I'm a huge fan of Goldstar. Why pay full price for tickets to all types of events (theater, social events, family shows, sporting events, etc), when one can pay discount prices on Goldstar. It's easy to use for multiple cities. I buy theater events for my nieces in Chicago and events for myself in Atlanta. Great customer service, easy to get my questions answered. Highly recommend the service!
Customer service rep was rude and people there don't put their customers first. Plus a service fee on top of the "discounted" ticket? It's better off buying through another source! No more business for them!

When I last checked Goldstar had more 1-star reviews than it does all other reviews combined.
I think that tells the story. What I dislike about Goldstar is the pop-up ads that do not go away and that I cannot close. They want me to sign in/join them. No thanks! That form of forced advertising does not work for me. Go away Goldstar and leave me alone.
I see that a 1-star review is labeled as "$#@!"
That's more generous that this annoying company deserves.

This would have been a really nice event (Knicks, MSG) but unfortunately we arrived to the event realizing that our group was sitting nowhere near each other and in fact were in completely different sections. We followed the directions posted on the website exactly as stated to use the link provided to sit as a group. There would be absolutely no reason for us to purchase these tickets if we could not enjoy it together. As stated on the site... "Also, you have the option of letting your friends buy their own tickets and sit with you. Just send them the special URL you get when you buy your tickets and the seats they buy will be grouped with yours." this however was not the case for us. This is not my first time purchasing tickets from this site and I am highly disappointed and embarrassed by the way things turned out after I recommended their services to my party. This will be the last time I use their services.

Most ticket suppliers/venues we work with do honor group seating requests like the one that was noted on your order. I used Goldstar events. The customer service is horrible. Buyer beware of the return policy. There is none yet they will not refund your money! No matter how much time you give them in advance. I bought Circus tickets and they had time to change the name at the venue but not enough time to request a refund. I find that just a little contradictory.
Hi Humanna! We have more flexibility in terms of refunds/credits and exchanges for some events than we do others. If e-tickets or vouchers are issued right after purchase, then those sales are considered final because members have those tickets in hand immediately. We have more flexibility for will-call events if the will-call list hasn't yet been sent to the box office for ticketing. In those cases, we can cancel orders or make exchanges freely. Once the will-list is in their hands, then we are required to pay them for all tickets sold for the show, even if those tickets go unused. We can often send name change requests at that point and some ticket suppliers will allow for exchanges. We do understand that unforeseen circumstances arise, and we always do what we can to assist in those situations.

I just bought some dinner theater tickets from Goldstar (this is the first time I've used this site) and after I paid and printed out the confirmation I noticed the tickets were for the wrong date. I contacted Goldstar through email, since they don't have a telephone contact number. I was very concerned and skeptical that I wouldn't hear back and would have a hassle stopping the charge on my credit card. To my amazement I had an email reply from Goldstar's customer service within minutes. My credit card charge was canceled and my new reservations with the correct date was made. This was the fastest and easiest customer service I've ever received. I will certainly use Goldstar in the future and recommend this site to friends.

This site if for venues and events NOT attendees. Do NOT purchase blind seats through this site. You will overpay for lousy seats. Instead identify what shows and venues are offering discounts then purchase assigned seats through other websites.

When you purchase tickets through our site, the actual seat assignments are made by the ticket supplier. You are always guaranteed to be seated in the section that you purchase, and any tickets purchased in a single transaction will be seated together. If you were seated outside of the allotted section, I do hope you contacted us at [email protected] to let us know about it. We are always happy to follow up with the ticket supplier if a member feels they were seated incorrectly. I can say that it is rare that our members are given seats outside of the purchased section, and most of our ticket suppliers are good about giving our members the best available seats. This is my second review as the first one wasn't so favorable but this one I am happy to say is from a satisfied customer. In the last couple of years they have gone out of their way to make their customers feel appreciated far from the days when they didn't feel that everyone had a voice. I recommend them highly as this is a wonderful opportunity for others to be able to see plays or go to events at half the cost. 5 Thumbs up Goldstar.

Terrible customer service. I am not someone who complains in general... but when a customer service rep can not help or lead you in the right direction and on top of it responds rudely, I will take the time out to tell others. I had tickets to a rained out Yankee game, and could not get straight answers. I was able to get straight to the point answers from Yankees' customer service in minutes.

I hate Goldstar, I was in the middle of making a purchase, the clock turned to 4PM and my order got canceled!.
When I tried re ordering the tickets no more shows were available anymore!
I guess 4pm was the UN ADVERTISED cut off hour, so rude to log me out of the order while filling in the credit card numbers! And I was no where near the 10 min limit to fill in an order.

Hi Lior, I'm sorry you weren't able to get those tickets you wanted. Every event listed on our site has an expiration date/time. This information is displayed on the checkout page for each event. Orders have to be completed by that time because once an event expires, our will-call list is automatically sent to the ticket supplier for ticketing. I used this site for the first time yesterday. I was skeptical. The tickets I was purchasing sold for $40 for a pair at the door, and they were $32 for the pair advanced purchase through the theater's website. I was able to purchase the pair of tickets for only $24 through goldstar. I received a receipt through my email and was able to print out the confirmation to take with me to the theater. When I arrived at the theater, my tickets were there and waiting for me as promised at the will call window. ZERO problems. I saved 8 bucks and would definitely use this site again. It's a FREE service. You can't beat it. It took less than 5 minutes to "become a member" (provide an email address and create a password).

Used it for the first time this week. Went to the will call window for the event. We showed our confirmation letter to the person. To our surprise we were told the event was sold out and they didn't have our reservation. Won't be using it again.

This is the greatest website ever. I see SO many shows on the cheap with this site. I haven't upgraded to their premium membership (because basic seems just fine) but sometimes I consider if just to see how much better it can be. A love it. And I can't wait for their emails so I can get ideas for what shows to see. You won't regret signing up for this.

Goldstar is a great resource for discounts to local events, shows, tours, you name it. Tickets on Goldstar are usually much cheaper than normal prices. I also think the website itself is well done... it's easy to use, straightforward, and well-designed. Love it~
