Don't trust GoDaddy

Been with GoDaddy for many years, products have been OK though they always make you buy more than you expect, the essentials always needing to be added. In July they stopped email services not using Outlook and forced everyone onto Outlook. My company uses Apple and email got lost and the service did not work. GoDaddy refuses to refund having broken the contract and caused my company a lot of headache, cost and concern. We moved to one.com which is much better, both in terms of service and flexibility.

Took me two hours just to be able to bid on an expired domain and I have been with them for years, support person constantly had to check with someone else and had no idea of what to do. I blame that on their training or lack thereof.

I contracted with Go Daddy to design my website. All they had to do was copy my previous published website. I WAS TOLD NOT A PROBLEM. We can do it all. Now through the drafts and hours on the phone with them. They have come back with a website that does not do what we need, a website that has a different language in spots. They made changes to the final draft that was not approved by me and that changed the whole set up of our online store. When I called to speak with them about it, there was nobody to speak with and answer any of my questions. They were trying to sell me a Marketing package for when I needed help with the website that was suppose to have 24 hour service. If it is 24 hour service HOW COME THERE IS NOBODY TO SPEAK WITH THAT CAN ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. All I am being told is call back tomorrow. So everyone please think twice before buying any of there packages. They just don't seem to care. All they want is your money. They will OVER PROMISE AND UNDER DELIVER. That should be there new slogan. Can anybody give me any suggestions for a new website designer?

Horrible Service

DO NOT use Godaddy for any website design needs. Everything is extremely laggy. I think they try to make it easy, but in reality you change a single layout feature and it completely ruins the whole website. 10 minutes of production just leads to an hour of fixing your site.

Go Daddy sucks

I am definitely cancelling my subscription, not over reacting but this is honestly the worse service ever provided in my life, there is no help center you have to hire someone for help the dashboard is not clear and concise instead it just bombards you with things you can buy. I would give negative stars if I could.

I was suddenly charged unjustly for a renewal of website domain which I have purchased 2 years ago and requested for a refund. Hence, I contacted customer service and besides apologising repeatedly, he was not helpful in understanding my issue. More importantly, there is not space on the website to share my feedback other than the chat.

Scam people in their salesteam

I'm an long time customer but notice they time and time try to cheat me, this was the end I think when buying their bigger package with ssl, mail, domains, hosting pretty much eveything they got for a high price and long term contract. Found out they didn't provide me with what I was expecting when took the issue upp they was either u pay or pay no responsibility at all for false advertisements or customer service.

Can't recommend anyone to be their customer

Took my money and did nothing with the site

Every time I spoke with the persons in charge of my site about all the things that needed to be change before launching the site was a waste of time. They never took proper notes as to what needed to be changed and updated. Next time we spoke nothing had been done the way we had discussed.
This when on and on until I got tired of getting passed around from one Rep.to the next and complained so many time and nothing was done.
It felt as if people were in another planet and were speaking a different language.
I took my loses and never posted the site. No one called me to try to work with me even after I gave up and wrote a complaint about how dissatisfied I was. There's no care for the customer. Nice people but no customer satisfaction guaranteed for this company.

Their entire staff is very questionable. If you experience what I experienced your feel like you're in another dimension and no one understands what the previous person did or didn't do and why.
Complete waste of my time and money.

They are the effing worst for support and pricing. I've been trying to gain access to my account for 4 days now and it is still unresolved. Their tech people say they'll send me an email with info I need to fill out but they never send it. I have phoned them several times and it always the same story. If corporate would actually get their heads out of their asses and do their job, I would consider keeping my account with the company. As soon as this matter is resolved, I'm going to cancel my account and go with WIX or Shopify. I would never recommend GoDaddy to anyone.

I wanted to share my business on Godaddy because everyone said it was a good way to start. I didn't realize that this business is full of thieves. A few weeks ago I was charged 299 dollars for one. I called and asked if I could go on a monthly plan and get a partial refund. They gave it to me, BUT they charged me the same day the same amount as before. I asked for a refund for the second charge. They told me that they only charged me once. I showed them the evidence, they continued to deny the charges.

Looking through my statement again today, I noticed that they charged me 3 TIMES in a week and a half. I threatened to discontinue my website unless they gave me my money back, but they aren't budging.

HOSTING REFUND
July 28, 2022

I cancelled my hosting (yearly) and told them that I wanted 1 month of hosting and then for it to cancel.

They never cancelled and it just carried on, unfortunately I didn't notice as i was too busy (mum dying of cancer) and they continued to take money out.

Now they deny i had that conversation and only refunded 1 month. They can clearly see the hosting has not been used.
This is shocking, very disappointing service.

After GoDaddy move the Webmail to Microsoft office 365, it became a mess, I'm not able to send emails anymore without delete the old accounts and If I delete I will loose everything.
I've been trying to contact customer service but they don't resolve my issues after hours on hold.

I would avoid godaddy for everything except domain names. We bought a service "Website With Marketing"
The website looked as though it had been thrown together by a child having a tantrum... it was diabolical.

I cancelled and expected a refund. None was forthcoming, I was told that it was because we were outside their refund period., The website didn't appear until well after the refund deadline.

I am absolutely disgusted with the way this giant corporation thinks it can do as it pleases. This is not the end of the matter either.

Lost use of our emails and website after reporting a hacker using our godaddy office 365 emails. We are now unable to renew our subscription, because despite 3 attempts to prove our identity ( which they claim is a 72 hour turn around- lies!) they will not allow us to reset the passwords to our accounts. Our business is being affected and they do not care. There is not a complaint procedure and there is no way to appeal or get actual help. Try calling their service phone number and count how many times you get hung up on.

Terrible, The Worst

My account was hacked. After several weeks of calls, emails, and online chats, all any worker I spoke with at GoDaddy could tell me was to fill out a form. Well, I did. Over and over. Then a few days would go by with no response. I would contact them again—same cycle. My account is still currently under control of hackers. It is insane. I asked them to close the account and delete the information. I proved who I was. Their response, you have to login to your account do delete it. I CAN'T LOGIN. I am still dumbfounded.
