I placed six orders. Three of them had at least one container that broke and leaked on other items. One had several containers that broke requiring the family to go to Katz's Deli to get food. After emailing a complaint I was offered a significant and fair credit which I will use at a later date.

I recently ordered from gold belly while home in Hawaii on quarantine. Expected my order to be shipped next day air. The order went out a day later than expected but said that it would be here the next day. Unfortunately tracking on it now tells me it will not be here for four days. I know the company plans on shipping perishable items with some cool packs, but I can't imagine what the state of my order will be in when I receive it after traveling for five days. Stale bagels and spoiled cream cheese :(. Biggest waste of money ever! And company is slow to respond to my customer service requests, haven't heard from them yet.
Update - they are reshipping order to me next week. Hopefully it will arrive in a more timely manner.

Born and raised an Alaskan. Love hunting and filling our freezer with moose, caribou, bison, salmon, and halibut to feed my family. With that being said, we've now ordered the large Cajun turducken with the cajun ham TWICE and am getting ready to order it again just to have on standby in the freezer. Delivered right on time to Alaskan, EVEN DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC! Everything was packaged perfectly and tasted even better. You won't regret ordering this for your family.

They have track your order function. This is misleading if not intentionally dishonest. It simply uses the estimated lead time the supplier/restaurant has entered in the system. If your order is has not arrived it tells you your order date and estimated delivery date. It was days past the estimated delivery date and we had to email the customer care group that had a estimated 72 hour turn around time. This is a high price service with no actual service or tracking software.
The sausages we ordered came right on time and in perfect condition. Most importantly, they are delicious! Best I've had since the ones my grandma used to get at a Polish deli on Chicago's South Side in the 1970s! My husband LOVES them, so much more flavorful than anything we can get in SoCal. Fantastic!

Such a nice company... amazing food, fast and perfectly packed delivery and wonderful customer service. The cupcakes were TDF, the bakery tiramisu A+ and the bacon absolutely delicious. Can't wait for the pizza coming next!

Answer: They aren't necessarily a scam, but very poor customer service policies. If anything goes wrong with your order, like it did with mine, they just blocked me from their Facebook page so I couldn't leave a review. It's just luck if your order arrives and looks as you would expect and if it doesn't you are out of luck. Just contact local bakeries or restaurants and have them deliver for you, no reason to pay Goldbelly and have a third party who cares nothing about your order throw it around in the back of their truck and deliver it trashed. Goldbelly is unscrupulous and a big risk of wasted money.
