I have made several purchases from Gear Best. The purchases eventually arrived and were quite good. Unfortunately, I purchased a smartwatch from them, the day after arrival I opened it to try it out. It overheated so much it burnt my finger. I contacted Gear Best and after nearly 2 weeks of the worst customer service I have ever encountered they have decided they will put 1/4 of the price I paid for it into my Gear Best wallet or even less into my Paypal account. Appalling.

After nearly three weeks of trying to get a simple answer/resolution through the ticket system, in which there was 90% of automated answers, without even reading my replies, finally (after posting this review and going to paypal escalated resolution) I am finally getting the amount paid refunded into my GearBest account. I am glad of the resolution, but it should not have been such a frustrating, dragged out experience, with GearBest trying not to honour their return/refund policy stated clearly on the warranty and return page.

My advice, if you have bought something that is faulty from Gear Best don't accept anything less than what you are entitled to in the warranty and return policy, be sure to post reviews and contact paypal, it really gets things moving

So I was finally refunded the full amount to my GB Wallet. I have purchased something else now and the order is still pending after 3 days so it remains to be seen the full outcome of this saga.

Ok so here is the update. The item I purchased with my full refund has arrived and is working properly. It took some time and effort but Gear Best finally came through as promised.

Received only 2 out of 7 orders until now. Orders are 45+ days to 3 months old.
I even payed shipping insurance and yet one product came DOD.
I just hope this will help somebody avoid all the disappointment of making fool out of himself.

UPDATE (March the 21st)
GearBest contacted me with regards to the orders I did not receive. They offered me USD20 as GearBest credit. I considered it as a compensation for the inconvenience created by the fact that I did not received yet the orders made on December 1st.
I have to wait to see that's the bottom line.

When I needed a good charger for ******* batteries I looked through Gerabest's goods and found it! It was Miller ML-102 charger with a price so good I never could imagine. Customer service explained me that this charger is mostly for unprotected batteries. So don't hesitate, you may ask them anything about the item you want to buy.

Everything was arrived as described, except I have got some problem with Tarantula x6 transmitter, but no matter of that I wanted to change antenna to have better range. Anyway, when I mentioned this to their customer service, they provided me 300 points (6 dollars) for compensation. That was excellent deal for me
Also, shipping was very fast, around only 20 days from China to Croatia. Will order again, because of a lot of discounts and cheap deals

My items have all been related to RC aircraft - micro multicopters, spare parts, batteries and the appropriate chargers. It's interesting that they came from four different places, New York, China, Netherlands, and Sweden. Apparently they ship from wherever is closest and has the item. Everything arrived and works quite well and arrived pretty much in the time I'd expect or sooner (As in the case of the one from New York.)
I'd recommend that you take a look at them since the prices are very good. Just use good sense and check things well because you might find the same thing listed at different prices, Also you good judgement when making any expensive purchases because I've seen that customer service from many places in China to be somewhat of a problem.

First of all- the reviews that are positive have to be fake. I ordered something on 02/16/16 with expedited shipping. They JUST sent it on 02/25/16 and it is in China. I am not amused. I am trying to do a senior project and I feel like I could order from another company and get it faster.

Thought I bought a hoverboard 2 months ago from GearBest. Still waiting for it. They received my payment of $275 thru paypal the same day i ordered. They wouldnt ship until I sent them a copy of my drivers license & the credit card I used. Stupidly, I relented the closer it got to my goddaughters bday for whom I'd ordered it. I have submitted many tickets to complain /inquire about where my item is, I keep getting told to wait a little while longer its on its way. Then I WAS GIVEN A FAKE TRACKING NUMBER to track down my order. They have no explanation for me other than they have also contacted the shipping company & are waiting for a response. Can not get a straight answer from anyone. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. IF THE PRICES SEEM TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, ITS BECAUSE THEY ARE. You might think your saving money but your not. You're giving it away to criminals. Going to see about a refund thru paypal since their cust serv is a huge waste of time. Ill post the outcome.

Update: 26 May 2016.

Gearbest have in recent days made the effort to contact me to rectify this issue.

I'm pleased to report that i have now received refund for the money invested in this order, and replacement points in excess of those which i initially used as part payment.

I'm quite pleased that Gearbest have eventually sought to satisfy my rightful concern and i shall at this time adjust my rating of them by moving from the lowest one star to a three star score.

Having also taken a leap of faith and placed a new order, i hope i'll be in a position to post an entirely positive review upon receiving...

Utterly astounded at GearBest and their failure to conduct honest business.

Having bought and paid for an item as clearly advertised, they sent out a cheap inferior version which they also sell.

I had no need or desire for the cheap and nasty version which they substituted my order for.

Upon contacting them numerous times over seven weeks and jumping through their hoops to prove myself, i am being repeatedly fobbed off and at one point was even expected to accept their dishonesty when they tried to assert that i did not order the item which i obviously have clear and detailed records of.

So it is with regret that i have to advise other potential victims to avoid this company as they lack basic common decency and have failed for far longer than my patience and courtesy can bare. Their incompetence is intolerable, their methods criminal.

Avoid them...

Ignore their seemingly nice reply to my review, it's completely disingenuous and consists almost entirely of lies.

These thieves have now severed the only line of communication but for paypal and while placing a response via their internal messaging/complaints system, which is tantamount to blackmail.

Atrocious company.

Avoid this company they are unscrupulous

I purchased and order which I knew was coming from China so know it could take a while which was no problem however when the order arrived it was damaged because of poor packaging

I contacted customer support and the wanted just about every conceivable piece of information and photos to support which were provided

I was offered a replacement or half refund of the actual cost I paid! I wanted a refund as I did not want to wait another 4 weeks.

No response, tried again, no response!

So I logged a complaint with PayPal which I paid for items with but they were as much use as a chocolate kettle

In the end the complain was logged on PayPal and then gearbest were interested they said they would refund if I close the PayPal complaint which i did ad it would cost me more than the items were worth to send to China which is what PayPal wanted me to do to get a refund

As you can guess gearbest are not interested anymore and no refund.

Their customer support and and how they treat customers are at zero i would seriously avoid!

I ordered SD cards in November and never received them. Customer service did a research to find that my product is indeed lost, however they refuse to refund the full amount I paid after being promised that I would receive the refund. Still battling!

On Jan 28,2016 i ordered a eken h9 action camera. Product came to me defectively on Feb 16,2016. Camera has a lots of vertical lines. I opened ticket on same day. I've ordered KMASHI Force K2 Car Jump Starter in December 8,2015. But i don't received the package over 70 days, Then I've informed gearbest about missing package, and they asked me to pay $30 to resend the item, or refund only half of the price to my GB wallet.

They say it's in the US warehouse but that's a drop shipping address, everything comes from China,
Takes a few weeks to get your order, so if you're in a time crunch that will be an issue. They post a generous return policy on the site but if you have to make a return you have to pay shipping to China. If you're in the US the back and forth emails with support will take a week or more because of time differences. In my case shipping was as much as my purchase price so ship it back to take a chance on getting another defective item or a store credit of less than 1/3 of the purchase price (they offered $20 for a $74 item) no refund! Pay a few extra bucks and buy from a US seller, one that values your business.
I've also noticed a lot of GearBest's 5 star ratings on this site come from people with only one review... interesting.
