My Overnight order was two days late. But Goldbelly refunded my shipping. My customer service experience was outstanding!
The bagels are fresh and individually wrapped. The cream cheese was terrific and the delivery was right on time. Living on the Gulf Coast, but spending time in New York, I have enjoyed the bagels there for years.
The cake arrived on time and In Perfect condition. It was as beautiful as the ad photos. Totally satisfied customer!
The variety is amazing! Pricing is great. And since I live in rural Utah, I fully expected the shipment of bagels and smoked fish to take a day longer than indicated. But nope, I placed an order late Monday afternoon mountain time and received the shipment on Wednesday afternoon with everything in perfect condition. So, so happy!.

Gold belly was fine. I was not real happy with the lobster. It was not sweet or succulent. I ate it the day it arrived. Frankly, it had little or no taste to it for $100 (including S&H). I am familiar w/lobster and Maine lobster. Sorry, am being honest.

Answer: They aren't necessarily a scam, but very poor customer service policies. If anything goes wrong with your order, like it did with mine, they just blocked me from their Facebook page so I couldn't leave a review. It's just luck if your order arrives and looks as you would expect and if it doesn't you are out of luck. Just contact local bakeries or restaurants and have them deliver for you, no reason to pay Goldbelly and have a third party who cares nothing about your order throw it around in the back of their truck and deliver it trashed. Goldbelly is unscrupulous and a big risk of wasted money.
