I've used GoDaddy for over 10 years and have been pretty happy with their service. I think their prices are a little higher than others, but it's too much hassle to move all my domains to a different provider. I would say that there upsells are a little annoying, if you only need a domain then there are probably better alternatives, but if you need more of a one-stop-shop for domain, hosting, emails then they are probably a good choice being an established company, if you don't mind paying a little more.

Hired GoDaddy Web designers back in November 2021 and 3 months later the website is still dead with major bugs. The Designers have pasesed it off to Marketing with no follow up with me. $2000. 00 and a website that can't go live because it doesnt load, the design isnt consistent and they did not use the pictures and verbiage I uploaded to the library they sent me. They had guarenteed a beautiful working site in 6 weeks. Im now contacting their leadership for a refund.

Godaddy domain auctions are rigged in favor of the seller. After you put in a bid (which binds you as a buyer), the seller can use that bid as a guaranteed minimum to start an auction to seek higher bids. All you do is put the domain into play and help the seller adverise it. Avoid!

I've been with Godaddy since early 2000. I have a hosting account and 7 domains.
There has been issues over the years, some were frustrating but they were always resolved in a way that made me stay with Godaddy, up until now.
Godaddy conducted a hosting migration (voluntarily on their behalf, I did not ask for it), and after finishing their "migration" Jan 14,2022, they completely wrecked my websites, as if they shoveled all the files and threw them in the new hosting, after contacting them they threw the ball in my lap and told me that "My Developer" should do this n that. My websites went down, some with no files or information. I've been contacting them ever since Jan 14 (My websites are still down), I tried fixing what I can from my end, as I do not have a developer and I do not want to hire an expert from Godaddy (no sir!), but every error that needs Godaddy's "touch" will take 72 for them to get back to me, and they do not fix it! And I have to file another ticket for another team to give me the buzzer again!). Four of my domains have been offline now for over a week! And I'm literally living in Goodaddy chat room, explaining my case all over again for every single agent I chat with (some where really nice and resourceful though). I Can't believe this Godaddy "Big Corporate" attitude, they do not care at all about customers, a customer is just a number to them (a number that has a credit card $). They are cornering me to pay them to fix my problem, and I do not want that. I only want them to bring my websites back online and then I am leaving Godaddy for good.
(Unfortunately no option for a NO Star Rating)

I had a pretty good experience, although the service was not outstanding, it was quite reasonable for the cost. If asked if I will continue to use it, the answer is yes, because it fits my current financial situation

If you read some of the so called "positive" reviews about Godaddy, you immediately see that they have been written by shills who most likely work for Godaddy's marketing department. In my opinion it is a greedy, deceptive and dishonest company on every level. Avoid it like fire.

Fraud warning!

Got account with them as I needed a domain. Their website suggested me 2 step verification so I did. The very next login, I was asked for 6 digit pin code from GoDaddy mobile app. Unfortunately such an app doesn't exist.
I rang the customer services. The agent asked me for a code from the mobile app... When I ask, how do I get that app? He said, you can't cause there is no app
So they said, they wouldn't help me and just give me a link to not working change request website.
Sounds like a Scammers with a sense of humor to me. They are charging me and I can't do nothing but block them from my PayPal...

I have been a Godaddy's customer for many years. I pay them for hosting, backups, and many more products. I host my clients' websites and emails with Godaddy.
A week ago I reached out to Goddady support to troubleshoot a webmail issue and while they fixed the issue they deleted my client's emails contacts by mistake. I called them back to report the contact issue, and since then they have not been able to recover the email contacts of my client. Godaddy's negligence has cost me to lose a client. Godaddy just said they can't recover the data they deleted. This is ridiculous, THEY JUST DONT CARE ABOUT A CLIENT BECAUSE THEY HAVE SO MANY. GODADDY, I NEED THAT FIX WHAT YOU BROKE AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!

I transferred my domain away from go-daddy 3 days before it was due to expire. To discover they have 7-10 day domain transfer policy. I made an enquiry after 10 days and they told me I would have to pay the 1 year renewal in order for them to help me resolve the domain transfer problem!? Basically blackmail.

Here is my experience with GoDaddy which I think is substandard company.
1. They charged me for domain-club even though I called their rep and asked to discontinue the service.
2. I was receiving endless marketing calls from them trying to sell some products or services that were useless to me.
3. They shut down my website which was hosted on their servers claiming that I had excessive traffic. When I requested copies of my traffic logs they said that logs are not available:-)
4. Do not fall for low domain registration prices, without reading small print. The fist year will pricing is a bait, but when you try to renew you will get "raped" by some of the highest prices on the market

My advice - don't do business with low life companies!

So, I have been with GoDaddy company for many years and I have found the fees to be quite reasonable for the quality of the service that I receive. The automatic renewal feature kind of "snuck up" on me one year, but a phone call to a real live support person straightened it all out to my satisfaction. As one who isn't all that tech savvy, I'm impressed when a service like this can make things easy for me to use and can recommend it to anyone!

I have had godaddy domain for 7 years, I got a email about a new service they have called godaddy payments. I thought i would try it out, so i signed up was approved right away. I moved my website to godaddy so I could offer these new payment method to my customers. I could not get the new payment to connect and work. So i contacted customer support on chat. The told me i had to upgrade to the most expensive package they had for the payments to work, so i did that. It did not work, so chat told me to wait 24 hours and it would connect all by itself. That did not happen, so now i am on chat again, and am told that there was a coding problem and it would be fixed in a few hours. So the next day its still not fixed, so back to customer support on chat, rhey told me I had to reapply all over again for godaddy payments and it would take another 24 hours. Well after 24 hours it still did not work, so again on chat, i was told it would be 48 hours not 24. So, now its day 4, and it still does not workl So I asked for a refund for a ecommerce site that I could not take payments. I was told it would be fixed right away, and finally was. I added some items to the new store, and had one sale. Within 10 minutes they sent me a email and shut down the payments, when i asked why, i got no answer, i was told they did not know why. So again i asked for a refund, and was told no refund because it had been more than 48 hours since i upgraded. Customer service strung me along until they did not have to refund, each day they lied over and over. This is the worst customer service i have ever seen If i could leave 0 stars I would. I would advise anyone to run as fast as you can away from this company

Godaddy is a totally fraud company. They steal domains of clients & sell to others at high prices. I registered my domain with my landline no., My customer No. Is "*******" & Active Email is "*******@gmail.com". Before some months I had opened my account without any OTP. But now without my permission they enabled otp authentication on my landline no., which is not possible to receive OTP on landline no. And they are not responding to my any email. They captured my domain. I sent notices also but didn't get any response. As per my notice Now I am eligible to fill multiple cases in multiple courts like consumer, civil, criminal etc. And also eligible for recovery of my losses. First I am filling a case in the National Consumer Forum on the next working day.

I called to enquire 4 days ago what services they offer to help me have better SEO results. I spoke to Shivam in India, and he was adamant to unlock my Domain.
So he coerced me into putting my domain into transfer mode to Godaddy. They denied having it at first, even though WHOIS and Google Support confirmed Godaddy had my Domain.
In between denying this there different advisers told me how to delete my GoDaddy account.

Then to now fix it now that they found my domain on their system i had to signup to them.
Meanwhile, now my emails and website dont work as they messed up my setup. So now im daily having to battle with their staff who are not all tech savy as the next one. So the advice i get is irractic.

The funny thing is im not tech savy when it comes to websites, hence my contact to them. As my setup was basic but now im having to learn backoffice technical stuff to fix it.

No complaints process and stringent ressolution services.

I definitely would not recommend Godaddy to anyone!

Very Disappointed

At the time of signing for domain, I asked the rep that I dont want any later surprises so give me final price inclusive of every feature required for beginner URL. After 15 days they ask me to pay for SSL and after 10 months ask me to pay for email. Usually all domain hosting service at least provide one email free of cost but GoDaddy is here to rip off customers and extort money. Stay away from them

Go Daddy sucks

I paid for GoDaddy to build my website, I had problems with them from the begging, they would not do what i ask so many times it was sick. For example I wanted my web info on the bottom of every page multiple ticks and was still not done. There customer service is the worst I have ever seen. When i called I was on hold for at least an hour plus and when i did get throw it was another hour talking with them so they would make the changes i ask four from day one. Six months into the project site was still not done, They could not finish the equipment page even though i sent them a website with exactly what i wanted over and over they needed more clarification and i never change one thing with what I wanted from day one. There manager jessie called me and he was no help at all worst manager ever. Stay away from this company. Go with anyone else! Nothing but problems with this company! There were so many other problems with pictures wording and them just getting thing done in a timely manor.
