. It's been 2 weeks now, still no refund.
I recently had surgery, and my husband works nights, so I decided to order from Grubhub one evening last week. From placing my order to delivery, it only took about forty minutes, and this was with a busy, non-fast food restaurant. My driver was very friendly and kept our food hot in his warming bag. He had also grabbed extras like utensils and napkins, which I appreciated. I asked him to text or call when he arrived and I would meet him in the driveway, as we have dogs that go nuts when we have visitors, and he remembered to do that, as well. I will absolutely order with Grubhub again!
I would also like to add, after reading through many of the negative reviews, that I was curious why so many people had orders canceled or had to wait so long for them, so I did a Reddit search. What I found is that if people don't tip their drivers, they are likely to get their order passed on over and over again, until some driver finally accepts it (late orders) or no driver will (canceled order). Apparently, drivers can see how much you tip them in the app when they go to accept or reject an order, so if the payout isn't large enough or there's no tip, you may not get your food. If you plan to tip in cash upon delivery, say so in the notes. I wonder how many of these one star reviews didn't tip? Other things that will help you get your food: porch lights, clear house numbers, directions if you live in an apartment complex. It's amazing, all the simple things customers can do to help themselves.
So after ordering my food and going back and forth with customer reps, I was finally informed that Grub Hub doesn't actually deliver. They only order the food on your behalf after you order it through them.
Step 1: You order through Grub Hub.
Step 2: Grub Hub orders food through the restaurant.
Step 3: You stare at a useless app to find out when your food will eventually be cooked. But it's not actually very accurate, so... It's anyone's guess when and if your food will ever be ready.
Step 4: After chatting with customer reps for over a hour, you're eventually told that your food will not be delivered because you are supposed to pick it up yourself. (Apparently there's a very tiny descriptions somewhere on the site that I couldn't find.)
Step 5: You work a job where you can't actually just get up and leave when you want (and if I could I would just sit down and eat the freaking food in the restaurant), so you don't get to eat.

Except for the part where I'm trying to figure out why I can't just call the restaurant on my own to order the food through them instead of messing around with Grub Hub! I will NEVER order through Grub Hub ever again, and I highly recommend that no one else does either.
BUT WAIT! It gets even better. Even though it literally took seconds to accept my money, I get to wait 7-10 days to get MY money back!

I recently ordered food through Eat24's platform and after having food delivered, I realized I forgot to add a tip for the driver. I tried adding it through the app, but unfortunately they don't allow you to once the order is completed (NOTE: other platforms such as UberEats). I really wanted to add a tip so I contacted support and asked if it was possible to add a tip since the app didn't allow me but instead they refunded me for the entire order for the wrong reason "Customer didn't receive order". I found this very deceptive and unethical because that was NOT my issue and the poor delivery guy might've not received money for his delivery, which was almost a 20 min drive. I'm shocked that their customer support team is negligent and can't even handle a simple issue like this with care. They should really consider beefing up their support team because they lost a customer.
GrubHub never responds to emails- what a $#*!ty company, online many people who are trying to be drivers for GrubHub never get their emails answered, not once! And there's so many people who order food from GrubHub who never get their food but yet their credit cards are charged. So I wonder how they get their money back? I bet they don't? This is the worst company I have ever heard of for drivers. Do not drive for them, don't waste your time filling out an application for GrubHub and especially do not order Order any food from GrubHub
Wow! Where do I even start with this one. I have attempted to order from Grubhub twice now. Each time I order they call and cancel my order. First time it took almost an hour for them to cancel. Each time giving me an excuse the restaurant is to busy or closed. Each time this has happened my money is tied up for days. Oh and don't bother trying to talk to customer service! It's a complete joke! They are like mindless robots with no emotions & give the impression that they could careless about you or your experience with the company. I could hardly even understand what "Richard" was saying because he could hardly speak English. Oh but he did give me a $10 promo code for my next order! Lol This is a complete joke because I never, NEVER plan on ordering from this company again. Thanks RICHARD!
My friend had to get a refund because the driver took too long and it was past our Job Corps center's curfew (note: we ordered at 8:23). It's not like the Taco Bell we were trying to get food from was in Clearwater! Noooo! It was on 5th Ave North! We're on 22nd St South! It was literally an L route and they still took forever! Now I'm going to bed HANGRY! I've even thought of using GrubHub in the future, but tonight convinced me that I never should! Thanks GrubHub, for such a "GREAT SERVICE"!
Grubhub has honestly been the worst delivery company I have ever dealt with. The customer service representatives are absolutely useless and just throw people 5$ coupons and order vouchers for each time they screw something up. ABSOLUTELY INEXCUSABLE for a restaurant to be 2 minutes down the road and a driver to say that they will take ANOTHER 20 minutes after being an hour and a half late. This happened to my fiancé and I all weekend long from multiple places, one driver even LIED and told the company he attempted to deliver our order at 1:45 in the morning when that was NOT the case. Spent a total of about 2 hours with customer service reps who barely speak English and do not have the ability to give a straight answer or explanation. At the end of everything he told us that he would be sending us an email voucher to cover the full price of our next meal, and when we checked the email it was a 20% off coupon that expires the next day.
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
Answer: Both. But he is not alone, unfortunately. He only got exposed. Millions others are working in politically intolerant places. We have to change that.
Answer: Yes, it is normal. Original delivery times are almost never met. No drivers, Lost Drivers, Poorly trained or untrained drivers.

Hope you were able to cancel it, but wonder if it showed up in the mean time. For this reason I no longer use a card but pay cash when I get the food. Hope you've managed to eat something by now.

Answer: They just don't care. Company motto must be "customer comes last". They simply trying to salvage whatever market share they can before they get bought out by a superior service that actually cares about customers.
Answer: Nothing. By this inaction I would say to quit using this bad business. Go with UberEats or maybe try getting your own food.
