Consistently delayed receipt in shipping

More often than not my boxes both while I was living I'm Vermont and North Carolina arrived days late as Green Chef uses FedEx ground residential delivery. Frequently the food was spoiled. The meats arrived warm as the ice packs had long thawed. I would not recommend this service.

This is a scam

Do not sign up with this company! Even if you cancel within one hour of signing up, as I did when they revealed the food choices, and even though they send a subscription cancellation confirmation email - they will still charge you $39.95! When I saw the charge on my card and called them about it - they said that even though I cancelled the subscription - I didn't cancel the first order! And they refuse to refund my money! It's complete gas-lighting technique, and now my credit card is involved to dispute the charge. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with these people - they will not succeed no matter the product is, by employing such transparent attempts to grab your money for nothing in return. They will soon be mired in refund disputes, and you'll be left holding the bag.

Terrible service.

It asked for a card before I could view the menu. After viewing the menu, I decided against it. I placed a cancel immediately, and they still charged my card.

Worse company ever. I canceled same day i signed up and it is still sending me a box. I could not find where to cancel the box. I called and customer service told me i could change my meals but not cancel the week so i told him to change this certain premium one and he told me i could not change that one! You just told me i could change it dude!

33 boxes in and my family still loves it. Consistently good produce, we had only once in the last year that a vegetable went bad before we made the meal. Very varied and many healthy options. Portions are just right for us. It has helped us save on take out tremendously, and so much tastier and healthy.

If I could give a company ZERO STARS I would. I ordered this service just for one week to give it a try and canceled my subscriptions so that I would not receive any further orders. I never received a confirmation email of my subscription or my cancellation. They sent me a box and refusing to reimburse me my money, they would not connect me to a manager right away, they would not provide a link for reviews, and they would not provide a copy of the date and time stamped confirmation email they said I received. The meals were not two portions, and they weren't even that good. The absolute worst customer service I have ever received, and this company steals your money. THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY.

SCAM to the max..

You can't see any of the meals unless you sign up AND Enter your CC. I should have turned back right at that moment. STUPID ME. Once I saw the meals I did NOT want them. I CANCELLED immediately. I then wrote to them saying DO NOT SEND ME THE MEALS. I have Cancelled. Their team reached out to verify my address. I wrote. DO NOT SEND ME THESE MEALS. DO NOT CHARGE ME. I wrote them 3 times. Not one response back... trying to call them. Hahahahahaah

I CALLED AND CANCELED THEY STILL SENT ME A ORDER WHICH I DID NOT ORDER IT WAS PORK AND CHILE AND DIARY WHICH I DO NOT EAT... AFTER I CANCELED FOR THE SECOND TIME THEY CHARGE MY CREIT CARD AGAIN SO WE REPORTED THEM TO MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS CRAZY BEHAVIOR THIS COMPANY WILL NOT LAST LONG TREATING CLIENT IN THIS BEHAVIOR... Worst service
October 30, 2022

There timelines are disgusting to cancel any order. Even though if you call them and ask them to cancel they come up with their norms beyond which they cannot do anything. Uselessly in their disclosure they have appended weekly subscription and if you miss to skip the week they will keep on sending that uselessly. If they cannot help on anything why do they have customer service. I recommend not to get this.

I thought I was just looking at meals but accidentally signed up. As soon as I realized it, on Oct 22, I cancelled my account. Yesterday, October 29, my card was charged. I called them this morning and was told the last day to cancel was yesterday and that they can not do refunds. I said I cancelled right away but they said I had to call to cancel. Nowhere on their site does it say that. It says Cancel Anytime at least 7 days before delivery. Customer Service is terrible. I am a senior citizen and will get food I don't want at a price I cannot afford on November 4.

What a racket!

Beware! GreenChef worst service Ever!

I signed up with Greenchef only to have them fail to deliver food boxes 2 weeks in a row while charging me for both weeks. I had to spend more than an hour on the phone trying to get a refund while they hung up on me twice. Then I was told it would take 10 days for them to refund my money. BEWARE. They will charge you and not deliver any product. What a tragic scam.

Can't Get Delivery Right!

I initially loved Green Chef's food and service. I even recommended it to 4 other people. However, the honeymoon was over quickly. In the first incident, they didn't include one of my fish items. Another time, the meal NEVER GOT DELIVERED. Also, I've specifically asked them not to leave the box at the garage and, instead, bring it to the front door - it is specified in my delivery address; in the delivery instructions; and I've called about it 3 times. Yet, they keep leaving it at the garage. These incidents have happened back to back. Each time, they've offered to either give me a credit or reimburse me. That's great but I'm spending too much time on the phone with them each week reporting these problems. It's not worth it. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE.

Green chef now has a QR code on their bags of food that leads you to a app call BIGO LIVE that is a hook up app for young people. Young women are in scantly dresses. WTF Here is a write up on BIGO LIVE.

Parents need to know BIGO LIVE - Live Stream is a free app that lets users make video blogs or livestream their activities with the object of monetizing their videos. Live streamers receive live commentary from other users, and the app lets you search for nearby users

The app stresses on connecting with strangers is a major red flag that this app is not safe for kids. Content on the app is almost always mature, inappropriate, vulgar, and violent. The app counts on its AI to verify a user's age, which can be bypassed somewhat easily.

The executive who decided to promote this app on their packaging is an idiot and should be fired. What were they thinking?

I was GIFTED 4 days of free meals by Green Chef to see if I liked them and then continue their service. I picked out my menu for those 4 days and they were delivered. I noticed on my bank account that they had charged me $113 for the next round of meals, which they picked for me, as I was not interested in continuing with them. I called them and spent a very long time with customer service in which they notified me that if I went to FAQ and typed the word "free", I would then see that when you place an order, you are automatically subscribing to their monthly service whether you want to or not. I was furious, but very nice on the phone. Who goes to FAQ when picking free meals or otherwise, unless you have a question? It was NOT on their main page, but rather if you typed the word "free". Are we suppose to know this? They only refunded me half of MY money. BEWARE of hidden agendas with this company. I will be filing a class actions suit, as I have read in many reviews, that I'm not alone in this matter.

Don't do it

This company is shady as f. Not only are their prices ridiculously expensive, (see attached photo of the FOUR olives, HALF of a past its prime red pepper, a single tomato, and ONE green onion I paid over $100 for) but even after you cancel your subscription they will continue to send shipments unless you go in and manually stop every individual week's order for the remainder of your original subscription. Just unsubscribing doesn't stop that, even though it should. AND because you canceled your subscription they will not send you the shipment notification email. You literally will not know until the box arrives at your front door. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY. It's simply outrageous that they are still in business.

Terrible

I will start off by saying I had the service for 27 boxes. I have called the company multiple times about packages being delivered a day late. They said they would call me back about the issue, but they didn't. Their solution is to credit the shipping, however, I order 3 meals and if it's not delivered on time, I'm having to pay for dinner twice but one of the meals is going to be thrown away. Along with the day late deliveries, they believe delivering packages between 9pm and 1am is in on time. Food is missing, rotten, or altogether wrong. Items can be sent conventional and not organic without any notification, forcing you to use the item or omit it from the receipt. I've also been into a piece of plastic in a meal that had little to no prep work. Customer service is of no help so I canceled my subscription.
