Such a shame that Groupon protects businesses more than customers. I purchased Cocktails voucher, now I am unwell and cant use it but they refuse to move the booking date, even if the restaurant itself is fine with moving it. It's upsetting how little they care about their clients. Now restaurant gets £36, groupon commission and the customer big fat zero, shame on you Groupon!
So far I have ordered 4 items from Groupon, one still being in transit.
Item 1 was delivered promptly and without any fuzz. Perfect.
Item 2 and item 3 did not show up within the expected time frame. I had to chase them both. Item 2 was allegedly sent out on time and in transit. I was asked to be patient. Funny enough, 10 minutes after I had this rather generic reply from customer service I received another email saying that my items had been shipped (again?) and I got it via Hermes the same day. Maybe I am wrong but isn't this a bit of a coincidence? I chased item 3 after 9 weekdays only to be told it should have arrived by now. Customer service said they'd send it out again and I should expect it within a week. I am glad it wasn't a present or something I needed on time. Fair enough it arrived within the week. Item 4, well, it's been 7 days since I ordered. The tracking number provided does not exist, all I know it's that the product comes via Dutch post. Let's see what happens. I will not be using Groupon again.
Edit: not surprisingly item 4 has not turned up in the delivery window either. The tracking information does not exist, so I have to get in touch with their customer service yet again. Once I get my item I will be deleting my account (and tell friends and family not to bother!).
When customer buying an item has to pay straight away. But when he cancel and order and wants money back, they not doing it! I sent many email to have my money back. Fraud! Lack of professionalism!
My husband, originally purchased a two night Cotswolds voucher for us and two friends as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, at that same time, his brother David who was suffering from a brain tumour, commenced palliative care at home. Although carers were in attendance 3 times daily, he required 24 hour nursing care which was given by his partner with respite care given by us to assist her. The distress at seeing his younger brother rapidly deteriorate took its toll on my husband. Christmas came and went, as did January. David finally passed away on 15 February.
When my husband tried to book the hotel, he then realised that the booking expiry date was 31 January. He contacted Groupon, twice to explain the situation, I even sent a copy of his death certificate, but to no avail.
Our family has been through a very distressing few months and following our loss of David, the next few months will be also. Whilst I understand Groupon staff have procedures to follow, it is very disappointing to be told our £238 voucher is just void due to the late booking. It is a lot of money to lose in this manner. For this reason, I asked them to reconsider their decision in this matter. We had the equivalent of the universal shrug. So I put a bad review on Trust Pilot and they asked me to email the details again in order to give them a second chance to put this right. Think they were just responding in this manner to make them look sympathetic on the review page. The second response was the same; the universal shrug!
Needless to say, we will not be using Groupon again! EVER!
Dreadful service, item arrived broken and damaged, not I'm being asked to take to a PO to return, its very heavy and they wont send a courier, although it was delivered by courier. Asked for a Manager to call me and was told not possible as they only emailed! They must be robots, absolutely shocking..
Booked a holiday with Groupon, a 6-day trip to Italy. Their agent, Weekender Breaks pretty much ripped us off, making us flight bookings that didn't connect to the rail travel. We then had substantial costs to change the flights. The rail travel also turned out to be pretty much of a con, they booked us on a 1-way ticket only. Further costs for us to get back again. There were also many other issues, so all in all, a very bad experience.
We can only recommend people to keep away from Groupon and their lousy holiday companies like Weekender Breaks.
I ordered a daybed for £260, waited ages for it to come. Opening it I was shocked as the welding was so bad, inferior quality, not stuck together properly and brown rust stains all over one side. Phoned up to get it collected, have to wait another week with it stuck here.
Then told my refund can take several weeks after it has gone back!
I ordered two products from Groupon website on the 3rd of November.It is supposed to be in transit from the 7th of November. It is already December and I am still waiting for the products that supposed to be delivered in 7 working days.
I paid for a 2 night break on 5th November, money was taken on 6th November, still have no voucher. Rang groupon and the American lady( I rang England number). Said they had no record of me buying a voucher for our break. I explained that money had been taken from our account. She requested a bank statement which we sent her via e-mail as she requested which shows money as being taken. She then proceeded to tell me that i had to have a letter from our bank to confirm this. She had an bank statement which is all the bank would provide. She asked for a reference number for the sale which i couldnt give her as i had not recieved any information from them. NO voucher. Nothing so how would i give them a number from nothing. I am now waiting for a reply from them concerning my £124. I now want a full refund. Sod the voucher.
GIVE ME OUR MONEY BACK. Your quick enough to steal from our account now PAY US BACK.
That happened 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting for my money or my item.

So what happen with my money and also she say she can't change the delivery address at this time but I wrote to Groupon the same day of my purchase by live chat and email as well.
Please return the £228 to me ASAP.
I tried to apply a promo code and Groupon bucks but order went through too quickly. I immediately went to live chat who told me my order wasn't on system yet but I would get a refund once it came on. Two hours later my order was received and processed. I can't get a refund because my order has been processed! Customer services stopped live chat because I can't get refund after order has been processed- despite the fact I'd been told I'd receive a refund two hours before the order has been processed!
I will never trust or use these crooks for anything ever again. Lies after lies, overseas customer 'service' that simply hang up when they've had enough of you, lies about delivery dates, no possibility of refunds. How can these people get away with this? Never again
This company go to the extremes of being totally disorganized. One part of this company does not know what the other part is doing! You get a different person with no experience every time you call and there is clearly no communication with customers or between staff. I booked a hotel stay for 2 nights and a hotel stay for 1 night on consecutive nights. The booking was taken by groupon but the hotel did not have any availability for the third night. Groupons mistake. Thus begins a four week nightmare between myself seven different groupon so called customer service agents and the hotel. Groupon told me i needed to get the hotel to get in touch with them for a refund. Still no refund from groupon, absolute bunch of idiots, i am taking them to a small claims court for the £379 of mine they still have
I order an item on 10/04/2017 and it is still not here. I booked delivery my self direct with the company and groupon cancelled my order without notifying me. I phoned them and they said they would be intouch today. 4 hours later still no contact from groupon. I phoned them and asked for a refund of £319. They said it would be in my account 5-7 working days. No apology, no reorder, no compensation for stress, phone calls and the order still not here 18 days after purchase.
Placed order which was cancelled due to "Fraud". Only found out a month later after contacting customer support as I was not informed via text or e-mail when or why it was cancelled (which turned out to be the same day the order was placed) and my account was closed. I was not charged but due to poor communication on their part I will not be using their services again.
I ordered an item from them and when it eventually arrived was wrong item. I sent an email to the company which was ignored completely so now I have to return it to them and then wait at least two weeks for a refund. That is if I get it. Very dissatisfied with the service from this company as even though they are in the wrong they refused to send the right order to me. Shall not be ordering from Groupon again.
Awful behaviour from Groupon: my mum signed up with them, and brought from them a Patisserie Valerie voucher for high tea as a birthday gift for my daughter. As a direct result of her signing up with them, her bank account was hacked. They reimbursed the money (which is something), but then proceeded to cancel her account, and not tell her about it. This afternoon when we went to celebrate my daughter's birthday, the voucher wouldn't scan. Patisserie Valerie were brilliant, but Groupon weren't. After waiting on the phone, in the cafe, for half an hour, we spoke with Shaun (20 minutes), then his manager Dan (20 minutes), the they 'escalated' it to their Resolution team who, we were promised, would ring us back before we finished our tea. Needless to say, they didn't. And still haven't. The outcome, it transpires, is that because they've cancelled my mum's account, anything and everything she bought from them prior to the cancellation (thankfully only this item) is now un-redeemable. Because... funnily enough... she no longer has an account with them!
I ordered an old refurbished Mac for £180, and it arrived after a couple of weeks. However it was overheating when I used it and because of its age had virtually no usable applications. I decided to return it immediately so the day after I sent it back by special delivery.
Two weeks on I was still waiting to hear back, and the information on the website for this order simply said 'closed', so I contacted Groupon by phone. They said that they did not know what the hold up was and that they would contact CRS, and also that if I sent them the receipt for the delivery they would refund immediately.
I waited another few days, then I emailed them (a challenge in itself as their awful website gives no obvious contact address - I had to search for it on different sites) again with the receipt for my special delivery. It explicitly said on their website that sending evidence that you had sent the item would result in immediate refunding.
They responded to my email telling me that I needed to contact CRS myself and email them. I find this shocking as their whole business model is being a middle man. They did not provide me with any contact details for CRS, just a website. I have repeatedly asked them why they cannot contact their own supplier, and for more contact information, but have still (a month on) not got it.
I personally believe they are making it deliberately difficult to return items, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are breaking the law in this respect.
In summary:
-Bad product
-Bad website
-Bad customer service
-Lazy and vague replies
I recently ordered Hoover vacuum. The tracking system on Hermes says they problem accessing the address when I've previously order items from Groupon and them delivered. Called Groupon and they couldn't help me to track my item. I have no option to contact Hermes either to find out what's the issue. There was no card left on my front door to say they were unable to deliver for me to arrange collection. Totally frustrated with Groupon and Hermes.
Advertised as £40 value for £10. Pictured grey striped branded pillows.
Received 4 plain white unbranded cheap quality pillows.
Rubbish! Cannot be bothered with hassle of returns.
Straight to the charity shop.
Answer: Finally got it open, broke a steel rule and eventually had to use two clamps, hardly "easy to use"
