I bought a cleaning service. They didn't have availability for over a MONTH! DAMN RIPPOFF! Then when I immediately tried to get a refund on the same day I purchased the service, I was given "Groupon Bucks". They wouldn't refund my card!
I tried to contact them and they referred me to a refund service THAT CHARGES A FEE! How does anyone with a conscience or a iota of decency work for this scam outfit?
Purchased two suits that were poor quality. Returned them for a refund only to find that everything is handled online, which is extremely frustrating. There isn't any support from humans, and all I want to know is when I can expect my refund. Based on this cat and mouse game of trying to get a refund processed, I will NOT purchase goods with them again. The refund process should be just as efficient as when they process my payment at the time of sale. They lost me!
I used to use groupon for lots of local services in my town. I haven't used it for 4-5 years and purchased 2 slots for a sensoryi-deprivation tank. After the purchase, I tried to find the phone number and address of the place and there was no reference on who to contact. No website, no names, no answering service or machine to take messages (mailbox is full), no emails... It was then I realized that I may have been scammed! There was a reference to a building location, so I jumped in the car and drove there. Turns out, Groupon will not update the contact information for the service (phone number, names, addresses, website, general information). The guys on location said it is Groupon then who gets to pocket the lost funds. I am horrified! Not the exchange that I remember long ago and I will not be using them again... ever. The Groupon concept was unique but they have no sustained crediblity after this incidence.
Joined groupon for a coupon deal on an automobile allignment on a Friday. Arrived Monday to utilize it. After waiting 5 hours, the facility said they would not do work because struts appeared to be leaking and grease on cv joints. Well my mechanic said they should have adjusted toe and camber wihout regard for what they say they saw. Plus, my mech. Replaced those parts 20k miles ago so highly unlikey that there was a problem with them. Facility obviously did not want to do the low price allignment. They just wanted to set up a deal for $1461. 00 worth of work that I don't need. And the topper is: can't get my money back because Groupon has a 3 day return policy that was not noticed at all, at the time I purchased the deal. You find out afterward when you have trouble. Expecting problems redeaming the so-called grouponn bucks that are now on my acount that, I can't seem to see anywhere on my account page. Got screwed by the whole deal. Disgusted beyond belief!
They charged $155 for a water sport package in Miami, and the fine print apparently said that it was half the cost. Just about all of the customers were in the same boat and everyone was mad. Even the workers said Groupon is shady with things like this.
Groupon is best and has excellent service. Staff is helpful and nice. Quality of all products is great. Collection is nice. Once ordered, delivery is fast. Recommended to friends.
If I could put a - I would. Over two weeks ago I received a radiator cover that looked as though it had been dragged all the way here. I contacted them to inform then that there were no parts to assemble it and the outside of the box was battered. They were completely useless. Every time I was put through the the management team who were equally, if not worse than the first person I was on chat with. I asked them to call me and this service was not available? They asked me to send a copy of the manual, I did. 8 days later still no parts and they then ask me to send the parts I required! I explain this was started on the manual, so all of them! There were No parts but trying explain this was like pulling teeth! Talking to Groupon is like listening to my 6 year old daughter arguing with Siri on my iPhone. And why do they not have review page? Funny that. I'll be deleting my account and will never use them again. Im £40.00 down and they boil my... trying to speak with them.
I paid $24 for a Groupon for a meal kit delivery service. Since I did not see the fine print that said "first time customers", the meal kit company refused to honor my Groupon. Therefore, I immediately requested a refund of my $24, as the Groupon was now unusable. They absolutely refuse to give me my money back. So they get a free $24 and I get nothing? What kind of business does this? A corrupt one, it seems.
PURCHASED THIS PACKAGE AND WHEN I RECEIVED MY VOUCHERS DID NOT SAY DINING PASS. I spent the last 2 weeks talking with Groupon and the hotel I booked with to get a refund on our reservation as their was a natural disaster in our area so their water was off and no elevator to use. So they informed us that they will be happy to provide a refund but I have to got through Groupon to do so. After multiple customer service tickets with the General Managers information to waive their cancellation policy and provide refund they send me each time they tried to reach the establishment for refund but was denied approval and can't process a refund. Same automated email each time. Will never use their services again.
I bought 100% organic bamboo sheet sets on Groupon that turned out to be 0% anything organic about them. In fact they were 100% polyester. When I went to return them, since it took over 30 days to deliver them, it was too late for a refund. So instead I'm supposed to get groupon bucks. Well now it's over 30 days again since I returned them with no actual return seeming to happen. It's just stuck enroute. And what really pisses me off is the same lieing crappy sheet company is still on groupon advertising their polyester sheets as organic! I would include picture of the ad, but don't know how to do phone screen shot " intentionally" ( happens by accident all the time, lol).
Wow, so unprofessional... Groupon lied to my bank about me receiving the product I bought but asked for a refund without receiving anything. They lie their way to not refund anything. Do NOT buy anything on here. I've had this problem for weeks and still can't retrieve a refund, absolute waste of people.
I bought a limo ride through Groupon. Turns out the limo company was closed. Groupon has spent three weeks "investigating" and the whole time they're still selling the limo deal. I need to get to the airport and I'm now out close to 300 bucks. Rip-off.
Horrible customer service. Bought an airport parking voucher. Make you view it in order to make a reservation. Once I clicked through to Peachy Parking, the actual cost was over $10 less on their site. GroupOn CS says - "too bad so sad!" you viewed it so it is not refundable.
Ordered a gift which was delivered weeks late. No problem, it happens. The issue is the return process. Sent info to get refund and return product. Received email stating needed email address for return label. Sent information again. Received email asking if in original box unused. Again sent information. Recieved email asking for email address, again sent information. Recieved email saying label sent ti email, look in spam and will not resend. There was NO label sent! Month later no refund, no label just disappointment, frustration and anger at groupon! Was a long time customer, first return, never again.
We purchased 8 x 8 canvas and 12 x 16 and all were beautiful. Thank you so much, our family will be ordering more soon.
I had a problem with a merchant and it was not resolved. I booked an eyelash extension and when I arrived at "Narotique Spa" they did not follow my scheduled appointment time and I waited 20min without complaining. Then they said they could start the service but they would need to interrupt the service for 40 minutes to attend another client who was not from Groupon, had no scheduled appointment, but who they "needed" to attend to. I told them that was unacceptable after I had been waiting for 20 minutes. They told me to reschedule or ask Groupon for a refund.
I called Groupon and told them that I did everything that is in the Groupon policy but the Groupon attendant said that was not possible to refund my money back directly but that she could give me Groupon bucks. I don't want Groupon bucks because I don't want to buy anything else for Groupon if this is the businesses you are representing and how you treat your customers.
Groupon retroactively reduced a one year magazine subscription I purchased from them to 3 months and refused to provide a refund!
To say I am disappointed would be an understatement! I purchased tickets to for a local Christmas event on 12/14 the tickets were for 12/24 well in advance only to receive an email stating that it was cancelled! No explanation as to why it was canceled... simply it was canceled. Unfortunately tickets are no longer available if I were to purchase them directly from the event website which is what I should have done from the get go. Thanks Groupon for this awful experience but most importantly for disappointing my children.
There is no customer service like literally it does not exist. I got the wrong size of product and tried to send them back. No response from groupon or the merchant. They no longer care about the customer. Very disappointed.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
