Just got another request for information about my experience so here is a global comment. I got my goods in the end but only after starting a process against them through paypal. AFTER hours of writing and waiting on hold for their chat line to respond. I have figured out that if they do an honest business with some and cheat many others they can keep some positive reviews rolling in and their profits high from the cheating side of things. Also, how many cheated customers suffer in silence. Site jabber may be only reporting the tip of the iceberg. Never again for me. Thank you Site Jabber, you were a big help.

We only do that when there is a problem occur during the process of your money transaction. The reasons can vary from customer to customer.

Took my money and never bothered to tell me it had been backordered. Finally was able to email customer service. Told them to refund my money immediately. They never did and I have not received my order. Will report them to BBB>

I ordered 10 days ago Zenfone 2 1.8 ghz phone from this website. They promised to ship the phone within 3 business days of receiving the order. So far they have been telling me that it's out of stock so it will be shipped soon when they receive the phone. However, on the website it still shows shipping in 3 days. I tried escalating it to manager level to no avail. I don't even know if I will ever get that phone. They won't even refund me. Bad service! Don't order, you will lose your money!

Items Never Received

So I placed an order back in July, without being aware that my items were being shipped from out the country 1st of all... didn't get that memo until I sent an email inquiring about my order 2 weeks later. Was advised if I hadn't received them by Sept 27 (10-25 business days), they THEN could over a replacement or refund. Well Sept 27 came & went, still never got my order, so I emailed them requesting a refund. They offered me a replacement (to wait another 10-25 business days) or REFUND OF STORE CREDIT I could use towards another purchase, say what? I want my money back & advised if I didn't get my money, I would be filing a BBB COMPLAINT!

On 21/9/15 I informed the eshop about a defective smartwatch within guarantee that its touchscreen became unresponsive (Purchase on April). They offered me two options. First to send it back with my on expenses to check it out nad they would send it back to me (after 2-3 months). Second option to refund me ONLY 30% of the initial value, 18,9 usd. I choose to my dismay the second option to overcome the hassle of the first one and they told me that I had to close the ticket first (12/10/15). I did and nothing happened. I opened a second one after waiting for many days and they said to me to wait a little more. Now more than two weeks have past from the time they promised the refund and I'm still waiting to make a new order. T*******865 I don't recommend GEARBEST to anyone. Their aftersales service is non-existent

UPDATE: It seems my review here triggered Gearbest to contact me and promised me immediate partial refund in my GB wallet which took place soon enough and 200 extra points for my hassle that I am waiting for. I made another order using the refund and Im hoping for the best this time.

UPDATE no2. They dispatched the new order in fair time and they have responded to all my emails this time. The quality of their service to me has risen. I hope to receive the package without further delays.

Gearbest is cheatbest

I wanted to buy a nice phone, but somehow gearbest does not respond on email, except for one, where they blackmail me into dropping the paypal claim before they ship the phone.
I now believe they do not have the intention of shipping phones!

Oow. They respond to this review... if they ship my phone within 24 hours. I will let you know

Whoops. They were just stalling and trying to cheat me out of my paypalclaim, without the intention of shipping. Paypal just refunded my claim.

Bad service

Keep in mind that you order at your own risk from this shop: They are sending you faulty items and they are not answering to your complaints until you open a dispute on PayPal.
Once you have informed PayPal the customer service is trying to convince you to close the dispute by promising a better discount or refund than you would get from PayPal.

YOU SHOULD NOT ACCEPT THIS OFFER AS THE BUYER PROTECTION WILL EXPIRE ONCE YOU HAVE CLOSED THE DISPUTE ON PAYAL.

You cannot trust gearbest promises at all. For example they are offering a replacement in case of dead on arrival (DOA) but this does not cover the shipping fees. Although they mention in their policy that the item has to be sent beck at the least expensive method which makes only sense if they would pay for the shippment. However the buyer will bear the costs.

THIS IS DEFINITLEY A DECEPTION!

Other chinese shops like banggood offer a much better service.
You might be lucky when you are odering at gearbest but if not you will be lost.

I bought a drone for my son. I payed express shipping to get it in a week and took more than 3 weeks. After I received it, the drone was missing the camera. After 3 months and more that 15 emails, I still have not gotten the camera and now one of the motors is not working, my son has only used the drone like 6 times. I WOULD NOT BUY THERE AGAIN!

I placed my order the 9 October 2015 and today (the 23/10/2015) I am still awaiting my item.
Tried to contact by Chat, I have the messages "All operators are currently assisting others. Thanks for your patience. An operator will be with you shortly" for 2 days now (Running 5 hours per day). I don't know what they mean by "Shortly".
I think I will never get my order, I think I will never get my money back.

Don't use gear best!

Gearbest lost my order, but would not take any action until 8 weeks after my order was originally shipped, then they would not give me a refund, only a store credit or the offer to reship my order from China. Don't use they are not worth their cheap prices.

I have made an order, nothing came, no tracking. Sadly it was not through paypal so i guess they've taken advantage of that with me, the order almost doesn't exist, something like their customer service, they have no care for you or your product, as soon as they get their money that's it.
If there was a 0 star option i would have given it.
Moral: make sure you go through paypal, or even better, avoid using it. Awful service, awful everything. Honestly

I could write an entire book about how bad this was every step of the way, and surprised by some of the positive reviews. Here is a summary skipping some of negatives:
- They send me a cell phone (Oneplus 2) that had been tampered with, couldn't run anti-virus and had some dodgy apps installed, and
- wasn't the specification expected
- Average answering time from customer care 1 week, for multiple exchanges to resolve this...
- eventually we agreed I could send it back
- they claim they hadn't received it back, despite me having a delivery receipt from the courrier, and needed to check with the warehouse
- two weeks later and no answer since, despite repeated attempts to communicate with them

Learning: If it's too good to be true (I was impatient and price was good), don't do it. Especially with a phone which is where you will be putting private information and accessing bank details. Buy only from a reputable source, and I would stay away from gearbest unless it's some cheap gadget that can't harm anyone...

Product shipping was slow, but to be expected, just need to stay on top of them throughout the process. I would have had a good experience with them but one of the pins on the charging cradle was broken upon arrival. I asked them to send a new cradle since I can't charge the phone without a cradle. They offered 3 solutions, one was a $8.00 credit or a $10.00 store credit, or I could get a replacement for a new watch for $40.00. The problem with this is that these cradles you can't get in the United States, so the credits would still leave me with an unusable watch, and the other option would be to spend another $40.00 and have 2 watches but can't really sell one without the cradle and what's to prevent the cradle or something else coming damaged again. Could have been a good experience but you are cautioned that if something comes damaged or not working you are out of luck. Very poor customer service!

My first purchase went OK, although had to wait just over a month.
Second purchase got lost in post. Was asked to wait two months after purchase date. Then was told that they would either refund me half the price of original order or I would have to pay half in order for parcel to be resend. I've asked for refund, since waiting another two months is not an option. Now two months and three weeks I still haven't got no parcel or money.

Do not buy anything from gearbest.com. I ordered a phone on September 15th and still have not received it. And all the users that put five stars on here it is the same person. So they are fake users. They logon as different users and post fake posts. I am computer hacker by profession, when I looked into their profile they come from 3 to 4 computers.

I had first ordered a doogie f5 on a 7 day ship. By the 6th day and i had received no delivery conformation i contacted them. They finally got back to me and told me i had to wait longer.

This i wasnt happy with so i had a full refund given back to me. So all ok.

However i then foolishly ordered a ulephone be touch 2. They had said its in stock and proceeded with the order. The money had be removed via pay pal but no conformation or order number was received.

Anyway, after 8 days of promises of refunds nothing has happened. All the ask for is an order number. This i didn't get or have.

They obviously sell all details to 3rd party companies as ive been inundated with emails and calls ever since.

The chat is useless and im just going round in circles. Still i sit and hope to receive my refund. Wont be making any more purchases through them. Shame as i think the products are fairly priced and look ok.

Very nice service

I bought a phone from them, it didnt so much to i receive it. I got with it 2 free gifts a leather case and also memory card. I think this website provides a nice quality (at least i tried electronics) with not much money. I'm willing to buy from them again. Thank you Gearbest.
