My First and last time
September 15, 2023

First of all I booked this reservation on August 5th and i choose seats 9A and 9 B for myself and my husband so we could sit together. I PICKED those seats the website allowed me to pick them! We booked well in advance and received an invoice and receipt for our seats and reservation. Hours before our trip we received a email our seats were unassigned out of nowhere. Then sent a new ticket with no seats! How can you just unassigned our seats hours before our trip. I tried reaching out to the customer service number that is online, they were no help. I had to fill out a feedback survey and wait for them to reach back out to me. When they did they informed me they would not honor my reservation we booked in advance and informed us we never choose they seats they were auto generated, they actually were not. I went back and forth with the so called "customer service" they were absolutely no help not do they have a number to really call for immediate response. They just kept sending generic responses. This company is a scam i will never support them again. This now means we have no clue if we have seats at all. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Customer Service Experience and Operations
September 5, 2023

I would like to begin and say I have traveled with Greyhound before without problems; however, my experience this past weekend has made me not want to ever use their service ever again. My trip was from NYC to Atlantic City. I feel like that was an important detail.

Firstly, the bus smelt like old urine. The other passengers and I complained to the service agent checking us in and the bus driver who continuously ignored us and passed the responsibility off to the next person. I don't know if anyone is aware of this but sitting in an enclosed space with circulated air with stale urine can do to one's health but I'm sure it is not pleasant.

This will be my last time traveling with this company. The service agents are rude, the company must not train them on proper customer service. Because they were lacking compassion and overall patience for the situation. Also, why do we have to pay a convenience fee when booking tickets at a station when the option of purchasing with an agent is not an option or available.

Overall, I will not recommend this line or them to anyone moving forward. Also, they no longer have anyone to handle complaints and pass most of their responsibility off to a third party company, FLIX Bus.

Also, taking my concerns to Twitter are pointless because both direct message features are not accessible. I'm sure that it is purposeful.

Don't use greyhound
August 21, 2023

Don't use Greyhound, here I explain why. My gf took Greyhound yesterday, there was an issue with the bus, so it stopped on a highway for 4 hours, waiting for a new bus to come. After 4 hrs, the drivers together with 2 polices secured the passengers and transferred them to a new bus. Guess what happened. After 1 h, this second bus again was not working. Finally, they left all passengers at a gas station. My gf was left at this gas station and I had to drive 2 hours to take her back. I paid 60$ for my ticket and they didn't provide the service. I contacted the customer service, and they said we cannot give the money back.

The worst
August 21, 2023

Its amazing this company is still in business. The deivers are terrible the sevice is bad. I was on a bus form Nebraska to Sacramento and it was a nightmare. The second bus driver change, wouldn't come out and we were 3 hours late when we got to vegas then the stupid black woman allowed the fking bus to leave and she then proceeded to go off, and wonder of all wonders be unprofessional, yelling at me for her stupidity. That made me miss the next bus in LA so after 2 fuxking days on a bus and and another day and a half still to go I caught a plane, bc i would never have made my next bus and greyhound determined THERE WAS NO DELAY! Refused to issue me even a partial refund. I will be disputing it with my credit card company. We need a competitor to this $#*! of a company bc then this crap won't happen as long as the new company doesn't hire black women

Greyhound experience
July 31, 2023

Greyhound is not recommendable, I travel with them and I won't track with them ever again… I would not recommend them to someone I hate…. They had a delay for 6 hours and they sent a notification 1 hour before the original deputies time. And for some reason they thought that was ok… called customer care and they were so rude and render no assistance.

Shut this company down! Dangerous
July 19, 2023

The ride from Indianapolis to Vegas was bad enough, but the return trip. Pure hell! The drivers are the rudest people. You have to be rude to be hired. Left Las Vegas and these idiots took me all the way to LA-Phoenix and then flagstaff, Arizona which out another 16 hours on my trip when I called and they would fix it to leave Las Vegas and go straight to flagstaff. I broke my foot had to be taken to hospital, had a terrible trip in Vegas on top of picking up my brothers remains from passing away. Absolutely no sympathy or compassion. We went almost 26 hours without food at the stops either closed or just an area to pick up. I could go on and on. They need a class action lawsuit. This BS needs to stop. When I pay $430 for a damn ticket I expect the service I paid for. 51 1/2 hours on the same bus, get all the way to St. Louis today at 11am only to be told at 11:45am (11:30 time scheduled to leave, that we have a 3 hour delay to Indianapolis. WTF I'm done! PS: I was suppose to be on the bus that killed 3 people in Illinois when we left. Driver error I'm sure no driver gets off a ramp at 70 miles an hour and slams into 3 parked semis unless your tired.

American Veterans don't ride Greyhound
July 12, 2023

Greyhound is a bad choice for US Veterans! First, the company is no longer an American company it is owned and operated by FlixBus out of Germany. On June 27th, 2023, I paid a cash fare of $210.98 for a one-way trip from St. Louis, MO to Denver, CO -- BUT BUT BUT - the bus driver went to the wrong passenger gate and left several passengers stranded like a jilted bride standing at the alter! Now this stupid company will not refund my money because they pretend "that the bus left on time"! Greyhound will not take phone calls regarding complaints. The company insists on email only and will not respond in a rational manner. So if you served your Country like I did during the Vietnam era - take my advise - Greyhound will leave you stranded and keep your money and never bother to thank you for your service!

Terrible experience
July 3, 2023

I'd like to express my disappointment with Greyhound's bus. I got this bus from LA to Frenso-CA. It was above 100 degrees outside here in Central California, the bus was almost full and the AC is just not working. It was extremely hot in the bus and there is nothing we could do. Terrible experience, A pregnant woman and another passenger with congestive heart failure, both feeling bad and the bus kept going. After about the second stop, the bus just shuts down. Everyone had to stand out of the bus in the middle of a highway for about one hour waiting for another bus to pick us up. Driver was not really helpful and did not answer the questions. She kept calling supervisors and different people but not giving attention to the costumers. I don't believe it's fair to pay what I paid to get this kind of service. Costumer service refused to refund my money. Terrible experience with greyhound

Zero stars
June 14, 2023

If only I could leave a score that's worse than terrible. My bus home from Atlanta was 2 hours late. I missed my connection thanks to that, arriving in Nashville at 11pm. They gave me a new ticket. For 10:15pm the following night. But oh! They'll comp me a hotel room! I finally get to the MOtel (genuinely don't care the difference, as long as I had a room to lock and shower in, but call a spade a spade) and apparently greyhound was supposed to give me a number to confirm my room.

Stranded in a motel with no access to the room I was promised, in a city I don't know, no car, no money, hadn't slept in 30 hours, I call my mom in tears, and she and my dad sent me money to get food and cover a room myself, and my brother and his partner had to drive 18 hours round trip (from Michigan and back) to come get me. The customer service is horrific, and besides the ONE woman who fought so hard to get the attempted comp approved in the first place, every single greyhound employee I meet my entire trip looked at me like they wished I'd drop dead on the spot.

I was notified only 35 minutes prior to departure that my bus was two hours late. However, the bus arrived before that newly scheduled time and departed without even a notification. I was able to reschedule my trip, but informing a customer of a departure time and then leaving before that time is a completely unacceptable mode of business. Customer service offered only empty words.

Not true to the people
June 8, 2023

My trip from Toronto to Wilkes Barre was good, on my way back I got an email saying that I will be enjoying my trip onboard greyhound with free wifi and tv shows, what a joke 1) the bus was very old dirty and seats hard for a long trip 2) no tv the email said 100% of our buses have a nice trip this is not funny. After the Covid-19's they are worse than before, the prices not that cheap even though it's supposed to be cheap when advertising in Canada I cannot remember see US dollars this maybe my error but sure was surprised to see the amount coming out of my bank. Again this could be my error. GREYHOUND NEED TO CHANGE THE WAY THEY ARE RUNNING THE BUSINESS. We the consumers in this day and time should have better services

Hell
June 2, 2023

I had purchased two seats, and only received one causing me and my friend to have to share a seat for the duration of 2 1/2 hour ride. I had requested a refund and did not receive one very very aggravating. I do not suggest to use this company under any circumstances because of my experience and the experience of others. It seems like a very irresponsible company and a company that does not care about their customers.

Horrible company
May 29, 2023

This is an absolutely wretched company that has no right doing business in the United States. I booked a ticket to be picked up in Huntsville, Alabama to Columbus, Ohio in May if 2022. I showed up at the pickup point in a gas station parking lot. There were probably about ten other people there as well. We all waited for a good hour and a half past the pickup time before were told that the bus had driven by our stop and it was on its way to the next one in Nashville. I was told by some of the people waiting that this oñwas the second night in a row it had done this. I ended up catching an Uber back to a relative's house where u had been staying. I tried contacting Greyhound for a refund and they told me one wasn't available because I had paid a reduced fee. This company is an absolute joke. I will never ever try to use their service again.

HORRIBLE!
April 4, 2023

They need a competitor that goes to ALL major cities. They us miss tryouts twice for being 5 hours late one day and 7 the next. NEVER using them again. I'd rather go to Grand Prairie and have the longer Lyft ride home than deal with them anymore!
