I recently purchased a Groupon deal for a haircut & color at a nearby salon. I paid for the biggest package $72, because I wanted the full-color, cut and style. Well, when I got there, they informed me that I had to pay an additional $30 for a Foil Color. Whatever! I paid for the full package deal $150 value. That should have included everything (cut, color and style). I of course paid the extra $30, but was fuming the entire time I sat there. I asked what the price was without the Groupon, and they told me that normally it would have been $70 for the Color, and an additional $50 for the Cut & Style. So, with the Groupon, I basically saved $10! I am pleased with the results, but I am still pissed about having to pay an additional $30, when I bought the biggest package deal on Groupon, and thought I had everything covered!
I wish I could give it no stars crappy piece of $#*!.

Ordered my perfume over 3 weeks ago and still haven't received anything. When I called they said it was lost in transit or out of stock. They Almost did not refund my money. I hate them they suck. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR.,...

Bought a pair of boots - size 6 1/2. Recv'd said boots, size ELEVEN. Really?
OK, so i returned them (in the meantime, my size sold out, which sucked.)
They recv'd my package on Oct 2. I waited until Oct 13 to inquire. Said they had a warehouse move and would process my refund "soon". So, I inquired AGAIN, on Oct 25. NO REPLY. I sent another email today. I am quite fed up with this company and frankly will not use again but in the meantime i want my money back - BECAUSE I WAS SENT THE WRONG ITEM.
I have purchased over 100 items and been pleased with the majority of items. There were a few stinkers but over all great deals. A few items I was not satisfied with included wood items such as fruit shaped baskets. Read the fine print and checkout reviews inline

Purchased a Simmons Mattress that broke down after 4 months use. Groupon will not consider trying to resolve the problem.
I ordered the Pet water Fountain and it arrived today with over half the parts missing. No Motor, main housing strainer, or stator, so it was useless. I called to get the missing parts or a replacement, but they couldn't give me either. All they could do is e-mail a return shipment label and told me to ship it back. Very disappointing Company to do business with. Hope I get my money back
I thought I had bought a leather satchel - a great deal, was really looking forwards to receiving my bag. But although I'd put in all my details, and the transaction, made through Paypal (which I never have a problem with) seemed to go through ok, I received no email receipt.
Seemed odd, so I looked at my Groupon account and saw the order was recorded there. Phoned up Groupon - who said they'd had problems with the transaction and immediately cut me off. Checked paypal and no record of the transaction.
Phoned back. This time they asked for a credit card. I said no - I didn't trust them, it was my first experience of using Groupon, please use Paypal. Then it transpired that the bag was only now available in a different size and colour. They asked again for a card and I said no and asked them to cancel my Groupon account. They said they would - but cut me off again. I think this is a company to avoid.
Bought a chromebook through Groupon. After a month of waiting for it, it arrived with the screen cracked and unusable. Groupon has not refunded or exchanged my product, and the company that sold it to me through Groupon is not honoring the warranty and claims I have to go through Groupon. I keep getting pleasant emails from Groupon from a computer asking me if my problem has been resolved- no, it hasn't. Nothing has been done. Meanwhile, I'm out $140.00 for a product that is unusable with no customer service to help. Last Groupon I'll ever purchase.
Booked a getaway - 4 nights with flights, hotel and one tour for £269 each - bargain we thought! But when we tried to book with the travel operator today we were told there would be a £150.00 supplement for the dates we wanted. £419 each was much more than we had anticipated paying for our "bargain" weekend away.
I searched around online and discovered that if I booked the flights, hotel and tour separately I could not only do the whole trip for slightly cheaper (£417 each), but get MUCH better value for money - I could get airport transfers, hold luggage and an extra tour all included within that price, which we'd have had to pay extra for with Groupon.
So my advice is only book a getaway with Groupon if you've searched all over the net for a better deal AND you're completely flexible with your dates AND you have phoned the travel company in advance to find out what the supplement is.
I'll now have to go through the hassle of cancelling my Groupon order and getting a refund, which will take about 7 days.
Folks, sorry to say that Groupon's business model is based on consumer's addiction to perceived savings and a retailer's desperation to market their products to survive. Groupon is counting on this vulnerability and has a knack to package their company as a savvy marketeer while screwing both consumer and the retailer at the same time!
I like goupon but the previous experience I have had with them was not pleasant. Just like other companies, everyone has flaws
I recently purchased burberry men's cologne from groupon goods. It was my first purchase from groupon goods and my LAST. I received women's perfume. Which is different from men's cologne. I called customer service and they told me I have to ship the items back to groupon goods since they only purchased limited quantities of the product. When I take time from a busy job to go to the post office to ship the item back to groupon goods, I must then wait until groupon receives that order before they credit my credit card. I should note that they offered to credit my groupon account $10. I redused and told them I would never use groupon goods again.
I have ordered over 30 things from groupon using the Groupon app on my phone. I will say I might be addicted to the site. I have not had any issue with anything I have ordered. I have ordered watches, water bottles, sheets, towels, usb cords for android phones, phone cases and many more things. It does take a while sometimes for orders to arrive but the site tell you that is usually takes 2 weeks for items to even ship out so it is no surprise that it takes long.
I've been going back and forth between groupon and the service provider for several months now trying to get a refund for the unused portion of a coupon for two massages. The first massage was left me with bruises all over my back and in incredible pain for three weeks. The service provider agreed to refund the unused portion of the groupon coupon; Groupon claims the service provider never contacted them; service provider says they did; groupon says he didn't... get the drift? I will not be using groupon or the service provider again.
I have ordered many groupon goods and have generally been very happy. Even my mystery purchase was nice. I got a great headphone set. Once I received only one of a set of bamboo cutting boards and they simply gave me a total refund and let me keep the one they had sent. The only bad experience was with an inferior quality sheet set. They actually tore apart after just a month or so. Otherwise, I really have enjoyed my products and groupon's service.
You can find good deals on this site! I would recommend calling the places before you purchase the groupon deal though. Some places tell you to make an appointment months ahead of time making you have to wait to get the deal ex: beauty, spas, massages, etc.
Three times in the last two weeks they had "an inventory problem". They gave me a $10 credit-but how am I supposed to use a credit if they don't ever seem to have the merchandise I want/ordered? Don't waste your time.

Part of the reason we can offer such reasonable prices is because we don’t keep any inventory. Instead, we work directly with the manufacturers, who ship to us, and then we ship to you. From time to time the manufacturer is unable to to send the promised amount of an item or some of the items arrive damaged so we cannot ship them to you as we had hoped. This type of thing doesn't and shouldn't happen often and I'm very sorry it happened to you more than once recently. My Wife bought Gillet Compatible Mach 3 Blades for me from this site. The Quality of blades was so bad that it did not do even a single shave properly. Groupon sells really poor quality goods on the name of discount. When I tried to contact their customer service, its pathetic too. Their Customer Service guys has only one objective, how to stall you and refrain you from returning the stuff. I al still struck with those useless blades. Stay away from this site. Its not worth you time and money.
Really horrible customer service! I was their customer over 2 years. In August this year I bought a watch and this dispatch was delayed for > 2 weeks. When I finally got it I found a creme in a box.
Now they offers me 25 USD refund only. Even not the cost difference between creme & watches. Amazing scorn. I will stop my purchases from this site.

When a member received a wrong item the agent should have offered you a return label for a full refund back to form of payment for the item. Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
