Tried to make a purchase with gift card money and they demand a credit card even though no money will be put on it. Called customer service and had to wait a long time (how many things could they be doing? Must be all complaints). They force you to use one and then keep the information!
After you give them a card, they keep it and you cannot remove it on the website; you have to call them. They're obviously using your information.
DON'T give them credit cards! Stop them from doing this.
Be extremely careful browsing groupons - accidentaly hit the "buy" tab and it's yours. Period. You find out you bought it when you receive a confirmation email. You only have two hours after purchase, not after confirmation, to cancel the order. Depending on how often you check your email, there's a strong likelihood that you are stuck with whatever the item is. It has now happened to me twice. The first item I was able to return ( a big drag as it was sent to someone else, 1500 miles away); this second time (today) the item is nonreturnable - and absolutely unwanted, unneeded by anyone I know. Fortunately, it wasn't an item costing several hundred dollars - but, even if it had been, Groupon' answer is - "too late!"
I placed an order with Groupon... not my first. An hour later, I found the same item for much cheaper elsewhere. Went to the Groupon website to cancel my order. I received an Order Confirmation with Order Number from Groupon by email. Clicked on the link they provided to "Cancel My Order". When I got to the website - my order was not listed. I tried to call - but the recording said basically "they are too busy to answer the phone". So, I used the Chat feature. After 45 minutes of "chatting" where I provided EVERYTHING - my order number, the credit card I used - I even scanned and emailed a copy of my Credit Card statement showing the Pending Charges from Groupon. They just could not find my order and told me they would contact me if they found it. This morning, I get an email saying they found and it "thank you for your order". They did not even cancel it! Now, I have to spend another hour trying to get in touch with them to actually cancel the order! So amateur I couldn't imagine ever shopping with them again! Poor, poor service.
I have bought things off Groupon before and have had no issues and always received what I ordered however when I decided to purchase a refurbished phone from ezy gadgets this was not the case. They sent me out the same phone twice that did not work and are now refusing to pay my delivery costs. The customer service from this company is beyond terrible. I would advise people to yes use Groupon but please avoid buying a phone from ezy gadgets you will be left a month and a half after purchase with no phone and angry at their nonchalance. Avoid at all costs!
I've only had pretty good experiences with Groupon. Any time I've had an issue, they have resolved it. Great way to save on restaurants, activities and other local services.
Groupon is a site and an application where one can puchase coupons at affordable rates for two. Coupons for all types of deals are present be it saloon, restaurant or gateways outside city. These are very affordable. You just have to purchase the coupons online, book your appointment, show the print out of the receipt and enjoy the services. Deals for all types of places rated even 5 stars are present here. The menu and service details are also present. It is a well informed site. The quantity and quality of the services are very good although not as compared to without coupon because the menu and services are fixed here. But the quantity of food us enough for two people. I continue searching for deals on Groupon and when ever I find anything good I use it and will continue. Nowadays even offers for bulk booking are available. So keep searching and enjoying.
What happened here? Ideeli was my favorite site for YEARS. I can't even begin to tell you how many people I got to sign up, and without even trying to get the referral credit. It was my main source of apparel and household items that I probably had a near-addicition. I took a break to save money for my wedding and I see a Groupon site? That looks like a toilet? Gross. Their site design was sleek clean and easy to navigate. There was a column the showed your recent views. This new site is garbage and it sounds like customer service is also a pile of feces. Ideeli used to be so responsive, helpful and stylish. Now it looks like a site that an intern made. So sad.

I had $200 in credits and once ideel.com merged with groupon, their customer service is lying to me. First they said I had no account registered with them... once I showed them proof that I did, they all of a sudden "found it" and lied to me saying that I don't have any credit. I HAVE $200 credit that I was saving up to purchase somthing nice for myself. Now they STOLE my money.
Ordered some dresses, they were too small. Sent back, was issued a credit to my account. I knew I would probably not order anything else since their clothes run so small. I emailed them, they said they don't do refunds, only credit to the account. 2 years later, my credit in my account "magically" disappeared. Contacted them regarding this, and was told since another company bought them out I was out of luck. Tried to dispute on my credit card side, but unfortunately since I had closed that credit card account, they could not do anything about it. So I'm out $69. Not a lot, but not exactly small change. STAY AWAY...
The only things I have purchased through Groupon were TERRIBLE and the emails were incessant --- even after I thought I unsubscribed! I had to go to my email filters and actually block anything with the word 'groupon' in it to get rid of these emails. Like a virus - do not take the bait from this nightmare!
I have bought a few things off groupon and it was such an amazing deal each time, IO have never had a problem using them! I would recommend this site for whatever your needs massage, vacation, restaurants or anything!
Really bad service. Ordered a product, best part of £100. Wrong model sent out. Cannot do anything about this mistake. Offered to send the complaint to another department which takes 10 days. Or can process collection of item which takes another 14 days before they even process my refund. Very very bad business
I was a loyal Ideeli then Ideel customer. Now Ideel- Groupons and it is the most horrible service I've seen for any website. Items take forever to ship and they give you some lame excuse when you call. I am an Internet shopper queen and this really is a horrible site. I will never purchase from them again. I will definitely tell all of the people I referred to Ideeli and then Ideel to never shop from Ideel-Groupons.
They take your credit card information for bogus deals that do not exist when you try to use your so-called "groupon"
I love a bargain, but it took me a month to successfully un subscribe from the multitude of emails EVERY DAY! Not worth it!
I recently purchased two apple watch bands (in different colors) from Groupon. I received one watch band and it was broken. I returned the item and received a refund. It took over a week to receive the second watch band that was ordered at the same time. When I opened the package, it was not a watch band but a protective cover for the face of the watch. I contacted customer service and they told me to send the item back for a refund. It has been over 3 weeks and my refund status is now closed. When I contacted customer support they said I received a refund. I did receive a refund, for the first band that was broken. However I have not received a refund for the wrong item I was shipped. I have contacted customer service 4 times and receive the same generic, prewritten email response each time. Customer service is obviously not a priority and not taken seriously.
I have had nothing but hassle from this site. I have lost £150 from Groupon through buying a a watch which did not work and was unable to return or to get them to answer the phone or email. STAY AWAY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Groupon gives you great opportunities to try things you may never tried before they also stand behind their products and the companies they represent, they're easy to get a hold of, they return calls there are human beings you can speak with, great company to do business with
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
