Because there is NO vetting process of merchants on groupoff (I don't know that this is true but several merchants have not followed through with products or delivery or customer service) anyone can add anything real or not and then you can't get any help from groupoff or the merchant! If groupoff can't resolve an issue with a merchant they should not be able to sell their goods. This is groupoff's "way out"... "it's not our service or product contact the merchant" No accountability to groupoff!
I have ordered before from them. Had to update my address, I know where I live. Their site wont accept my address. I contacted customer support and this was his response: If your shipping address is not recognized, we won't be able to process your order using that address.
In that case, I'd suggest sending the order to a friend or relative if possible, or to your work address. If you live in an apartment building, you may be able to send this to your building manager instead.
Now there is only one house on my road, right across the road from me. I work at home, and if I wanted to go to the store shopping, I would.
Groupon is a true discount site of many different business. Best to check the site everyday. Never had any problems with other stores they represented, a good site to go to for good deals.
I will never use Groupon again. They charged me 2 times and when I went for a refund they gave it to my kid order, but not for the adult orders. When I finally found the live chat option they lied and they were of no help.
They stole my money and offered "Groupon Bucks" to replace it.

Ordered an item November 7,2019, today is 12/20/19... never received item. Tracking shows item shipped, pending acceptance at shipping center. Tried all methods to contact customer support and nothing works! Cannot cancel order or get refund! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! No phone number to contact; cannot find a way to get customer service. NEVER ordering again... pathetic...
I recently purchased 2 of the same item. When I received the package only one items was in the box but it stated that both were delivered. I contacted Groupon through chat and they immediately sent out another item for free. They asked me if I wanted the 2nd item or a refund I picked the item and I just got it in the mail yesterday! I LOVE Groupon.
I purchased 2 tickets to the Field Museum on Dec 15 as Christmas gifts. No expiration date was shown until I received confirmation of the deal in an email. The expiration date was just a few days away on Dec 31. As the recipients were leaving on vacation the day after Christmas and not returning until January and wouldn't be able to use, I needed to contact customer service. After searching and searching for contact info, I finally found an email. Sent an email, no response. Finally found a phone number but they don't take calls. Finally found Live Chat on the app. It wasn't easily available. Turns out a refund was not an option nor would they extend the expiration date. So I just spent over $50 for nothing! I asked the customer service rep where I could post a review and she gave me an address for customer service. I asked again where I could post a review and was told she couldn't give me that info. When you're buying from Groupon make sure you're absolutely 100% sure the deal is going to work for you because if you need customer service, they're not helpful if you can even find them in the first place.
I purchased a groupon for use at a local spa. I informed the spa when making the appt. And also in person when I arrived. When I went to pay, I showed the receptionist my groupon voucher. I was told that it could not be validated because I was a repeat customer from 6 months ago. So I had to pay 3X's the amount of the treatment, including cost of the voucher. I had no way of knowing that I could not buy another voucher from the same business I'd used six months previously. Groupon took my money without a hitch. Since then, I have tried multiple times to contact customer service, but I cannot get through and the seller whose service I purchased have washed their hands of the whole situation.
I contacted Groupon in regards to an issue with a Groupon Getaway to Las Vegas.
I bought a groupon to the Luxor for a 2 night stay for my husband's birthday, large because of the price of the groupon. Groupon even sent me a confirmation email in regards to the reservation, however the day I showed up at the hotel they could not find my reservation. Once I contacted groupon, I was told that there was an "inventory issue", but "no worries since we didn't charge your card". So instead what happened is that the hotel ended up charging me a total of $329.93 since they had to ask their manager to do what's called a "walk in" to get us a room since they told us that they were sold out, and I had to go through the stress of thinking I wasn't going to have a place to stay. Now I understand that the resort fees would have been $79.36, so with the groupon price I should have only had to pay $182.54. I asked groupon to issue me a refund of the difference which is $147.39. At the end of the day, this was not my error. I NEVER received an email from groupon letting me know that my reservation was not booked nor that there was an issue with my reservation. On the contrary, you guys sent me an email confirmation with a groupon order number so I had no reason to believe that it had not gone thru. In addition, we had at least 3 other parties within our group that booked it with no problem(us being the first), so frankly I don't believe that it could have been an inventory issue. You guys cost me almost $150 because of your incompetence and lack of follow-up.
On top of everything, I could not get anyone respond to me within a reasonable time frame. The emails sent to me said it would be 48 hours for a response, but I never heard anything from anyone in those time frames ever. I had to keep reaching out after I was told a supervisor would contact me and didn't even get a response until I copied the CEO, COO and VP of the company. Even then still, there was no attempt to offer me anything to try and rectify this problem. If i could give zero stars, I would. Will never use groupon again.
My browser decided to glitch, leading to a purchase for event tickets to go through, which I didn't want. Not only that, but it submitted twice. The second transaction could not go through because I did not have the over $200 that each order equaled, but the first did. It was an event, and I knew that those were final sale, however, it was by complete mistake that this occurred, so I contacted Groupon immediately for help. I never received any response and had to email again four days later. They would not concede, even seeing that a double charge for the same event is obviously strange, so I am out the cost and have been gifted the Christmas joy of being unable to pay bills.
It seems to be a huge oversight that there is no escalations team to investigate odd transactions, as this clearly appears to be.

I bought wine and if they charged my credit card and I never received my wines I have tried to recover my money back and it always sends me to other pages I have wasted a lot of time in groupon very bad application I do not recommend it
I placed an order fro 1 room and I look at my credit card statement and they charged me twice for the same night... this has happened before. I tried calling and it places me in a automated voicemail for a website...

My wife and I both have accounts. We have been trying to order Groupons for a couple of weeks. We've tried changing passwords. We've sent them messages through their so-called customer support online. No response. They no longer offer phone customer support. I can only conclude that the idiots do not want our business.
Some how it said I ordered two of an item which I did not. The customer service sucks. You cant contact anyone and it takes them for ever to get back to you

I was trying to buy a canvas for a pic and it ended up stating apparently in fine print no refunds and it was $200 for the canvas the the amount stated, was apparently money off the canvas and very falsely advertised... manager said no refunds and didn't care about how it was worded at all and would not refund even though it was same day
I received a charge on my account for a membership i didnt sign up for, took forever on google to find away to contact them. Once i contacted them they cancelled the membership bu refuse to refund my cash money offered me qroupon bucks informed them i didnt want the qroupon bucks i wanted my actual cash back on my card. Informed me they would review my claim and contact me in 8 hrs that didnt happened.
I contacted them at 9:10am 12/5/19 they called as im writing this review still telling me that i can use MY MONEY on their site. Groupon stole my money and wont give it back please be aware of their practices

Iam unemployed and need all money to take care of my family. Thought i unsubscribed from their site in 2017 when they stole $60 from me and had to refund my money now they took more please be CAREFUL
This site is so frustrating. I've never used it before but, I decided to give it a try, I found something I wanted to do and I put went to check out and it took me to my PayPal for payment. It never said that the payment went through so I assumed that it didn't because, it never let me know that. So I keep doing it over and over, afterwards I decided that it wasn't working and so I went to the place that I wanted the groupon for and I told them I tried to purchase from Groupon and it wouldn't go through, well thank God they told me to look in my groupons because, I literally purchased the same item 4 times and one for the other place. We're talking about $1,000 worth of these vouchers. I didn't know what to do so I looked up Groupon customer service and I couldn't even speak to a person, and they have a crappy voice message saying to go online. It's a complete nightmare. Please know what you're getting yourself into. I had to call my bank, PayPal, and even canceled the vouchers on Groupon. Buyer beware.
There may be cheap deals to have but that's it. GROUPON IS JUST CHEAP-

Hands down the $#*!TIEST Customer Service ever- I stopped using them altogether a while ago but my sister got me a gift through them.
When I try to contact their $#*! customer support via the website, after I click the Groupon I need help with for "My Stuff", the browser just keeps resolving, around & around & then finally gives an error message "Oops, something went wrong".
The only thing that went wrong is that Groupon is too cheap to respect their customers with a functional customer oriented customer service- they are selfish!
Of course I can't reach anyone by phone. Now I will go to my 3 Social Media accounts to give a little blast on how disgusting Groupon really is to my thousands of friends & followers. You suck Groupon.
Groupon does not leave an accessible phone number. Their website is just as bad. It took me over two hours to finally cancel my reservations. You should be able to go to my Groupon and check the item that you purchased to hit a cancel sign. They make you go through all kinds of sites to figure out how to cancel a transaction. Shame on you Groupon for not caring about your customers. You could make it much easier to cancel a transaction if you choose so. Buyer beware.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
