SCAM

Went to purchase some Big Heads for my sister in law's graduation. Took forever to connect with a Groupon representative. In the end, I paid Groupon $26.97 for 3 heads (3 x $19.99 value on the website = 59.97) which I then paid $13 per big head for shipping and tax ($13x3 = $39) because groupon wouldn't let the vouchers combine. So I pay $39+ $26.97 = $65.97 for a $59.97 +$13 ($72.97) item. Saving $7 in total... Total rip off. Used to use the site to save for fun events like graduation. Now its just sad.

As a supplier i have had nothing but trouble and complaints from my customers that book through groupon as a third party booking site. These clowns take 22% commission for doing nothing to help the customer liaise with the supplier often bodging dates and relevant information for both parties. Zero customer support for suppliers and limited for the booker. Beware if get a tour cancelled you will be offered points back not your money. I have no choice but to advetise with this terrible company as my producted is sold by Viator/tripadvisor to them. I am in the process of removing myself from this terrible company. Top tip book direct with a company rather than a 3rd party website who dont care.

Terrible experience

Purchase a 2 day getaway for my gf and her daughter and come to find out Groupon gave our purchase to another customer because they said the card information was incorrect not even allowing us to update the card or anything. I even tried to call my bank and they confirmed the funds were available. It's unfortunate because we were looking forward to that trip. We will not be using Groupon anymore. The civil thing to do here would be to allow the customer to update their card info. It has not even been 24 hours.

No such thing as Customer Service

They make it extremely hard to get any customer service from them. They should be more concered abut the customer than the money they make from customers. I had purchased a groupon for a company, and the company took forever to get in touch with, and we finally got in touch to make a appointment. Once we finally made it, for weeks out, they were a no call no show so we never go the services we payed for. After this experience I have been trying to get in touch with Groupon but they have no way to get in touch with them. The "chat now" group wont respond to messages and the response time for an email is 3 days. 3 Days? Thats absurd. Great company indeed (Sarcasm)

Groupon is the worst to order from. I requested a refund for services I bought but the place closed so I was unable to redeem the Groupon which cost $85.00. Groupon agreed to refund me but never gave me my refund. Tried to do a charge back and still didn't get my money back. I let it go just chalked it up as a loss ordered City Passes that cost me $250 for a trip I'm taking but tried to get a refund right now for it and they are refusing my refund so basically Groupon stole $335.00 from me. I will never order with them again horrible customer service!

I gave a one star review but if I could I would give no stars due to the inconvenience that I experienced during this transaction.

I bought three tickets to attend Jurassic Quest in Bristol Tennessee. The tickets per Groupon were listed for Mar 11-13 2022, but the actual date for the quest was Mar 18-20 2022.

The dates that Groupon posted was incorrect and they would not give my money back or do anything to resolve the issue. The entire transaction seemed like a scam due to Groupon posting the tickets for the wrong date and then not being able to come to any resolution for their mistake.
It took almost two weeks for Groupon to even understand the issue. And even then they did understand, they not reach out to me. I was always the one reaching out and trying to get this resolved. Groupon stated "There is nothing we can do." However, Being such a large establishment it is hard for me to accept that Groupon had no way of making this right. Even reaching out to the merchant there was no resolution. I pressed further because if this is happening to me imagine the thousands or even possible millions of users that are being scammed and taken advantage of by this company. They eventually gave me Groupon bucks after I pressed and pressed about the issue, had I not done this they would have kept my money, however, giving me Groupon bucks was not satisfactory. I now feel tied down and obligated to use a service that I feel had taken advantage of me and my time. I would rather have my hard earned money back.

I could understand if this was a small business and if their processes was new, however Groupon was established in 2008. The unprofessional experienced and the lack of customer service has really shown me the kind of business this company truly is.

I would not recommend Groupon to anyone. I will make sure to tell everyone my story so they know my experience with Groupon.

Awesome House Cleaning

We purchased a house cleaning voucher from Groupon. We got a cleaner by the name of Iranda. OMG! She did an awesome job cleaning our house. I was so impressed with her attention to detail. She is the best cleaner I have had in a long time. I will definitely have her come back again. Great job, Iranda!

They have really bad customer service. No phone number to call. When you need help they assume the issue would resolve itself by ignoring you. I was so frustrated on the charges to the credit card and they were not able to provide me with an answer on why my card shows many charges. On top support was very unhelpful.

I wanted to make a purchase on one of their deals and it showed an error. They told me to buy the deal from New York on the Canada website because I am from Canada. They have no clue that New York is located in USA. Just because I am in Canada, they expect I am able to purchase Groupon deal in New York. I told them that the deal doesn't exist on the Canada website. Then they think New York is in Canada. I am talking about New York Manhattan.

Searched for discount for Sam's membership. Groupon offered one for $20.00. When the verification did not show up in my email, I contacted Groupon and they said they couldn't provide a refund -- all within 20 minutes. To me, this is a fraudulent charge for a FAKE authorization code. Purchase from Groupon, take your risk. And by the way, there was no fine print.

Not sure about Groupon anymore? Well I made a purchase to join Sam's club through a Groupon offer, in which you supposed to get a free pie and 25 dollar e gift card from Sam's after using scan and go. Well it's been months and this has not been honored. Everyone from Groupon and Sam's acts clueless. This is unclear or perhaps false advertising.

No Refund/Good Luck

Purchased tickets to a Vegas show, I'm visiting for a week. The venue said they didn't have any seats for that night, (it only plays twice a week), they said come back next month but the tickets expire the month before. I said I'm visiting from Canada, I don't live there.
Contacted Groupon for a refund, they wanted copies of all emails from the vendor and myself, and all transaction numbers, etc, they said it may take up to 7 days to complete their refund investigation. I had to contact them a week later, and they asked for all that info all over again. I said check the claim number I gave you. After a few minutes they said the original agent dealt with it. I said I never heard anything except to wait until they contacted me. They didn't.
They said the "fine print" specified the tickets were subjected to availability. REALLY? They oversold the event, and that's my problem?
So who gets my money? And for what? I didn't receive any merchandise and I didn't receive a service.
This company is only bent on selling, selling, selling and not servicing their customers. They don't even know what they're selling. They are a "turd" party middleman with their fingers in your wallet.
This is the first time I've ever used them and it will be the last. Don't make the same mistake I did!

I have not been able to limit the amount of vouchers that people are able to purchase. Businesses use to be able to have this boundary. All they say is, "I understand", leaving us being the bad guy with potential clients. Shameful business ethics all through Groupon not letting their merchants having a voice.

I am so tired of companies and businesses using "COVID" and now war to take advantage of people. Groupon has now joined the bandwagon. Everyone else is robbing people why shouldn't we. Eventually people will wake up they will not tolerate the lack of service and quality. I made a purchase via Groupon I realized they had my old address. No worries because there is a time window to edit or cancel at least that was the option I was given so I updated my address immediately. Company still sent to wrong address. There response was oh well nothing we can do. In my opinion the company Expert Deals robbed me. They say talk to Groupon, Groupon says talk to the seller lol It's a joke they both passed the buck. Not getting what I paid for means nothing as long as these greedy pigs make money. Done with Groupon and as for the little company Expert Deals You will fall. You are not big enough to be pigs and you will never get there.

Scam artists

When I joined Groupon 7 or 8 years ago, it seemed pretty straight forward, $20 certificate for $10 at a local restaurant, good business practice to get people in the door. Now, there is an issue with every interaction, there are no straight forward deals any more, everything has a hidden catch.

I ordered a patio umbrella and later that day a tree fell on my patio so I asked if I could cancel? They emailed me saying they canceled it, and my refund would post in a couple days. Three days later I get an email saying they are so sorry but the item is out of stock, so my shipment wont happen. Again, they said my refund would post a few days... still no refund!

I bought a voucher for "fresh food" to be delivered. The offer, and the voucher said "shipping included" but when I went to the web site to sign up, I had to provide a credit card because they are charging me shipping. They also put me on an auto renewal program.

Virtually every "deal" has "fine print" that contradicts the offering! It's one step short of a full blown scam!

Im permanently disabled on a fix income and I use Groupon for their Discounts. Recently, Groupon is refusing to refund purchases made that I am entitled to. I have requested multiple times by email the need to resolve this matter and I'm constantly dismissed! I'm just trying to get what's rightfully mine. I've sent them Proof of pictures of the original purchases with pricing, pictures from my bank account showing refunded amounts, Groupon account showing pre-existing transactions for account credits and they keep saying Everything has been refunded. If I had existing Groupon credits on my account and Made purchases using those credits but later canceled those transactions, I should not only be refunded with my purchase money but also the pre existing credits. Groupon not only didn't refund my purchase money they wouldn't give me back my pre-existing credits. In addition to not allowing me to speak to management to get this mater resolved. Till this day no one has called me back. This is very unprofessional to say the least. This has been very troubling and I can't believe a company like this would be so dishonest. On 2/11/22 I purchased 7 Groupons in which I canceled ALL TRANSACTIONS CONDUCTED. In addition to those transactions I had two pre-existing credits already applied to my Groupon account which were available for immediate use. I uploaded all documents in question and still won't correct the matter.
I sent two pictures from my bank.
1.) One stating the original purchases of 174.75 and 120.91 withdrawn from my bank.
2.) Two Trade-in credits of the pre-existing credits. 109.86 before membership discount.
3.) The 7 items purchased on 2/11/22 with their purchase numbers attached.
4.)Pictures of Five transactions that were refunded.
5.) Current Groupon Credits on system. Lower then owed.
I made 7 purchases and only 5 refunded. I should have credits should have 9 TRANSACTIONS TOTAL REFUNDED!
GROUPON IS A FRAUD!

I never had issues until I bought tickets and they closed early for weather. I email support for a rebate. They reply with info and never credited me. On my time I had issues. All other experience good. Always verify what the coupon entails sometimes merchant and coupon discrepancy.
