I would give 0 star if I could. I bought tickets for a concert for me and my wife with 3 months in advance, which I had to wait for an email to let me know when I could redeem the tickets. Never received the email, and when I called a month before the concert they told me everything was fine but I had to wait until 15 days before the concert to redeem the ticket. Called again 15 days before and they told me my tickets were canceled by the system, they didn't even know why it happened. I've been waiting for 3 months to go to this concert, and now I don't have a ticket, and when I try to buy from another retailer the price is insane, and there is no more seats for me and my wife to seat together. So desapointed.
For me Groupon sucks. There are no deals for chain businesses. Only deals for independent business. That sucks because I really like many of the chain businesses in the USA. I would like to get deals through Groupon. But I can't. I won't use Groupon until they have deals for chain businesses. I use Retail Me Not right now because they have deals for chain businesses.
I had previously used Groupon and it worked fine. Recently I purchased a local deal on eye exam and glasses for $89, but when I tried to redeem it a time the optometry they told me the code isn't working. We tried several times and still it didn't work. So I ended up having to pay for the eye exam with my insurance and not get glasses. I emailed Groupon later to look into the issue, but they were not helpful at all. They told me a refund is not possible for a purchase after 3 days, and credit for Groupon cannot be offered either. Their system had a glitch that cause my Groupon not being redeemable at the time, that isn't my fault. I am not just trying to return this Groupon for no reason other than no wanting to use it, I and only asking for a refund or credit only because the code was flawed and I couldn't use it when I needed it like I wanted to. I can never trust Groupon and purchase with them again, because who knows when my Groupon would not be redeemable. I am not going to waste more money to test my luck. Use Groupon with caution.
I bought an item on Groupon on Dec. 2nd, checked status for delivery and saw that it still had not shipped. So I sent email inquiring about when item might ship. Today I get an email from them telling me they cancelled my order... I didn't ask them to cancel my order. I called CS@ Groupon and was told they did me a favor my cancelling my order. If I still want the item I can re-purchase... guess what item in color I wanted is no longer available... seriously. Customer Service and including a supervisor provided no assistance in resolving the matter and just kept telling me they were sorry. UNACCEPTABLE!
Groupon shows pictures of a Chromebook running Windows 8 or 10. Chromebooks run on Google's Chrome operating system, which does not run Windows apps and is mostly web browser based. I've pointed this out to Groupon multiple times now, but they apparently won't fix it. So, I left a low rating on the product page, which they rejected. And now, their "Contact Us" page has no way to contact them.
In early Nov I purchased a voucher for a fresh cut Christmas tree from a firm called Five Star Farms in Utah. The voucher stated tree must be ordered by first week of Dec. I ordered tree on 11/24 expecting delivery as promised 7-10 days later. I received an order confirmation from the vendor. Tree never came. The vendor shuts off their phone in late Nov and everything must go thru their support site. After asking for a week to get a Fedex tracking number they supplied me with one that did nothing. Fedex reported the label was created but nothing ever delivered to them for delivery. The vendor lied to me each and every day for a solid week. Upon notifying
Groupon I got a response that was obviously canned in that it was obvious they never read my complaint and quite frankly couldn't care less. I've been a long time user of Groupon but will never use it again... it simply isn't worth it to me for all the headaches involved.
Used Groupon in August for parking in Seattle. Was great and happy with the experience. In October I saw a charge on my debit card from Groupon. I called and was told that my account was expired. I told them they charged me on my debit card... the representative checked and told me there was a charge for the same amount on the same day but not to my account. He told me to call my bank. My bank put us on a 3 way call and that took over 2 hours for Groupon to figure it out. They had merged my account with someone's account in Chicago (I'm in Washington state) and put my bank card on his account. Can't believe they would be so irresponsible to give my financial info to another customer. They were rude on the phone to my bank rep until they figured out what happened. My bank has reimbursed me for the charges. No apology... nothing. I recommend that anyone with a Groupon account cancels as they are obviously careless with your info. I did ask them for the contact info for the person I'm paying for and they refused... until I mentioned an attorney. I am contacting him and will update this. By the way I have never done a review before this.
I purchased to products 3 days apart. Same exact product, same exact merchant. It has been over 3 weeks since the products have been purchased. One of the products just arrived last night at the FedEx location for shipping. And that was the one i ordered 3 days later. I have contacted Customer Support 3 separate times. All three times i get an apology but no help with making things right. All i ask is that they ship the product to me. They wont contact the Merchant to have them send it. They wont give me the contact information to the Merchant in order to contact them myself. When i ask for someone who can actually do something about it, i am told that there is no one there who can. Groupon is a load of $#*! when it comes to actual product. If you aren't purchasing something that gives you an immediate code to redeem, don't use Groupon! There are other avenues of getting deals. Groupon does not care about their customer's satisfaction. Thank you, Groupon for being the zit on the $#*! of life.
Paid and pruchased in full, however they sent me a dead Link and the customer service couldnt help a bit. I hate this company now. My girlfriend went to all the trouble of sending me a suprise while she was abroad and it turned into a huge debacle of struggling with the slowest customer service employees in the world.
I bought a oil change for Midas, though I can't use it in Manchester NH, wish that would of been more visible that Nh Midas doesn't accept coupons, otherwise I wouldn't of bought it, awesome job Groupon now you won't give me a refund, because of some time crap of your policy. Wow it's only been like a week, really? As far as I'm concerned you stole 15.00... not cool!
I was unable to make it to my reservation for my hotel. This is after I had called them and told them I would be unable to make it due to a family emergency. When I asked to change the date or refund they gave me the run around and did not have any sympathy towards my situation or a way to move forward for the both of us. I'm very disappointed with their service and will not use their site ever again. I have been a loyal customer for over a year now and I'm really upset that they haven't shown any resolve. They told me they would refer this to the supervisor and still haven't resolved the issue. Not happy at alll!

Do not purchase home services from them. I purchased home service's from groupon, set up anow appointment with the contractor. On the day for them to do the work, the never called or showed up. They also didn't answer there phone. When I reached out to groupon customers services. They said it was nothing they can do about it.No compensation, no refund and no exchange. Please save your money. I'm so disappointed.
Purchased a gift on groupon. 5 days later went in to redeem the voucher. The link provided to purchase did not work. Called customer service 3 times in a row. The first two times, after a long wait and speaking with reps, they cut me off before a resolution was reached. The third time the rep did not cut me off and could not refund my money as it was longer than 3 days. The link still did not work. I asked for a supervisor and the link was not fixed and I still did not get a refund. This took 2 1/2 hours total. They stood firm on the 3 day return policy and offered me a $5 credit on my next purchase. Told them to keep the $5 and I would discontinue using groupon. And the link? Still doesn't work.
I ordered a product, paid for it through Paypal. Received confirmation from Paypal, received confirmation of order from Groupon. 15 minutes later, Groupon send me an email, stating they have cancelled the order and has refunded the money. Why? That's all I wanted to know.
The agent told me to call and ask the bank. I told her I used paypal, she said I must of used a credit card. No, I didn't. She refused to even look. Then she disconnected our chat. I tried again, the next agent said it was a refusal from the credit card company and I should call them.
If paypal refused to pay them, it would have failed from the beginning, there would have been no need for a refund. All I wanted was an explanation, an honest explanation. Don't blame it on someone else. If you can't be honest with people, you shouldn't be in business.
To add to this, a Groupon rep closed my account.
This is a simple issue, I'd hate to see what would happen if someone ordered something expensive.
I have used groupon for many things and products and services are always as promised. Best discount website.
It was ok ordering from them, BUT... i placed my order with a gift card and they insisted on me giving credit card info--or i couldnt order from. That really upset me especially when my item came well under my gift card balance. I will not order from them again because of it. The bracelet i ordered came fine and in good time--I just don't like the fact they force u to give them your credit card info. I think its wrong.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
