Make sure you fill out an application as soon as you know you want to reserve a puppy. You don't pay a deposit at this point.
I believe this could be a great platform for some, and that the breeders on it do adhere to great health and genetics breeding standards, but at the end of the day, we found many even more awesome breeders outside of the platform at a better price, even after including the $500 we put down in deposit for a mini Aussie on Good Dog (+ additional $40 to Good Dog). We did not like the experience with our breeder at all - they told us there was a waitlist, but for the second litter we were on the waitlist for, they repeatedly skipped us or let others skip the line before the 7 week selection timeline she had originally given us - the pups were at the time 2-3 weeks old and hard to even see what they look like in the pictures. Unfortunately Good Dog's policies is mostly there to protect the breeders, so we did not even try to get our deposit back since it states in black and white (the fine print most people don't read through in the excitement of applying up for a new pup) we would not. We also realized after putting the deposit down and our bad experience, most breeders outside of Good Dog don't even charge as much. The breeder on Good Dog was charging $1000-1500 higher for a pup, and $200-$300 more for deposits in the Seattle / Washington area. The breeder we found on Facebook used to be active on Good Dog (we checked that after finding them on our own), was super communicative and professional, and gave us a much better overall experience.

Easy to use... Found an excellent breeder... very authentic and honest... the site itself is nice to use because it helps keep your deposit safe... in my case that was $400... so that made me happy... there is some fees they charge but with the ampunt of breeders they support... the info they have... ans the fact the website worked flawlessly... i rate them a solid 8.5 out of 10 and i never give perfect reviews... so 9 out of 10 is really the highest i would go and has yet to happen. The number of health tests is how a breeder is rated "excellent" "good" etc.
Good Dog does NOT confirm whether the breeder actually breeds the designated breed they state. Registration certificates are not checked.
If Good Dog states on their website a breeder is breeding a purebred dog they should confirm the registration certificates stating the dogs are of that particular breed.
I have spoken with Good Dog and they say they aren't able to check registration certificates but only health certificates.
Be careful when screening any breeders used on this site. Confirm the sire and dam's registration certificates of a reputable breed club and look at the breed designation.

I bought a puppy from RNA cockers which is now is enchanted puppy's it's really strange the breeders name was. Natilie Ramirez now it's Marie the whole website has changed in 2 weeks time I've been trying to contact her she told me she took the puppy to her vet but after I got the puppy I took her to my vet and she had worms and ear mites I paid $1300 for the puppy and I felt she should pay for my vet bill $120.00 but she won't awnswer my text but before I bought the puppy she was real nice sending pictures answered my calls before I got the puppy something is really strange with her and her website be careful with now enchanted puppy's

I'm a fairly new member of GoodDog.com but from what I can tell they are really here for the breeders and buyers. From start to finish! They give discounts on our health testing up to $100. Per year, have great attorneys to help negotiate puppies going to new homes with legal contracts and make the whole process so much simpler to deal with. I breed for myself so, having homes already lined up for the one or two babies that need a loving forever lap this place helps me have them in place and waiting when the time comes. I have been in contact with one of Good Dog Breeders in Crystal; Florida for dauchshund and have had conflicting information. Overall experience has been awful. I still haven't been able to talk with the breeder by phone. I requested that I come by in person and make my deposit and see the puppies I was buying., no response. The only contact was by email and request for payment. I felt uncomfortable and made me feel like this was a scam. I am very upset that I wasn't able to get my fur babbies.

I went through the application process and it is thorough but a joke and yes I could be one of their excellent breeders but would not want to be included as their criteria allows large commercial breeders to be excellent. The health testing for excellent does not meet the minimums set by breed club, excellent should mean at least the minimum testing set forward for a CHIC certificate. They sell themselves as screening breeders but THEY ARE NOT DOING A GOOD JOB OF THIS AS IT WOULD RESTRICT WHO WAS LISTED ON THEIR SITE THERFORE CUT INTO SALES. If they actually only allowed top of the line breeders, they certify breeders that do not do the bare minimum of recommended testing. They certify breeders that are not trying to better the breed. This is a pet brokerage service and that should scare anyone looking to use them to find a puppy as they are making money by certifying breeders. Buyer beware they talk a good game but I would recommend you go to the breed club of the breed you are looking for for breeder recommendations not a website that is taking a % of the sale price. Yuck no better than Petland.

Caught a puppy mill red handed with sick dogs, showed them the evidence. They just kept making excuses, even after multiple people reported them. What a scam, just another puppy broker trying to make money. Research the breed you want and ask questions to find a reputable breeder yourself. This website is a joke. Do better.

Nothing more than a glorified "Lancasterpuppies.com" or breeder listing page. No different than any other puppy mill lister. I am sickened to see they only ask you to fill out a questionnaire (couldn't the breeder lie?) and ask you 10 questions on the phone by a girl that sounds 17 years old. That's not as thorough as a place like the AKC Breeder of Merit program where they do all of this AND inspect you--you can't lie. I can't believe the breeders featured on this site. I'd be embarrassed to be listed here. Nothing more than glorified brokers. Go to www.akc.org and search for Breeders of Merit by state and by breed--much safer--and accurate.

Good Dog is 100% legit. I used Good Dog to buy a Golden Retriever puppy through a breeder. I had a very positive experience. Good Dog helped me find a breeder with an available litter, helped me decide which transportation option was best, and they were so helpful throughout the entire process whenever I had questions.
We have been an Excellent rated purebred dog breeder with Good Dog since 2019. They have been wonderful for our business AND our customers have raved about the experience as well.
I purchased a puppy from one of their certified breeders and I had to admit him to the ICU the morning after we received him. He had severe parasites and 3 different bacterial infections that cost thousands of dollars to fix! Although the breeder did check in on his progress and is nice, did not even offer to help financially for something that she caused. Beware of this site! I would not consider my experience to be something that is a result of a responsible breeder. Although disgusting, I have attached an example of the parasites that came out of my puppy after his worming at the ICU visit. The vets were literally horrified!

A colleague reached out to GoodDog to see about listing with them. There is ZERO expertise in the "vetting" process. It's just some know-nothing intern type that googles your company and looks for any negative reviews, in this case, the reviews weren't even for the right company. Do your own research, and talk to the breeder, shelter, person, etc, for yourself. Gooddog.com is a scam of sorts, and they don't know anything about breeding practices that you couldn't find in a 10-second google search.
