Very Pleased
November 30, 2016

I finally broke down and called them about my account being frozen. The CSR that I spoke to explained that they had frozen my account to protect my identity. They watch for several small orders instead of one big order. She agreed that if I canceled all the small ones and then placed one big in in a couple of days that the order would go through as I had the credit. So we canceled all my orders and I will reorder later and still have my orders by Christmas.

Terrible customer service
September 27, 2016

My wife went to their website to make the minimum payment as she has for several months now. She made the same selections as usual, but instead of the usual screen asking for confirmation she got a screen stating something to the effect of congratulations! You've paid off your account. She called Ginny's customer service and spoke to an EXTREMELY rude woman who said there was nothing she could do and the over $700 charge to our debit card could not be corrected to the minimum payment. She claimed that it was our mistake and they would do nothing to help.
We have had to pay $30 to our bank to stop the charge, as it would leave us overdrawn.
Shady practices and terrible customer service.
WE DEEPLY REGRET HAVING DONE BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

Don't send pre approved magazines then tell the customer they will need to pay half as a down payment. I am sure I could buy the same items for half the price and no xtra charges for delivery and financing.

What ever you do Do Not Order From This Place... This company is a complete joke. I order some glasses, paid my bill in full, then went to order a back door screen, and then get a letter that they want half down for the payment, but it gets better. The book tells me that I'm approved for credit ( buy now and pay later)So when I call the customer service the lady on the other end of the phone started getting rude with me. So don't wast your time of day with this company they suck. And a big scam

Absolutely horrible!
April 20, 2016

I have had a Ginny's charge for about a year, but only used it a few times and paid it off within a few months. Well, yesterday our television broke and I decided to utilize Ginny's credit. I received a message that it would not be sent until I make a $280.00 down payment! What? The television is only $499.00! They stated because I have TOO much outstanding credit. Which I do, but EVERYTHING is paid on time. I told them to close my account and I will purchase one from Wal-Mart!

Ginnys, swiss colony, countrydoor, monroe and main and many more are all sister companys they rob people by giving you minimal credit with each company. Beware thou they will charge you late fees like 10$ on a late payment on a order of 50$. If one account is late all your accounts will reflect this. Its a scam beware! Don't deal with these people pay them off and tell them not to send you any more catalogs! Liars and predators!

I lost my job and did not have employment for about a month. Needless to say, my rent and car payments are first on the list. Now, I am current with all my credit cards and have never missed a payment before this happened. Since Ginny's only charge a 15 dollar late fee I skipped their payment and just made a double payment this month. I have received threatening letters in the mail in big capital letters a few days after I missed the payment - the last letter was sent in the mail after I made the double payment actually suggesting that Ginny's somehow has "control" over my other main credit cards and that they could lower my credit limit because of the skipped payment with Ginny's. I have ordered exactly twice from them. I am paying my account (about 200 dollars) and cancelling this because I don't agree with the harrassment just because you missed 1 payment. I have also read the review that Ginny's will hard inquire your credit each and every time you order something. Forget it! Ginny's is a small minded business with small minded people.

0 STARS!
February 3, 2016

Horrible customer service! I purchased a feather mattress topper from them because I read the good reviews on their website. Turns out, the reviews are fake and I received the most crappiest bed topper that did not match my description! I emailed customer service and asked them to send me a return label since I did not want my item. They agreed to send it, but I never received it! They sent me to collections for something I wanted to send back! I have proof of emails and everything and they decided to ignore my requests and charge me more! Every time I have tried to contact them, they do NOT reply!
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING GROM THIS COMPANY!

Received fraudulent bill for an order not made by me. The foreign individual that talked to me started fishing for information about me when I called to report the fraudulent billing. I am reporting to Attorney General of Wisconsin.

Christmas disappointment
December 23, 2015

I ordered many items from Ginny's as Xmas gifts. One of the items, a set of bowls which cost $49.99, arrived with the largest bowl in the set broken. I called on 12/14 and the representative informed me that a replacement bowl wound be sent and I would receive it by 12/22. Today I called Ginny's and the representative said it takes 3-4 weeks for a replacement item to be shipped! I asked to speak with a supervisor but she said all she could do was to offer a refund for shipping, which doesn't help as this was the main Xmas gift I got for the person. I am very unhappy!

Beware of the poor person's trap of "easy credit". I used Ginnys.com to purchase some items on their Choose and Charge. Fortunately, not much, so paid it off the next time. Items are overpriced sometimes and if you use Google Shopping you can search and find the same item or better at the same price or lower. Always research first before buying. Read online reviews and use model # to compare price. Beware "refurbished" being sold as New. My biggest concern is that I cannot track down the name of the bank that Ginnys and Swiss Colony and Monroe and Main use for their Choose and Charge program. Very suspicious. Swiss Colony and Monroe and Main show up on CreditKarma.com bank search engine, but Ginnys does not. Very suspicious. FullBeauty.com and BrylaneHome.com use Comenity bank and there is a Comenity.net website at which you can manage your accounts. So it seems very dangerous to use the "easy credit" of a Choose and Charge system that won't even let you know what the parent bank is and where it is located.

I got a great catalog in the mail with my prequalified credit. I excitedly placed my christmas gift order only to be denied credit. So this dinged my credit again by another credit inquiry.
Please don't send a catalog with prequalified credit if it's not true.

I have bought from Ginnys and sister companies for a long time. Never encountered issues until recently. Seems they run credit checks on every order you place so if you order for christmas a few times your credit will have a hard inquiry on it every order placed. My advice is to order everything at the same time. Even with approved credit they still will run a credit check so consumers should be aware of this

Worst Customer Service
September 18, 2015

I have email confirmations from the past 3 months that confirm they have received my payments, but every month their site says I have not paid them. So every month I end up paying the current month and the "past due" balance. I called customer service and the woman kept telling me to call my bank. I told her it has to be an issue on her end because my other bills/payments are subtracted from my bank account just fine. She continued to tell me to call my bank. I just hung up on her. Got no where. You would think they wouldn't make it so hard to pay them. I even suggested giving her my credit card # over the phone but she said to just wait and see if this months payment posts. I said of course it won't post since the previous months haven't posted. Maybe the credit card # they had saved on file was wrong. She again said to call my bank. Ginnys, you should really think about hiring people who know what they are doing.

So i received there mazgine in the mail and they had where you can choose and pay later. Well i did that but they didnt ship non of my items out because of something on my credit. I feel they should make it clear that your credit has to be a curtian way to buy things from them. The they had it in the magzine was like ANYBODY can choose and buy. Then the other messed up part about it is they dont even send a email letting you know what going. So your sitting there thinking the order shipped then a letter come weeks later saying you was denied. I feel they put CHOOSE AND PAY LATER ONLY APPLY IF YOUR CREDIT IS GOOD OR IF YOU HAVE A HIGH INCOME BASE. DISSAPPOINT wouldnt waste my money on them at all..

Everything was way over priced and tacked on a huge shipping cost. A $75 gift card only got me a cheap shower head and a pepper spray. A third of the cost was for shipping. I didn't want to use my credit card, so I purposely didn't go over $75. The way their check out process works is that you have to put in a card number or set up a credit account with them. Then after putting in my certificate number I wasn't even sure that my card wasn't going to be charged because it didn't show how much the gift certificate was taking off and it still looked like it was going to charge my card. I sent their customer service a request for an itemized receipt an said, if my card gets charged, i want to cancel my order. Their reply was just Your card will not be charged, the gift certificate will cover the full amount. The same day that my stuff arrived, I was getting emails and text messages from my credit card company about suspicious activity on my account. I do not use this credit card often and suddenly there is some one in a different state (IL) trying to use my card at a Super Wal-mart.

I was told before I purchased from them that they report to the credit bureau I open the account to improve my credit I have made all my payments on time I haven't paid the more each month I bought a headboard storage unit and it was a poor design never got to use it I put it together and then it broke they sent me new parts and put that together and it broke again now it just sits out my garage I paid 200 something dollars for this thing and don't even get to use it beware of them do not buy from them and they will tell you that they report to the credit bureau so they make you feel all warm and comfy inside to make you buy something the only way they report to the credit bureau is when your account goes in delinquent when you don't paynot very happy with them I will never use them again and I hope everybody out there don't use them either good luck
