Mitch, the salesman and Ed who serviced our house were very nice and knowledgeable. Ed was up front about different services and helped me decided what I needed and what I probably wouldn't need so I could save some money. I was very appreciative he was that honest.
Our tech was great. He explained what he was going to do before starting the service. He was very thorough and friendly. He was calm when our dog barked and growled at him. We look forward to seeing him again.
Please if you are on the fence about what pest company to use go ahead and chose another one. They dont do will with getting rid of pests. We have had to have a reservice every time. Its like they are daluting their products to save money. They dont provide sticky traps like every other pest company for the creatures that do servive. Their prices are way to much for what little they do. I cant want for my contract to be up so I can cancel!
I was approached by an aggressive and deceitful door-to-door salesperson from Aptive Environmental on May 9th, 2022. I signed up for quarterly applications for their pest control services through an 18-month contract. They completed 5 applications within the first 7 months of contract initiation. In January 2023 once they attempted to schedule a 6th application within 9 months of contract start date, this is when I noticed that they were coming too frequently (less than 60 days apart, on average). I reached out to them on January 23 2023, asking why they were coming so frequently. They offered to postpone the 6th application by a few weeks. I then asked for a refund for the 4 applications where they broke the terms of the contract. They denied my request.
The contract indicates 6-7 treatments within 18 months. This implies a quarterly frequency, not a bi-monthly frequency which is what they were following. The contract further states treatments are performed 60-100 days apart. On multiple instances the applications occurred UNDER 60 days apart. I missed out on a full season's worth of applications because they were on pace to complete all 7 applications well within 365 days.
Note this is a company with a history of defrauding customers (see Google).
I was told when I re-signed up for Active that it would be on a quarterly cycle. Meanwhile, I getting screwed at $160.00 mo and nobody is calling me back. I reached out months ago and got a credit since they noticed the mix up but it started again with a monthly billing cycle that I NEVER AGREED TO (unless I was lied to which is what I think happened). Guess it is time to file a complaint and lawsuit... sucks because their techs are decent but their billing is informative, unresponsive, and inaccurate from what I had agreed to when they came door to door. DO NOT FALL INTO THEIR TRAP!
I just observed an employee of Aptive spraying everything (shrubs, flowers, lawn,etc.) with a pesticide in the yard next door. The employee told me it was for insect prevention. Prevention for what? The only time a pesticide should be used is when there is a specific pesticide problem. This harmful process eliminates beneficial insects that kill harmful insects and pollinators that pollinate 84% of our food supply.
They use aggressive tactics to get folks to sign up for services that extend upwards to 6 months worth of payments. Very hard to cancel.
That's an oxymoron for this company. The customer service is nonexistent. Avoid avoid avoid. They made it a marathon in persistence and patience to cancel my service.

Beware signing up with Aptive. They stress that you can cancel any time but don't mention the high penalties for doing so. If you are not sure you want to be paying them for 18 months, look for someone else.
I signed up for a 2 year contract to control insects around my home. I'm convinced they used insect food because my spider issue only got worse after every treatment. I would call and have them return for additional treatments but it made no difference. I sold my home and moved to a condo where all pest control is taken care of by the HOA so I no longer need their services. When I called to cancel I was told I still had two treatments left and I had to pay a $199 early cancellation fee even though I sold the house and couldn't possibly use it. I understand I signed a contract, but there is what you are legally allowed to do and what as a decent human you should do. Their service was subpar to say the least and they have no compassion and care only about squeezing every penny out of you. I paid the $199 but as I promised, I'll be posting reviews of their horrible business practices. Beware.
Thank you Bradford for the most excellent care and coverage you continue to show while taking GREAT care of my property while managing the bugs and insect issues we have especially during certain times of the year. I am a VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER! Aptive is WONDERFUL!
Aptive is very $#*! hole service provide to us, we make 1 year service, and they are doing $#*!ing $#*! service. Not cleaning wasp nest or anything, if they do not have equipment, why $#*! hole takes service money from us.

Solution which Lead me to believe that they expected me to pay
Them forever. I'm so glad I figured it out after almost a year of service.
We moved into a new community and Aptive signed a bunch of the folks in my neighborhood. They made it sound like we were getting a deal. My sister has used them for a few years so I thought we would try them. They don't explain everything up front. I was told we would have 4-5 visits per year but would only pay $179 quarterly. After the 5th visit in a row where they charged the $179, I called them. They charge that each time they come, I told them I wanted to cancel and had to pay $199 to get out of the contract which they never sent me until I called them, I would not recommend this business to anyone.
I opened an account for pest control services with a customer service agent who told me I was signing up for "flea and rodent" services. My first appointment was cancelled abruptly after I had waited all morning, and I had to contact the company to reschedule. When they did come, they did not provide "flea and rodent services." They only sprayed for different insects. I reached out to the company to complain, so they rescheduled other technicians, who did some of what they were supposed to, including laying traps to check for next time.
However, on my second appointment, the technician had no idea he was supposed to be treating for fleas and rodents. He also told me that the package I believed I had purchased was no longer offered by the company. He was not aware that he was supposed to check traps, and he did not perform any "flea and rodent" services. The receipts I received via email did not list any flea or rodent services either.
When I reached out to the company, they said they had not bothered to put "flea and rodent" services on the notes for the technician, and wanted to schedule another time for someone to come out. I said no - I wanted to close my account and cancel services with them, because I am tired of waiting for technicians, not getting the services I ordered, and needing to chase down the company's customer service department every single time.
They told me I need to pay a "cancellation fee" of $199. I find this unacceptable - I am paying two hundred dollars for the privilege of no longer paying for a service that is not the one I signed up for? I just want my account closed so I no longer have to deal with them.
We signed up about a year and a half ago to try and control a tick issue we were having in our yard.
8 treatments later we still have a tick issue.
I had much better luck using tractor supply livestock spray on my yard at a small fraction of the price...
Called today to cancel their ineffective service, they want $199 as an early cancellation fee.
Has been a total waste of money, do not recommend
I don't normally leave reviews, but this was such a terrible experience that I felt the need to share. The sign-up and first treatment went great. Zero issues. For the second treatment, I got stood up twice - Aptive just no-showed. When someone finally showed up (try #3), I got zero notification that they were headed my way. Once they arrived, they were onsite less than 5 minutes. I know because my Ring doorbell caught the tech's movement. I had another treatment today and same thing - the guy was here less than 5 minutes. No way you can provide quality treatment in that amount of time, especially for what I'm paying them. The worst part is instead of offering any refund (they did offer $10 off the first time... big whoop), they offer to send someone else out. No, thank you! Stay away from Aptive!
Be Careful with this company! Deceitful! Trick you getting in to contract by giving you false details! Once you sign the contract they will show you their real face. I would have given zero or negative rating if there was an option.
I have not seen such an unethical company like Aptive Environmental. Their service is very sloppy. In fact, after the treatment pest activity has increased. Also, person who did the service did such a sloppy job, that I have to show him what all places he missed to clean the webs and apply pest control products(though they were in front of our eyes). Don't ever. Ever... ever... ever... signup with this company.
THEY CAME TO OUR DEVELOPMENT WAYED THE 275.00 FOR SOME BUT NOT ALL SOME OF MY NEIGHBORS ONLY PAY 121.00 PER MONTH AND THEY ARE CHARGING ME 168.00 PER MONTH.
THEY DONT SPRAY MY GARAGE BUT THEY PUT DOWN THESES LITTLE CARDBOARD BOXES.
I DONT THINK THEY DO A VERY GOOD JOB.
Answer: My experience was the exact opposite of these. Everyone I've dealt with was very courteous and polite. They arrived on time, did exactly as they promised, and I have absolutely no complaints or reservations about continuing my service with them.
Answer: Yes, they are proactive in protecting honey bees! I had a large bee colony under my shed that I had removed from a bee remover/cultivator company. Aptive treatment actually occurred a few days after their removal and tech informed me that Aptive does not have appropriate licensing for bee removal, therefore they leave that to bee professionals.
