We are going to an event with our elderly parents and the seating is general admission. I asked Goldstar Customer Service if they could help in getting seats near the aisle or not many stair steps. They called the venue and were able to get seats near the aisle and that we could all seat together. I felt very well cared for! Thank you so much Goldstar Customer Service. Plus Goldstar has great deals to such a great variety of venues!
Red Velvet easy cancel is no longer easy.
App says easy cancel available but it triggers error message.

Losing money or getting greedy?
Buy tickets from your venue direct and know where you are sitting.
Goldstar does not care about its customers. They are only interested in making a quick buck.
Goldstar will not refund your money, so buyer beware.
Goldstar sells tickets that expire (such as to amusement parks) and once they do, they disavow accountability, especially when you ask for a refund.
Goldstar claims that they remind the ticket buyer to use the ticket before expiration. However, they are either inconsistent with this or do NOT send the reminder about the expiration.
Once they have taken your money, they will claim that they can't refund the money because they already paid the venue. However, this is not true because Goldstar must retain a portion from which they make a profit out of. At the very least, they can refund that percentage.
Goldstar can give store credit as a refund but this is only on a case by case basis. In other words, they are unfair and inconsistent in their business practices.
Goldstar's customer service is awful, they do not respond in "minutes" like they claim.
Honest and respectable businesses offer returns and credit on their services and products. For example, at a well-known online deals company, even if the deal expires, the dollar amount paid to that company does not expire.
Goldstar operates on a business model that is akin to Gift Cards when they first got popular. Buy a gift card, but if you don't use it, it will eventually expire. Customers would then forget to use the card and the store would have kept the money without having spent their resources to provide goods or services in return.
However, since 2009, under federal law, "gift cards cannot expire within five years from the date they were activated and generally limits inactivity fee on gift cards except in certain circumstances, such as if there has been no transaction for at least 12 months". Goldstar should learn from these lessons and improve their business model before they lost customers.
I hope Goldstar gets it together because they have shown themselves to be a selfish company with extremely poor customer relations.
I hate my experience with goldstar. I felt cheated on!
The seats where on forth floor and they were no actual theater seats. There were horribly made bar stools back of all the rows. In addition, my friends who bought the tickets with us were seated so far way. The whole promise was to be seated with my freinds and that didn't happened. I paid a good price of $69 to be seated very far, on dinky chairs and far far away from my freinds. Horrible experience and I won't buy any tickets from Goldstar anymore.
Usually when I tried to buy tickets on the app it takes multiple attempts before I'm able to complete a purchase. There always seems to be some step in the process that doesn't work. There's no customer service number and the email response time is very slow
I almost purchased tickets 3 days ago with this site, and decided to do some research, they have sent me reminder emails day and night for three days straight to buy their tickets, if they weren't a scam, they wouldn't be trying SO HARD to get me to buy tickets. I will NOT be using this site, word to the wise, ALWAYS check up on reviews before you buy, i learned this on cyber monday. And the non stop emails are pretty obvious. Also, check the 5 star rated reviews, if they are always short and indirect, then 99% of the time, someone who runs the scam wrote it.
My receipt clearly stated I paid VIP which would be section 11 or 13, also stated on reservation. The emailed tickets today are section 117. The event is Sat at MGM /Nitro Circus. There is no number to call and I sent an email.
I purchased bar crawl tickets for my friend and I, who was visiting Boston for the first time on Halloween. When I attempted to use the tickets at one of the establishment (Hard Rock Cafe) the guy at the door told me he works for Goldstar and have never seen a ticket like the one I had (which was print out). So I had to pay to get it. So I decided I would just contact Goldstar to rectify the problem. When I did get in contact with Goldstar they told me the tickets had to use before 9pm, which was not stated anywhere on the website when I original the purchased the tickets or on the printed tickets. If you like throwing your money away go this is the place for it. I WILL NEVER AGAIN USE THIS SITE.
Great customer service. I needed to make a change in my reservations and no problems. Also great values always received.

I ordered Knott's Berry Farm tickets that said they would we be emailed in 12 hours and I have not received them. I think it's crazy that they do not have a contact number and no one will return my e-mails. I live or of statue and today is the only day I have to use the tickets. Really hope they take care of this.
I bought tickets to Kings Hockey on Goldstar. They promised to send the tickets in an e-mail that could be downloaded. The tickets never showed up and I sent an e-mail to them asking for help an hour before the event and they didn't get back to me until the game was almost over. I have all my e-mails and can prove that I did not receive the tickets. Proof that I went to the venue to try and pick up the tickets at will call and e-mails showing the time I contacted them and the untimely response from them, I asked them to give me the date which they said they sent the tickets and they could not tell me and they refuse to refund my money or compensate me. Will never use Goldstar again
Hi Rita! Tickets for this game were emailed 48 hours before game time and were also available for download on your account at that time. We do state on the checkout page and in your purchase confirmation to contact us if you haven’t received the tickets within 2 days of the game. I see that you have been refunded for the purchase. A friend of mine told me about this site so I thought I would give it a look-see. They didn't have my venue, city or performer I was looking for. Pretty big name too so I was surprised. Some people might get a good deal, but I didn't even find my event so that was disappointing.

When in the process of ordering tickets, I saw Chicago, but I must have clicked on NY. I merrily went through the process of ordering never noticing the theater. I was totally red faced when I read the confirmation and saw the error. I immediately notified Goldstar and although initially they were not sure what they could do, they acted on my behalf and the tickets were taken off my credit card. While the ability to obtain tickets at a great price is the initial reason for using Goldstar it was great to have someone who could act as an advocate when you had a problem. This courtesy will keep me a customer forever. Thanks.

In the old days, one went to Union Square (or Times Square) for discount theater tickets. Goldstar has ended that for the better. They highlight a great range of arts events (and sporting and other events, too). With their discounts, I'm willing to check out a play or music new that I might be on the fence about... and I've enjoyed some great companies and events I would have missed. And their website is super easy to use.

Have you had to contact customer service for anything lately? You were probably met with hours on hold, a lot of "sorrys for the inconveniences" and ultimately little or no satisfaction. Not so with Goldstar! Simply put, these guys have THE BEST customer service and CSRs on the planet. Not only are there discounts great, on shows you really want to see, at top flight venues, but most times I purchase tickets they bend over backwards to contact the venues and accommodate my family members with special needs. Our aging parents are 84,93 and 99, and as you can imagine have great difficulties hearing and seeing, but they love theater and concerts. My wife and I try to get them out to shows at least once a week. Each and every time we purchase something from Goldstar their CSRs are nice, friendly, understanding, and are almost 100% successful in getting us seats where they can see and hear well. Also, because of their ages, many times we have bought tickets that we have had to cancel due to ill health, and again, with very few exceptions, Goldstar was able to credit us for the purchase, even when we had to cancel the same day. Every company should take a page from Goldstar's Customer Service Book!

I have been a member of Goldstar for several years and as a result I have been able to enjoy a wealth of entertainment activities at a reduced rate. I have seen countless plays, musicals, pops activities etc. I'm a Red Velvet member which brings added benefits... great seats, prompt service at a great value. The customer service is absolutely the best... the staff are service oriented and prompt, responsive and just nice folks. I have saved a ton of money by using Goldstar which has enabled me to attend numerous activities... great bang for you buck! I love checking out the "My tickets" section of their website because I love having an bunch of awesome activities to look forward to. Goldstar makes my day...

I love Goldstar. Honestly, I just love them. I've been a member for going on 10 years now, and I have always had incredible experiences with them. They have the most interesting, under-the-radar events as well as pricey, big-ticket items at reduced rates, and never, ever have I had a bad seat. The discounts are typically quite substantial, and as long as you don't have to sit right in the front row, Goldstar often offers terrific bargains.
More than just interesting events and good deals, however, I have been impressed with Goldstar's service. Recently I discovered that my Outlook calendars weren't syncing between my desktop and my mobile, and I double-booked myself. I emailed Goldstar with my dilemma, and they responded well within a day. I want to say it was a few hours.
No one likes service fees, so if Goldstar has a drawback, I'd say that was it. Even still, the service fees are usually reasonable and have never been so onerous to prevent me from buying tickets.
I don't know why more people don't know about and/or use Goldstar. It's a best-kept secret for people who like to attend cultural events, eat food, watch movies, take tours, etc, etc. etc. Goldstar is for people who like to "do stuff."

This company is a scam. If you buy a voucher from them you won't be able to check on the availability of your dates until after your purchase. When your date is not available, they pocket your money. DO NOT BUY VOUCHERS FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU ARE flexible with dates.
After many emails with customer service, they finally refunded the money.
I used to think Goldstar was pretty legit. Until recently. I purchased a pair of tickets via their site and 48 hours before the performance, they alerted me that they would not be fulfilling my ticket order. I asked them why all of a sudden the tickets I purchased were no longer available and they basically said 'too bad, it happens.' Not only that, but they did not offer me any sort of help getting the tickets for another date. So if you want to attend an event, with 40% confidence, you can book with them but then when they cancel on you, don't expect an ounce of help. Customer service couldn't even bother responding a second time to me. Will never use them again.

At first it was great, the tickets came at a great price. Then I asked for in exchange because I made a mistake on the ticket purchasing and they continued to tell me there was nothing they could do to help me. I will never use this app again. They only bring your hopes up to bring it down again. I do not recommend.
