If you just want to buy something & not request a refund- you should be ok.
But, if you need a refund due to Covid reasons- you will not get one. You will be requested to email the merchant & ask for a refund & if they agree, then you have to get them to email info. As if they are going to say yeah sure heres your refund!?!?!
No, Groupon is happy cos they have their cut & the merchant is happy cos they have your money! But you are left with no refund or credit. And- they will msg you back a little until they cant be bothered anymore.
Very unprofessional. Its just money grabbing. They dont seem to care about customer satisfaction. Be wary...
Do not do business with these clowns. They refunded an active Groupon for airport parking that I did not request. Now the "deal" is not valid and now that I am out of town returning in two days, I will have to pay the full rate to the merchant for all 7 days. Of course, their customer service is apparently in another country and those people cannot speak English or understand electronic correspondence in the English language. What a mess. Thanks Groupon for being amazingly crappy at your business!
Groupons customer service team is crooked. I tried to cancel a purchase I made with them immediately after paid them and they claimed escalated to a resolution team but my money was never retured!
WITHOUT PRJUDICE and in my opinion:
I have just been told, we should have followed up on an order sooner and as such, they would not give a refund. I have then noticed the history of this company and I noticed they have defaulted on agreements on numerous occasions and kept the money. I have contacted the supplier and they confirmed they did not get the money that Groupon kept it.
There is a pattern forming where they non-supply and then keep the monies.
I have taken legal advice.
Ordered set of 48 brush heads on January 12th the product not delivered after 8 days, sent more than 10 times emails to: *******@groupon.com
No response / no product and no my money back in one word: they are scammers!
I don't advise anyone to buy from groupon just a headache
The first time I found out about Groupon I was excited about the discounts, never fails to give a happy face, thanks Groupon. All the negative reviews are probably posted by angry Businesses who are losing money because they decided Groupon is not making them money, well you people decide to use Groupon to advertise for you than you don't to pay for their services, honestly doesn't make much sense. But I am a very very happy customer!
Groupon bought out Ideel - formerly Ideeli. Their quality is poor and they offer nowhere near the type or quality of vendors that Ideel(i) had. I used to be able to find merchandise from vendors I had never heard of and everything came packaged beautifully, on time, and at a great price for the quality and designer. Some deals on Groupon are good, but they offer the same ones all the time for local activities; however, I had one Groupon that the tour company stated that theu haven't used Groupon in more than a year. I also used 2 Groupons for flower deliveries (ProFlowers) to 2 people and they didn't apply the 2nd Groupon when I purchased them. I ended up losing the credit since I couldn't use out it in the time frame allowed and no one else I knew could use it. Extremely disappointed. The flowers delivered by ProFlowers were beautiful, but still disappointed in that they didn't credit my account for the difference. I do not have a poroof of purchase because
Groupon does not stand behind their services but simply takes commissions. I purchased a GROUPON VOUCHER for a spa manicure for a spa in Huntington NY (Trilogy Spa) and pedicure deal and received a basic express mani pedi. Despite what my GROUPON VOUCHER 's services clearly spelled out and what I received Groupon's only recourse is to pass product/service issues onto the business directly and they take on zero accountability and or responsibility for the transaction and services they are representing and taking commissions on. Due to the fact in this case there was no way to reach the owner, simply an answering machine on site where the technician that provides the service picks up the calls so you cannot freely leave a message. I paid double for a service I didn't want. GROUPON WAS A NIGHTMARE in dealing with the complaint and did not stand behind the offering. GROUPON presented nothing but obstacles in my attempts to unsubscribe and close my Account. My Message to you DO NOT USE GROUPON and support your quality brands and definitely go to your favorite spa and pay the big bucks and get what you pay for. DO NOT USE GROUPON AND STAY CLEAR OF TRILOGY.
It is a cheating and lying company selling promotions and when they arrive at the house they want to make more charges, I am going to report them in bbb for misleading advertising, I waited 10 days for them to do the work for me and if I did not accept an extra $250 they would not do the work for me
I received a Groupon voucher from someone as a Xmas gift (12/21) to a resturant that was out of business way back in Aug/21, three months prior to the purchase. Groupon Customer Service

anything due to privacy issues. How tacky and improper. I will be contacting the Attorney Generals Office for futher review.

Crooks seriously some of their stuff may work when trying to redeem but most won't and then most recent issue with them is false advertising and an unwillingness of them to make it right us insanity they are literally robbing people left and right with a restaurant.com deal and not fixing any of it just stay away from them they are disgusting have zero customer service help that's actually helpful and no number to call that's your first red flag
Look at this fraudulent crap and when asking them to fix it this was the response I received four days later! See pictures please
Also they went back into my account and charged me for another of the same thing the next day without my approval and they refuse to freaking fix that too! Save time and money and sanity and don't ever use the crooked site groupon again!

This is the most crooked company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They refuse to refund my money even though they were refunded by the tour operator. All they want to do is steal your money and write endless emails until you get tired. Not worth the trouble. Do anything to avoid
Well I ordered a wallet it's in transit. Then ordered a 6 pack bra's. Well the company that were to send my bra's never sent them instead they took all my money out of my account. Groupon did nothing and the company never returned my email.My bank is taking action now. Stay Far away from this Groupon. They will rob you blind hidden fees and shipping isnt free either..
I ordered a service at a discount on Groupon. The vendor didn't answer their phone. Though frustrated, I get it, we're in a pandemic. I contact Groupon to ask for a refund since it was no fault of my own. They only offer Groupon bucks as an alternative. I was frustrated. So I am now checking back a few months later on my account and Groupon never even gave me the credit in Groupon Bucks. Honestly, this is one of the most sketchy companies with poor customer service I have seen. Makes sense their stock is tanking as they're losing customers/ revenue.
Pro Tip- If you want a service you see on Groupon, call the service provider directly, 9 out of 10 times they will honor the Groupon price since they don't need to give Groupon an additional spiff on the transaction and you have security in paying directly.
I received a gift from a relative for Groupon. I could not redeem the gift by the code. I spent 3 days trying to resolve the issue. I was told the person that purchased the gift needed to contact. She had no success either. We asked for a phone number and I was told they don't presently have that. I asked for the CEO's address and they couldn't give me that. I googled the CEO phone number and address. The phone was constantly busy. I tried the chat and they were going to charge me a $1 which was refundable to solve the problem which I did not do. Who pays money to resolve an issue where I can't redeem the gift I was already given. Would not recommend that anything be purchased from Grou0pon.

They wanted the person gifted request the refund. We tried that they were going to return the wrong one. I didn't want to create a larger problem so told them the amount that was involved.
When you contact customer service as you explain what the problem in they just stop communicating after retrying several times and being cut off I quit hours later get an e mail asking the for the same info.
You can't talk to a human so you know that they are understanding what you tell them. Luckily I only lost 15.
I have communicated with 3 to 4 differant people the other person also communicated with them.
This took all my time for about 6hrs
The office canceled my appointment 3 times and then Groupon had the nerve to tell me I cannot get a my refund back, I have to get it in Groupon box. These people think I pick my money up from the street. Both of these companies need to be reported to consumer affairs. BE WARNED!
Groupon are the worst third-party vendor site on the Internet. My product does not show up in their listings even though the import the information directly from Viator. They have absolutely zero customer service whether you are a customer or a supplier I am removing my product from their website.
Used to care about their customers u til they became big. Now they treat you poorly. Refunds are always a hassle if you change your mind or don't use a Groupon. Providers at times are very hard to reach and or treat you differently than a normal customer.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
