Groupon provides poor services especially when it comes to giving refunds. I purchased a groupon worth $180 and was unable to print the voucher or contact the business owner. Groupon takes no responsibility on what they post on their website and end up eating up our money. This is the second time I have had issues with groupon. I will not be using their services again!
It appears the only good coupons offered are only available in the States. Canadian ones are maybe 50 cents off
I bought a deal on Groupon and have been expressing my concern on the experience I had with them, so that it does not occur to other who buy the deal. NO one from customer support bothers reaching out to me despite my repeated messages. I later tried calling them and explaining all the hassles that I went through. The representative said that the matter will be escalated and I will hear back. Its been 4 days and no one has bothered getting back on the issue. I have emails, screenshots as PROOF.
I ordered some headphones on Groupon. They we're charged on my credit card so I assume the order went through. After 4 days, didn't received any shipping confirmation email so I email their customer service. They told me they never received my order. Each time I received an email, it was from a different person. It's very confusing. They asked me lots of question about the product, my account, etc. Never they asked me if I would prefer tonne reimbursed. I will never purchase from them again!
I purchased a luggage set using a coupon, left the country on a 3 week trip, and when i returned the item was not here. Called Groupon and they said Paypal never authorized the payment. Called Paypal and they said Groupon cancelled the order. I called Groupon again and spoke with someone different and he told me their "system" cancelled the order. He could not give me a reason why. I was never sent an email telling me it was cancelled and for what reason. I told the gentleman i was never ordering anything else from them and would write a bad review... Who's running this company? BUYER BEWARE!
This is poor service on the merchant part, they haven't created any contact. This item is rated a 1 because it doesn't work at all and it's suppose to be solar friendly. I still haven't received a refund either.

Wife bought tickets for our kids spring break trip to San Diego attractions (coupons was supposed to be good on any parks in San Diego area) we went to Seaworld and imagined our surprised that the ticket was not good. We were told that we should have bought the 3 days trip instead of the 2 days which were not specified in groupons ads. In short, we never used the ticket, and I had to pay cash since we drove from Washington state and we don't want to waste the trip. It's all ok, maybe the wife didn't read the "fine" print but the PROBLEM lies with the refund, it's been 2 weeks and my wife hasn't gotten any refund. We'll never used Groupon again!
The majority of items for sale sale on Groupon are brand new, and well worth every penny, as I have seen many of these same items going for a lot more on other sites, or even stores. I have used groupon for about 2 years now. As long as you read the description fully, as some items, such as smart phones, are remanufactured, or refurbished. But, they fully stand behind every purchase with a money back guarantee, which I had to use once with no issue. So, I decided to try getting a Galaxy S5, as their cost, with a new battery, and samsung charger/USBcord, was less than my deductable to have my old phone's camera repaired. I have had no problem with that phone whatsoever, and I now use my old one with no Sim card as a Wifi, game or Ipod type device.
I purchase from Groupon twice recently and it was as if I did not get a deal at all. The shipping a lone cost so much that it was not even worth purchasing a Groupon. Also, you have to read the fine print before you purchase from Groupon. They will rip you off so be careful.
They showed me a nice style of flatware. I ordered 3 sets. They sent me a different style that I do not like but they will not exchange or refund not to mention that the quality of the flatware is far lower than my expecations.
Purchased a restaurant voucher for Valentines Day and turned out the restaurant was out of business. There went my valentines day dinner.
Later purchased a wine deal with Heartwood & Oak via Groupon, order not fulfilled properly and each shifts the blame on the other.
Once again out of money with no recourse.
I had used Groupon before, 2-3 times and that was fine. This time, with a different business, I am having a really hard time redeeming my Groupon because the business is not responding to me. I ask for help, and the customer support team has been trying to reach out to the business since 2 weeks ago. Because they also couldn't help me use the Groupon, I asked for a full refund via email. Since then, I have not heard back from them. Today I talked to another customer support staff via chat, and it was like talking to a computer. She said her team is different than the "email" team, and she will talk to her supervisor. It's been over 3.5 weeks since I purchased this groupon - I wanted to start going to a gym, but because of this, it's been delayed for 3.5 weeks. I hope it gets resolved soon. Either way, I don't think I will come back to use Groupon in the future. This is too risky.
Groupon is hit or miss. Sometimes you get a deal and the business is responsive. But there is also scam which customers are not protected against. One of my latest purchases - the business simply was not responding. The Groupon replied they do not issue refund after 3 days - like seriously? (note i tried scheduling appointment on the day of purchase!).
Anyways, if you have this problem, make sure you file with YOUR BANK. Your bank will compensate and if there re multiple complaints from different customers they WILL HUNT them down. So take an action!
So I purchases a groupon $50 buck, that I cant even use. From the very beginning they kept telling me I could not get my money back and now they stated I could not even get credit for my groupon, and I what they suggested was to give this voucher as a gift to someone who could use it.! WTF. If I wanted to give this as a gift I would have done that from the freaking beginning. Now this money is lost and Im out of luck. So in other words tough $#*!. Ha and I just gave away $50 to Groupon. REALLY. Dont trust this site, they like to steal your MONEY! People.
I've made so many Groupon purchases over the last 5-6 years that I cannot count them. I've gotten some fantastic deals and purchased Groupons for products and activities I would have never known about or spent money on without my Groupon daily emails.
I contacted Groupon to warn of fraudulent moving company and they ignored me. This company created distraction breaking my furniture and dumping in street to steal anything I had of value in back of moving truck. Hallaluyah Haulers, Nashville tn.
Groupon still promotes them. These people are corrupt and operating illegally but Groupon doesn't care. How many more victims?
I used them a lot when they first came out. Only just re-discovered them a few weeks ago and got a few good deals.
In the early days, I'd see a good Groupon come through email and I would jump all over it. Hate to say it but I have been burned many many times with phony deals, and deals not honored when you show up at the retailer or location. Sure you can get a refund but that's not the point.
They sold me a defective mattress and refuse to help me in this situation they put me in. It has taken months of back and forth email getting nowhere. It takes them forever to only repeat the same emails over and over and get nowhere. The mattress smells very bad of mold! They know it's defective and sell it that way. Shame on them!
I'm a regular customer. My love to this website has started long ago before I managed to earn my own money. I always needed discounts to save on the services, so groupon was the right choice for me. I still use it habitually, but the service is not quite the same. Don't know what was the reason and what influenced them, but it changed.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
