So, this is how it went down for me. I purchased a domain, right! Cool all excited and stuff. Then realized at the end after I already purchased the last peice of the domain name was spelled incorrectly. So, now I'm like this is great! Right, I'm brand new at doing anything like this. So, I literally go through the ringer on trying to get a refund. They say the quickest way is have store credit. I'm like sure. So, what happens is when I try it all over again they can't give me the domain or any domain that isn't taken at the same price. So, I tell the refund my money back on my card. Now I have to wait 3 to 5 day until it's there. So, now it's got to be back into my bank account. I pick another one, nope can't get the same deal. Their saying since I have already purchased one that any deal their offering doesn't apply to me. Wait, what, why, I technically didn't if I got a refund. I didn't purchase anything. Remember I got a refund so because of that. Nope no deal for me. Those people over there are ridiculous! Different domain name and all. I even deleted my account. Now I'm gonna have to use another name or something! Idk but I am f******* pissed off! Thanks
I switched out credit cards on our account and I kept having domains not renew emails not renewing they said we have to log in and independently click on every single item so it will automatically go to the new card. I asked them are they out of their mind I put a new card on file. We shouldn't have to do that.
I have been Godaddy user since 2005. Multiple web hostings and email accounts. Lately they outsourced their email services to Microsoft. They forced my company to purchase new Version of Microsoft Outlook, several attempts to have all my emails back and constant issues with email. Worst part- customer service! Called today and was told that I will receive guides ho to set up en email. Received them and the same case- NO HELP. What the point to pay Godaddy for the outsourced services instead of paying directly and with horrible customer service to buy any services from Godaddy? Working now of transition to different web hosting and email provider.
My server was changed without prior informing me, subsequently my server was down, called and support person said it was now fine. 24 hours later and l0 phone calls from clients unable to book, I called again and the problem was solved.
I pay for 40 hours of SEO monthly, have multiple websites 19 years with godaddy, I spend plenty of money with Godaddy services regularly and expect quality service, this blunder has cost me standing with google, waste of my time and effort all due to lack of honesty by it's employee. What should Godaddy do in order to make this right other than say we are sorry this happen.
Their email servers are always down on a regular basis. When you go to tech support they will waste your time asking you to check everything while never acknowledging it is a problem on their backend.
3 days waiting on support without ever speaking to anyone huge waste of time. This was just some non hosting related questions but still 3 days and no one can answer.
If this would have been my web server having an issue and the issue wouldn't allow me connection to fix I would have really been peeved. Or hardware issue which I can't fix remotely anyway, this disturbing.
All I going to say is that I dealt with them almost 10 years ago and this was the first time since. They still have not gotten their act together.
The sad thing is the people who have absolutely no idea whats really going on are lured to this companny because they have heard the name somewhere over the years and they don't know any better.
Any new people to the web world reading this, GoDaddy is one of the worst hosting companies out there. HostGator A pretty close runner up.
There are many hosting companies that have much better pricing and resources, better maintained and optimized servers, more knowledgable in their field, and much better and faster support.
Anyway, GoDaddy needs to get the comany in order.
Go Daddy has plunged in my estimation to a 1. For two days I've attempted to get a human being on the phone to renew only one product -- not the several products they email me are up for auto renewal. There is no completion of the process of updating my payment method -- the same method for the last two decades but new "expiration date", they have not called me as requested, the bot seems clueless.
And like so many report re Vrbo that also has millions of customers, GoDaddy will simply drop you -- this after taking many hundreds or thousands of dollars from you. They will simply END the interaction.
I'm "old school" and alienated by the overpowering money grabber overtones.
Avoid this company for establishing and renewing domain names. They now have an opt-out requirement rather than opt-in for automatic renewal. When I went to renew this year, they have a deceptive tab that moves you to a window that gives you no option for editing the term of renewal and it automatically enrolls you in auto renewal, hiding that fact in a terms of agreement link that no one ever clicks on. Then, when you try to correct the problem with on-line chat, it acts as if they don't understand what you want, and when you go to talk to them on the phone, you end up on hold for 45 minutes.
Awful company, spoke to Nongam and Sagan on Live Chat and they are refusing to refund an auto renewal for an unused domain which was not authorised to be charged to my card, when I am cancelling well within my 14 day statutory right as a UK consumer. Their own contract states that as a UK consumer I have 14 days to cancel products and services ordered from GoDaddy, yet they are insisting that a refund is not possible.
As per the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, clauses 29, 30, 31 and 32, they are currently breaking UK law by refusing to honour my statutory right to 14 day cancellation as a UK customer. Trustpilot, please investigate this, consumers need to be protected from this horrific level of illegal malpractice.
And if you're thinking of getting a domain from GoDaddy, stay WELL clear. They will keep your card details on file and extract money from you years down the line against your will, then refuse to pay it back when no services have been provided. Absolutely disgusting.

GoDaddy says they have 24/7 customer support. Not true. Their servers are slooowwww as well. GoDaddy seems like a good deal, but you get why you pay for.
I wanted to edit my customers DNS nameservers and was told I needed to wait 24 hours for a 2-factor authentication with my phone number. It did not work after 30 hours, so I called again and was told it's 72 hours, not 24... nobody there could help me edit the DNS records without the 2-factor auth. My customers business will be down for 72 hours.
I was a customer of Godaddy for years, overnight, my whole account disappeared and I could not access it, I lost my email and everything that goes with it. I asked customer care what is happening, it is now over a month I get nothing from their side but requesting copies of my ID. The worse part is that someone now wants to sell me back my domain! In general, Godaddy is trash from top to bottom and in every aspect, I do not recommend it to anyone, not even my enemies!
Waited an additional 45 minutes online after 30 minutes in chat. They wouldn't refund a product even though I didn't use it. Instead wanted to issue a store credit. Guessing GoDaddy must be desperate to keep my money. Since they have outsourced their call centre service has drastically declined. Why don't they start supporting jobs in their country of origin? It really frustrates me how they operate globally but outsource services to save money.

This must be the biggest SCAM I every had. If you read this review and still get scammed, it would really be a shame that you fell for their big name.
Never ever make a mistake buying a domain from Godaddy, They are thieves and can digest your premium domain, I have a premium domain on my business website with massive SEO traffic on it, I had invested Thousands of $ in 3 years in regard to SEO of that domain, the domain is under my ownership since 2019 and out of the blue I got an email that my website is under some malware attack and we are suspending your domain.
I had a word with the support and they assured me that you can access to your domain within 72 hours. I got another email after 72 hours that we have permanently deleted your domain without any reason and justification.
They have pathetic customer support, they don't respond on chat and on call. One of the worst companies I have ever encountered.
I am a domain collector and moving all my 100s domains to a better company, I can't risk my domains with such an unworthy company.
Customer service is horrid. Unless you like chatting with bots that cannot handle simple tasks. Bumped off phone call after waiting hours. Bumped off of chat too. Email issues with their system have gotten worse. Customer service has gotten worse and worse over the years and if you can find a human, they want to sell you products more than solve problems.
Three years ago I opted to secure a domain name for my business with GoDaddy. However, they signed me up for web hosting when I already had a secure site host elsewhere. I tried to cancel this GoDaddy "managed hosting service" that I have never used, but was given the complete run-around with inaccurate responses by their customer service. When I asked for a refund on a pre-paid annual hosting plan that I canceled, I was told "Yes, we can see you've never used it, but then why didn't you tell us?" While part of this is my fault for not checking exactly why I was being charged, the "customer is wrong" attitude and refusal to refund pre-paid services (that I let them know I am not using, nor ever will) seems unethical. And, if you do get a CS person, be prepared to be on the line/chat/text for over an hour with absolutely no resolution to your problem. Stay away is my advice.
Customer service is horrible. I canceled my subscription 5 months ago and they keep charging me. I have called for months now, spent over 20 hrs on hold waiting and can't get anything done. They say they will have the dept call me back and they never do. I ask for a manager and they are never available, say will have one call me back, but never get the call. Stay away from this horrible company. I have called 8 times now and still can't get this handled.
Amongst the worst customer service ever! Charge for things where service is not provided, waste time on calls to customer service that forever to answer and then a disconnected without a result. All emails from them are "donotreply" emails. CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT EXIST.
Godaddy charged me a domain renewal fee two times, and it took them two weeks to restore my domain due to some system issue.

Answer: Do not use this company. Go daddy excessive fees, will keep adding fees claiming lack of security, and also has a policy that will ask for private information such as passport, license if you ever change your phone number even though they will talk to you on the phone.
