I subscribe to Gixen Mirror. It is an excellent service offered at a very affordable cost. I have made multiple purchases over the last 3 years and have never been let down.

The communication from the developer is clear and honest with no spammy emails. I used the free service for a few months before I decided to subscribe. I am glad I did - I highly value the service I get at a very low premium and, in any case, I like to support an independent developer who is constantly maintaining and improving a high quality product.

I've been using Gixen for several years to automate my eBay auction purchases. Sniping at the last moment will often win the auction, if your bid is reasonable, without creating a bidding war as eBay's proxy bidding system often does. The result has been a lot of saved money and time, making the paltry $6 per year charge for the optional double server bidding (called Mirror) well worth it. And, Gixen is FREE if you choose to stay with the standard single server bidding feature.

I have experienced NONE of the alleged problems with Gixen. No password issues. No Paypal funds issues. Every time I use the Gixen service things go without a hitch. I've used the service exclusively with my desktop PC. I cannot speak to the ease of use of Gixen's mobile Android app (free to Mirror subscribers), though I have no reason to suspect it would be any less effective.

Will Gixen win every auction for you? Of course not. A lot depends on the popularity of the item(s) being auctioned, which makes for more sniping & proxy bidding competition, and being sure not to bid some ridiculously low amount that is almost guaranteed to lose. That being said, I've won several auctions at very low prices, but with the knowledge that my bids could easily have been too low to win.

Based on my several years of membership, I highly recommend Gixen as a safe and low-cost way to save BIG on eBay auctions!

The best thing about Gixen is how much money it saves you. It does this in two ways. First, it allows you to decide how much you are willing to spend on an item, log in set the bid and forget it. You never have buyer's remorse because you got caught up in the excitement of an auction. Second, it keeps the price you pay down to the absolute minimum.
I have been a paying customer for years and Mario's service has paid for itself a hundred times over.

The Malware found by the first reviewer must have been from something else in his system. I've been on eBay for 15yrs, using Gixen for more than four years, and have never had any sort of malware or malware alert with it (I use the full version of Bit Defender and Malwarebytes.)
It's free to use and the single bid wil work fine nearly all the time, but the $6/yr buys you a backup bid from a separate server in another network, so even if your single bid fails (servers are not 100% reliable) the backup puts your bid in anyway.

Gixen is an eBay sniper tool. I've used it for years and its never let me down.
I don't always win as you can still be outbid but it also helps to curb that impulsive feeling to bid again and pay more than what you wanted to.
I have used the free service and the paid for service and not been disappointed with either, it has helped me save a lot of money.

For those who don't know what a sniper tool is - put simply you tell it what auction to bid on and your maximum bid. The idea being your bid is placed just before the auction closes and leaving minimal time for anyone else to outbid you.
You have to give it your eBay user name and password and I have never had a problem arise from that ever.

I'm a U. K. comic collector who buys and bids extensively on e-Bay. Gixen has allowed me to assess and enter all my bids for forthcoming auctions at a single time and not leave me chained to a computer to place last second bids at ungainly hours of the morning or night! Just as important, it creates a discipline in bidding strategy, including fixing maximum bids well before auction end, removing that 'bidding fever' that can sometimes be a pitfall for some prospective buyers trapped in last-minute bidding frenzies with other bidders. You win some and you lose some... be content with that! Do pay the subscription and buy upfront for 2 years... it really is exceptional value and will free up countless hours to enjoy other life pleasures.

I have found Gixen a safe and reliable eBay sniping tool. I have been using it for a few years and had no problems. It appears quite secure and I have suffered no security issues. Sniping is good and efficient. You can either use it as free software or pay a $6 annual fee which gives you the extra "Mirror" features. These extras features above the basis eBay sniping service are:

It is the multi-server aspect that makes paying the extra $6 well worthwhile. With the snipe being sent from 2 locations I do not recall having a snipe not being made.
There is no need for extra software in your PC. There is also a plugin for Firefox which makes adding snipes a little easier.
I use it regularly and would recommend it as the best sniper I have found.
