It took over an hour to rent our car at the Stanstead office because their credit card machines wouldn't take the insurance deposit. We were told that, "this has been happening all week with Mastercard" and the suggested solution was that we made a payment for the insurance and then waited up to 5 weeks for a refund. Eventually I managed to add a different Mastercard to my Google wallet and the insurance payment was put on hold that way.
If this hadn't worked we would have been left stranded with no car at 12am in torrential rain and the Greenmotion guy didn't have a viable solution.

I wish I could rate this company with 0 stars. We flew into Tampa, and got no answer when we tried to call them for a shuttle to pick us up. When someone finally answered the phone, they told us their system was down and were closing and we were not getting a car. We were left stuck at the airport, forced to go back in and attempt to get a rental car, which of course were all super expensive!

So Far So Good I have rented from Green Motion and on the their service is good, however I have the same complaint with GM as with all hire companies. Please include the CDW insurance in fulling the cost of the rental...

Great to be able to book online with such a wide range of options and pricing. Have used the service at Liverpool Airport on a number of occasions and have found the staff to be extremely courteous and helpful, and the car hire to be easy and efficient.

I had a horrible experience with the Greenmotion. The employee at the desk refused to accept my Israeli driving license, claiming they are not international.
Needless to say, I rented cars in many countries with this license without any problem.
Moreover, upon Greenmotion request, I sent photos of my driving license to them in advance, so they could notify me that they don't accept Israeli license.
Besides, I spent at least 1/2 hour waiting for their representative in the airport to drive me to their office.
Altogether, it took me hours to go back and forth, and rent a car with another company (Buget).

Seit vielen Jahren bin ich zufriedener Kunde von GreenMotion. Einmal vor einigen gab es eine persönlichen Streit mit der Leiterin des Büro des des alten Standort, Container außerhalb des Flughafen. Auf dem Weg vom Hotel in Jurmala zum Flughafen begann es zu regnen. Das Auto natürlich nicht ganz sauber, ich musste dennoch eine Autowäsche bezahlen!

Arrived at the time to pick up and was told they have no cars available. I booked through Priceline 2 months ago so there is zero acceptable reason my rental was not available. This is very poor service. They can see my rental on the computer so they know I was coming. I don't recommend them nor will I ever use this this pathetic company again. I had to pay for my uber back to airport and find another rental company.

Answer: DON'T do it. They advertise low and sting you at the counter! Clerks hard sell additional insurance (they get a commission). In Glasgow, Scotland this last August, they tried to get me to pay $800 in insurance to cover a ten day rental that was about $35 a day! Many people have posted about scams where they charged unsuspecting customers for "damages" that were already on the car but the customer may not notice, like a tiny chip in the windshield or a small scratch on the door edge.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at [email protected]. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
Answer: They are robbers and scammers, never think to rent a car from green motion, they will charge you thousands of euros, instead buy a new car
