My problem is different from most, because of unauthorized debit card use, groovebook could no longer charge my account, so im fairly pleased with my photos, but trying to enter my new info, became the biggest nightmare imaginable, so after editeding my account 8 times trying to enter my new debit card info, and uninstalling, and reinstalling 3 times, i finally gave up!
I have never signed up with them yet they send me emails saying i need to upload more photos for my book. I have emailed them many times telling them that I do not have a membership and do not want one. They say they are "sorry to see me go" but will remove me from their list. Then a month later I get another email saying I need to upload more photos for my book or I will be charged $2.99 or whatever. I DON"T USE THESE PEOPLE! I have marked them as SPAM, I have demanded they cease and desist but they keep at it!
I have been trying to cancel my awful subscription to Groovebook. I have been a customer for 2 years and for about 1 year I have been trying to cancel with them! They take a monthly payment out of my checking, I have proof of various emails back and forth telling me I am cancelled and yet no stop of payment from my account. For about 6 months I did get books and they were repeated and duplicates of pictures I didn't even pick. I am going to have to change my checking account #. I will have to get all new checks, new submitting of info at my work. I'm frustrated and angry at GrooveBook.
These people are terrible. You have to email to cancel, and they don't cancel. You call and get recording that says you can only email. Cat and mouse game, and I Am the one who pays monthly when all I want to do is cancel... horrible.
After signing up., the app wouldn't accept my address so I emailed customer service and ordered my first book. Two months later still not received. I used the app to order the second book and the app would not allow a second order until the third Minh deadline. I emailed customer service to cancel my subscription considering iNEVER received even one book. I asked for a refund of my subscription but never received one. Four months into this mess I received the second book, which was filed up with done of my photos and coupons for referrals. The photos are terrible quality and I still never received the first book or a refund.
A recent issue today has me rethinking keeping my Groovebook account. The spine arrived damaged either from shipping or from Groovebook. Customer Service was quick to state they are sending out another book. On their Facebook page you can see where many people complain about the image quality. Once I finally get my replacement book, I am cancelling and looking for a better quality solution. Pics are dark regardless of original image, as well as the grainy look. They are lower quality than a polaroid.
I like the concept but the quality is just not up to the standard. Dark, blurry, grainy prints. I had to reprint all my photos somewhere else. Shipping is a bit slow but it's not a huge issue for me. No billing issue, I was able to cancel easily.
I cancelled my subscription back in June and sent Groove Book 2 emails asking why they continue to charge my account but they refuse to reply, yet continue to charge me monthly. Now it's up to me to get a new debit card, which then means I have to change my account info on Paypal and any where else I have this card listed. Buyers beware of who you shop with!
I asked to have my subscription cancelled several times to no avail.
After showing proof that I had requested the cancellation and questioned the subsequent charges, I was told by Groovebook to contact my card company and submit a claim for fraud. And they would not be able to cancel my account.
They would not help me. What little communication I received was weeks after I emailed, if at all.
These people don't care!
Got an email saying I would receive my book in 10-14 days. It's been 16 days and no book?
I love the idea and I like the product but they have 0 customer service, they keep charging me and I only have 2 books but have billed me double. Nobody answers my emails and there is no phone #

When erroneously charged and requested a cancellation, Groovebook lured me by stating my next two credits would be free. Then I was subsequently charged another two times.
Additionally, did not receive books, Groovebook noted it was my mail delivery issue, not theirs. I paid $66.66 and received two total books.
I am beginning to believe this product and service is an entire scam actually.
Once this went to Shutterfly the quality of the Groovebook stinks! Looking for an alternative to Groovebook
Great concept -- Bad quality --! Pictures don't represent what you see on the phone screen. Still a record. You get what you pay for.
I just started receiving in July, I have received 2 books now, one for each month and my first book was supposed to be free and you charged me $3.16 and then in 2 weeks... you charged me $3.16 again, then in 2 weeks... you again charged me $3.16... I would like to hear from you and I would like a refund plz and thank you
I am so angry Groovebook has been charging my account for over 1 year I have 2 books. Wont accept address change. BUT MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS YOU CAN NEVER TALK TO A PERSON YOU CAN TEXT OR EMAIL EVEN ON THE SITE NO CUSTOMER NUMBER OR EMAIL HAVE TO GO OUT OF SITE AND GOGGLE IT. I rarely write reviews this company seriously needs to fix customer service if it wants to survive
Groovebook is the textbook example of what can go wrong when big business overtakes a mom & pop cottage business. R. I. P. Groovebook.
Saw this on Shark Tank. Good concept so I signed up. Shortly after I'm sure I heard they'd sold the concepts/company to Shutterfly. Get the feeling that if the original owner still had it, the company would be different now. They've ruined a good thing. I canceled because the app doesn't work and the photo quality stinks. Shutterfly said they'd help "scale" the business. From all the reviews here, it appears they are scaling it right out of business. Don't waste your time or money.
1. The paper is FLIMSY
2. The quality of the photos are HORRIBLE
3. I can NEVER speak to a live person, it's always email! Terrible customer service!
4. I've had the same password for a while (I keep giving them chance after chance to see if anything gets better and it just gets worse) it told me my password is wrong, which I know is BS cause I KNOW my password! When I click "Forgot my password" it will let me put my email in but the keyboard won't go away so I can't click submit.
5. I hate this company. As soon as I get my password crap taken care of, they're done for. It was a nice concept, but not for me. Please don't use Groovebook, it's nothing but problems. That is all.
Answer: They are a horrible company... until the BBB or Attorney General's office gets on their case, they'll keep abusing customers. They didn't respond as Groovebook, and now with Shutterfly it's the same deal. Cancel your payments and sever your ties with them... otherwise you'll have aggravation forever. BJ
Answer: It is impossible to cancel! I had to dispute 6 months of charges to my credit card. Groovebook responded to my email cancellation 3 times and confirmed cancellation. However they continued to charge me. Thank goodness my CC expired so now every month they email me to say they are having trouble processing my payment and need a new CC. They are awful!
Answer: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME! LOVED it until Shutter fly bought it... then the picture quality went to crap... grainy... poor color. HORRIBLE! There is NO customer service person to speak to... only email... and all you get is a generic scripted answer. IF you haven't signed up. DONT! If you have CANCEL!
Answer: Parkingtoday are now working after months and months of problems so hopefully the glitches have been fixed
