On Nov 2020 my husband and I renovated our kitchen and decided to buy high end appliances. We chose GE MONOGRAM because we have had a good experience with this line. All the new appliances has worked well except for the REFRIGERATOR MODEL Z1SS480XDNBSS Serie: TR*******. From the beginning it was just a weird sound from the ice maker that we had it repair a few times and the sound would always come back...but 6 months ago started a new problem: The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling and I have had a technician more than 8 TIMES in my house. It gets repair and one week later it doesn't work anymore. The technician has replaced several parts of the machine and the cooling problem as well as the sound problem always come back. The computer of the refrigerator also sents us to our cell phone misinformation like the refrigerator is opened (and it is not!)The technician opened the case # ******* for this refrigerator since He hasn't been able to repair it. I have felt VERY MISTREATED for GE customer service who have told I still doesn't have a case for a refrigerator replacement. I spent the whole Christmas time without refrigerator (the service didn't work much on Hollidays and right now I already have 3 WEEKS without refrigerator, waiting for some new parts arrive (which by the way I called customer service because the parts hadn't arrived and the person in charge told me the order didn't go through I had to deliver a new order!). I had to buy my own thermometers because the refrigerator always marks wrong temperatures and not the actual ones. I had lost so much money in food! And now I can only buying what I can eat soon. I went to talk to the dealer where I bought the appliances ( House of Appliances, in coral Gables). The owner, Ray said he was going to talk to his representative to open a "customer complaint" but it doesn't seem to work either.
For a client who spent ******* $ in GE MONOGRAM APPLIANCES I expected to be treated with much much respect that what I have received. I guess my next step will be to call my lawyer to sue the company...but honestly the only thing I want is a REFRIGERATOR THAT WORKS PERFECTLY FINE!
My dryer worked for two weeks, discovered it was wired wrong at the factory. Rep came to replace parts today, now motor is burned out. Told me i can't have a new dryer, it is not their policy. They are going to replace more parts next week.
Oven died for the second time right after Thanksgiving but Christmas new years valentines passed they understand our frustration but no one does anything.
Case manager named Kelly was supposed to call us back weeks ago.
Supposed to get a replacement by end of February but here it is beginning of March.

My wife and I wasted days waiting for repairs at 8 am and they arrived at 5 pm.
Some one just let me know if I should just take a loss on my new home purchase and buy my own Samsung stove.

Bought new stove from Home Depot and had it delivered on Dec 21,2022. Stovetop and sides get too hot. Serviceman came 3 times and deemed stove is a safety Hazzard. Home Depot will not take it back after 48 hours from delivery. GE offers another stove at prorated price. Ok. Good. But, the difference in cost is only 200 and GE quoted me 528.00! They are charging me a delivery fee, haul away fee and installation fee for a new stove! I already paid for all of that when I bought the original stove, you know, the one that doesn't work! They will not refund me my money and I also paid for a 5 year warranty! I have other avenues involved with helping me but now I have another new stove(NOT GE)coming soon. Stay away from GE. Horrible customer service and you just might get stuck with a lemon like I did.
We have been trying to schedule a service technician to come out to our house and service our dishwasher. We have scheduled multiple service calls and they have canceled on us every time. DO NOT BUY GE. Their products are horrrible and customer service is horrendous.
Gave ge trash compactor a high rating of 1 because their rates do no show how we really feel. Otherwise I would give them a -5. It is called a Trash Compactor, in reality it is a Trash Gently Pushes the trash down. Unable to Pack feature NOT included. Not my first Trash Comp., lived in home since '79. This is our 3rd trash compactor, others were not ge's! Will NOT be buying GE again. GE will be become anothersears!
Defective products, unprofessional repair department, buck-passing customer service. GE is no longer a high quality American brand.

The washing machine has only been working for 2 months and the maintenance guy repaired it 4 times in 2 months. Still can't fix the problem and I'm asking for a refund. Rejected by GE. Low quality product, very poor customer service. Don't waste your money.

My brand new GE range quit working as soon as it was out of warranty. The large burner at the front quit working almost right away. Now, I just tried to broil something and the broiler just quit working mid-broil! I will NEVER buy ANYTHING made by GE ever again! I won't bother to get this piece of trash serviced after I've read about the horrible customer service, either. A disgusting, scammy, rip off company.
A new $2500 GE Refrigerator freezer model GFE28GYNIFS goes out after 5 months of use. We lose everything! Takes 10 days to get someone to even look at it. I should have kept the 15 year old Kenmore. GE Is trash! Customer support was friendly. But pretty much... Too bad. So sad.
I purchased a GE dishwasher 1 year after purchase it started beeping randomly and I had to unplug the unit to reset it. Bought the extended warranty and they have been out twice to fix it. The 1st time didn't have the correct parts. 2nd time replaced parts and now my dish washer doesn't work at all. I have been waiting 1 month for parts an called and was told parts won't be in for 6 more weeks. The dishwasher was at least working until they tried to repair it. It is the circuit boards and wiring harness that are faulty.The dishwasher does not clean dishes like the 25 year old one it replaced. We have to rinse all dishes before washing and if they are really dirty we wash by hand. As for the refrigerator/freezer It has digital light strips and in less than 2 years the freezer has burnt out twice and 1 in the refrigerator has burnt out once. GE (General Extortionists) wants $75 for one light strip($225 for 3 lightbulbs). I would not recommend a GE appliance for the quality of there electronics, time it takes to repair products and the price of repair parts.
Bought a brand new GE Profile fridge. 2 month later it broke and they made us wait another 3 weeks or so to get it fixed. After that, it was still broken. Its been almost 3 month now and the technician came out twice just to order the parts. I'm not sure why it takes two time visit to just order another repair parts. Now they keep cancelling my appointment to physically come out to repair and install the new parts. So tired of it. I probably have to contact BBB or something at this point. Also customer relation is terrible. I asked to speak to supervisor after they hang up on me three times and it took me 30min or so to get my call transfer to supervisor. Never buying GE again.
Well, shoot. Judging from other reviews I am pretty satisfied after giving it two stars. I purchased an electric, glass top stove about 4 months ago. Right off the bat I would say the WiFi feature is a joke. I didn't expect much more and I was not disappointed. No purpose to it. Almost non-functional and not likely to improve. The stove top itself certainly isn't like any glass top stoves I've had. The surface actually has s light texture to it like graphite which makes it much harder to clean that my past glass top. The burners are very inconsistent from burner to burner. The left rear won't even get hot enough to boil water and the front right burner takes twenty minutes to heat a pot of water for spaghetti. The control panel materials are very cheap especially the knobs which you have to take off to clean the panel. The warming spot is one temp. Most are at least 3 temperatures. Lastly, the griddle feature is also a joke and no different from any stove top without the feature. They don't even mention it in the instructions, so...It's not a real feature.
On the plus side the actual oven works very well. It holds temperature very accurately. The whole bit about the steam cleaning feature is a joke since any oven with out an exposed element can be cleaned this way. Another non-feature they seem especially proud of.
So, all in all I would not buy another. They don;t seem to put much thought in to their products and again, judging from the reviews I see, they could care less.
We purchased Cafe built-in refrigerator the first week of December and it has now quit working. GE send a tech out and he could not do anything because it was not pulled out and they don't do that. First of all, GE should have mentioned that it needed to be puller out, but they didn't. Second, I'm 77 years old and I can't pull it out. GE told me to contact Spencers, which is who we bought it from, but they have not responded to me. Stay away from GE appliances and Spencer's TV and Appliances here in Arizona.
We had much grief trying to replace a water filter cartridge XWFE in our GE fridge. Kept getting ERR messages. GE service is pathetic, to say the least. No advice. When you do get through on the phone you end up speaking to someone in Mexico who hasn't a clue. Emails are not answered. The dud filter was purchased from Marcone, an original GE, not OEM. So finally got one from Reliable parts which worked. This was only after we were able to speak to a service related to our extended warranty.
Just washed my sheets on a 3 hour cycle: Deep Clean; Extra Heavy Soil; Max Spin; 1 Hour Pre-soak; Deep Fill; Extra Rinse; and Deep Rinse. Three hours, 2 Tide pods - one top, one bottom king sheets and 6 regular pillow cases. And everything came out filthy! Not even subtle filthy. White grime EVERYWHERE! Pure crap. This appliance does not clean clothes - it merely re-arranges filth. Do not buy, walk away. Cleaning in a stream with a rock would be so much more

I believe this is the first time I've ever gone to this extent regarding a company. I will never buy a GE Appliance after my experience. The company has been unable to offer a remedy to fix a refrigerator that failed after 1 year and 8 months of use, and refuses to replace it. Hours and hours and hours of time have been lost, along with $817 out of pocket after 4 service calls, spoiled food... and we are still faced with the need to replace a unit that should last 20 years. Outrageous. Think twice before you make a major purchase from this manufacturer.
Bought a GE JCGBS66SEK4SS gas range 18 months ago. THIS MODEL IS JUNK! I've had 4 service repairs. It takes 30 minutes to heat to 350 degrees, 45 minutes to 425 degrees. I was told by GE this was acceptable to them! It isn't to me! The only positive is that Lincoln Appliance Repair was amazing to work with. (They were the 2nd repair company GE sent out.) If I ever need appliance repairs I will call them.
Now the trim is peeling off the door and I can't find anyone at GE who can answer my question. They want me to book a repair appointment. Never again will I buy GE!
Sell you items and then lower the Map price by 30-40% forcing to sell below cost. Quality of many products are bad and sometimes wouldn't work from the start.

Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
Answer: I sure would entertain joining such an endeavor! They deserve to get a kick in the ass if you ask me.
