I have used a number of sniping programs over the years, both free and paid for, and Gixen is by far the best one I have used in terms of simplicity, safety and reliability.
I have used the program for several years now and it has NEVER let me down. I also pay for the backup mirror, which just gives you added confidence, at a low price. Gixen always keeps you in touch regarding issues, updates, or problems with Ebay that needs attention. I have no issues regarding the security of this site.

I just checked the history section within my Gixen account - and it started in 2014 / with 259 bids placed so far. Since then I'd never had to care about getting my bids set in time. Gixen just did its job perfectly. One of my favourite features is the "group" feature: whenever I need a certain item, I bundle all available ebay auctions in a group, lean back and let Gixen do the job. As soon as one auction within this group for this item ended successfully for me, the other listed auctions will be set to rest automatically. And as I have NEVER experienced any issues with Gixen's service at all, I give it a 5 star rating - would even give 10 stars.

I have been using gixen.com for a couple of years now. I am paying for the mirror service as well.
My experience has been nothing but positive. The ability to create bidding groups is one of my favourites. You add a number of the same articles on eBay to a group and set your maximum you want to spend and the site bids for you in the last seconds of every item in the group until you run out or win. If you win one of them the site cancels the rest of the bids so you don't end up wit several items.
Also, I find that Gixen keeps me from bidding more than I am willing to pay. When I watch auctions myself I am always tempted to raise my maximum. Now I just set what I think is right and Gixen sends me a mail with the result.
I have won several very good deals thanks to them.
I have found no caveats. To me it is really a no-brainer.
To me they are totally trustworthy. I have given the site my eBay password and I feel confident about that.

More than a decade ago I was keen to find a service which could help me with winning ebay auctions in several ways: I wanted to place bids during my sleeping hours, and I wanted to make sure I would not bid higher than my initial self-imposed limit for any particular auction. Gixen allowed me to to exactly this, and without software installation on my computer. You just have to enter the ebay auction number & your max bid and that it. Fire & forget. During recent years there have been many options added (eg for multiple snipes). The service provided is excellent, communication to customers is always very friendly. The 6$ annual subscription rate for the premium service is so well spent, it might pay back with the first auction you win! I personally recommend Gixen highly!

Gixen hilft mir seit mehr als 10 Jahren bei Auktionen wenig zu bezahlen und mein selbstgesetztes Limit für einen bestimmten Artikel nicht zu überschreiten. Es ist extrem einfach zu benutzen, und zahlte sich schon bei der ersten Auktion aus (es ging um einen alten Apple-Computer, den ich dank Gixen für sehr wenig Geld ersteigert habe). Mario als privater Betreiber hatte vor vielen Jahren eine großartige Idee, hat sie für uns alle als Service umgesetzt und verbessert seit vielen Jahren die angebotene Dienstleistung immer weiter. Dass man keine Software installieren muss und nur via Browser auf die Web-Oberfläche zugreift, ist sehr erfreulich und erhöht mein Vertrauen in Gixen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

I have been using Gixen for several years and have found it fantastic for not only successfully getting most of the items I bid for but also for the fact I can put in my bid and just leave it. Someone at work put me on to it and although I thought it sounded a bit unfair on other bidders at first, I quickly came to realise it's basically a "silent auction" where you are literally bidding the price you think the item's worth and how much you actually want to pay for it. (As a result, I haven't always won an item, because I've put in a bid too low and it's gone for more than I really wanted to pay).
The guy that invented and runs the website, Mario, always gets back to you straightaway with any issues or questions, and you feel like you're getting a really personal service. I have been with Gixen for about five to six years now and although I don't use eBay that much - maybe once every month or two - I still pay the $6 or whatever it is per year, as the amount is negligible, and if it means having a back up bid system and contributes to the running of the site, then it's more than worth it. I think there's a free version too, or there certainly used to be, so you could always try it out if so.
It's such an easier way to bid for something; my tip is just to put the absolute highest you're willing to pay for the item you want, as you may not end up paying that much in the end anyway, as the bids still go up in the eBay increments.
Thanks to Gixen, I'm now sitting, writing this, on one of my "new" beautiful distressed leather sofas I bought for an amazing price just before Christmas off eBay, by putting in two bids for each sofa therefore keeping slightly under the radar so no-one else bid for them! Thank you Gixen!
