GE PROFILE SUCKS.
April 13, 2023

Bought all 4 kitchen appliances, took on a warranty, thank God. Microwave has been broken longer then worked. All these appliances are only 2 yrs. Old. Refrigerator still.not.working correctly waiting on parts and tech to come once again. Dishwasher had a tech day after we got it. Stove is the only thing so far that hasn't broke down. (Knock on wood)
Got the biggest lemons of them all.

W purchased a washer and dryer approximately 1.5 months ago. Had service out twice for dryer making a noise, after the second time of them tearing it all apart, saying they couldn't determine any needed parts, the noise became 10x worse! Not to mention, I took 2 days off work to be home for their ridiculous 4 hour appt window! They told me to contact GE customer service, which I did immediately1 Submitted video, receipt via em over 3 weeks ago. Only response is -it will be sent to the "engineers"( still waiting for someone to contact me back for replacement) Contacted Home Depot corporate they said their hands are tied, GE has to authorize the replacement.
Meanwhile you can hear in the video the noise I have to deal with every. Single. Day. As I have 1-2 loads of laundry daily with 5 people in the house.
Will NEVER buy GE again! Total junk! Unacceptable customer service!

Customer service
April 7, 2023

I scheduled repairs to my 6 month old GE dryer online. The day of the scheduled service (4 hour) window) the tech called. I did not hear the phone so did not answer the call. The tech cancelled the appt after making one call.

I had to reschedule for the next available appt a week later. I cancelled all plans for that day. I got a call the morning of the appt indicating the appt was cancelled because the tech wanted to leave work early. The caller hung up on me when I asked to speak with the manager.

I called Customer Relations. They told me the same thing the previous caller did that the next available was a week out. They told me if I could find an approved GE vendor they would authorize repairs thru them. He promised to call back to see what I found but never did.

I called Consumer Relations again. This time the woman authorized repairs up to $250 thru an approved vendor. I would have to pay bill and then get reimbursed.

I scheduled repairs through an approved vendor who showed up before 8 am the next morning and made repairs at no cost to me contrary to what GE had told me.

Never again will I buy a GE appliance.

Despite 5 visits from a repairman, the washer does not work. GE refuses to give a refund! But they did offer to extend a warranty that has proven to be worthless by six months. I have been insulted by so-called customer service agents, and each call to GE is a minimum of 90 minutes on the phone. The first time they scheduled their contract repairman for a day that he is not open! I traveled 240 miles to be on-site for the repair because it is at my mother's house, and she is 90 years old and does not speak English. Not the repairman's fault, it is GE's problem. I will never buy another GE product. And I buy a lot of products.

Not only did my new refrigerator that I paid thousands not work but for a couple months but it also has been over 3 months to fix it. GE doesn't care in the slightest. It's cost me several hundred to meet all the people they are having me meet due to the fridge being 4 hours round trip away from my primary residence. They will schedule things without your permission and you're expected to be there. They send parts to your house instead of the repair people. So then the repair people can't schedule you. Making for even more of a hassle. There's a TON to this story. If you value your time and money don't go with GE. If you like to donate your money and have a lot of time on your hands then GE might be for you. They certainly don't care if their products work and their warranty is worth nothing. It actually costs a person. After several months a quality business would give a customer a new fridge and apologize for the inconvenience. Quality is not this company or their products.

Wish I could give ZERO stars. My husband bought a brand new dishwasher and we have had it approximately 6 months and it had already broken down many times, with parts replaced. Keep calling to have fixed because it's still under a warranty and they keep sending techs out here that say it works or to replace your pipes etc. So we replaced the pipes and it DOESNT work. They keep sending out repair techs and REFUSE to replace this useless machine. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, THEY WONT REPLACE IF ITS BROKEN.

The 1 1/2 year old and $1000 later GE dryer had the mother board go out. My mom's motor went out of her GE washer after 2 years. Both products were purchased from Recker and Boerger in Cincinnati Ohio. GE told me they could replace the board for $200 or so but couldn't do anything towards my new GE dryer I purchased. I purchased the cheapest dryer $600 I could and unfortunately it was another GE. That was the only brand that would fit in the area available. I just want at least half but all my mom back would be nice.

Worst washer!
April 3, 2023

If I could give no star I would! I purchased this GE washer 1 year ago and it has never worked properly! A rude technician has been out twice to "repair " it now he is blaming it on low water pressure. A plumber came out and called this BS. I had to replace all my kitchen appliances and so happy I went with Bosch! I have NO issues with low water pressure with shower or dishwasher either. Only helpful person has been Kyle. Just a few photos have to constantly rearrange clothes.

They don't stand behind their products.
March 30, 2023

I purchased an over-the-range microwave oven. It failed after about 10 months. It took almost three weeks for a repair person to look at it. They said the magnetron was out and had to order parts and would repair it when the parts arrived. After another three weeks, I finally got back in touch with the repair person, they said they would come out in two days. Another week passed, and it was still not repaired. They suddenly claim the part is on backorder but should arrive in two weeks. Two weeks pass, and they still have not repaired it. I call in and demand they repair it or replace it. They now say it is out of warranty. After several more calls, resending all the receipts, and threatening them with small claims court, they suddenly have the parts. I said I would pass and opt for a refund. They said they would send a goodwill certificate that was good for a full refund. I get the goodwill certificate, and it requires that I purchase another GE appliance. Great, I really want to go through this again. I purchase the replacement. Return the certificate and documentation. It takes 4 more weeks for them to post on the certificate site that they have received the information. I call after two months because I still have not received the check. They say it will be another 6-8 weeks before I get my check. I have little hope of getting a refund. I don't understand how a company can treat customers like this and stay in business.

Stay away from GE
March 29, 2023

My washing machine has been a complete waste of money since day 1. I have had it for 2 years. GE gave me one year extended warranty because of all the problems I've had with it. It is still not fixed. They will "replace" the washing machine but I have to pay almost $400 to do this. I've had the repair company out 9 times. They stated it is unrepairable. This machine has cost me so much money due to the fact that each time the repair company comes out I have to take a day off work. Each time the machine doesn't spin, I have to drag soaking wet clothes to a laundromat to finish washing. I have to constantly clean the floor due to the fact that it leaks laundry soap, even though the door seal and detergent drawer have been replaced. I am buying laundry soap frequently due to the fact it leaks. Whenever I call their warranty department I have to spend an hour on hold before the call in answered. Just in the last couple of months I have spent over 8 hours on the phone, including on hold, with them. So frustrated.

Front loader washer
March 29, 2023

I bought a brand new washer and dryer front loader set and I had them 10 months when the washer took a $#*! they mailed the part which took a while and was scheduled for service after my warranty expired. When the tech replaced the part and left, the machine literally started making noises like it was on and it was off. I called them back and scheduled for them to come back out. This machine needs to be replaced and the company needs to take responsibility for the crappy machine that is going to break down any minute. I will never buy anything GE again and if I would've seen these review prior I would've never bought them. Sad I got ripped off and they don't stand by their products.

I was on a subscription to receive refrigerator filters every 6 months. They sent the wrong one. I called. They forwarded me to "returns." I was on hold for over 30 minutes, no one answered. I went on-line to send an email, only to get a response to call the same number that just had me on hold for 30 minutes. In my account, they labeled my case as "closed." Called again. Again was forwarded to same group. On hold for over 20 minutes with no response. Why am I wasting my day? It was their mistake. Awful on line service. I would stay way. There are other options in appliances. No one actually wants to help correct THEIR error. How hard is it to send the correct filter and send me a return label for the error?

Mistakenly spent multiple 1000s on new stainless appliance. The first refrigerator came scratched and dented, the customer service is the worst I've experienced since living on this planet.
Cancelled multiple appt with shady repair skanks last min cancellations and no shows, super sketch logistics companies being used,15 hrs of my life lost.

They sent out a second refrigerator then that fncker came in with dents/ripples on the lhs panel this time and now that piece of garbage is making a constant squealing sound from the back, mind you this fridge was 2300.00 by itself.Units less then 40 days old.

I will ever ever in my life buy another appliance from home depot or ge ever again.Stay away from ge,frigidare, and lg,all are bottom of the barrel junk.
Fnck you Ge I hope your company burns to the ground.

Please! DO NOT BUY!
March 14, 2023

I bought this dishwasher in late July 2022, March 2023 it has broken down twice and still is not fixed. My dishwasher has broken down twice with FED code. The first time the GE warranty co set me up with service company who could get to me in a month. They finally came out end of December " fixed " it for a month and it broke again mid February. Now I have set numerous appointments, all have been cancelled,.( employee called in sick, employee had surgery, no service tech available etc...) Even after I received confirmation the night before with a new service company. I have been cancelled (4th time) again, because they do not have a service tech in the area. Why confirm something when you don't know you have a service tech for sure!? (The company sent me 4 confirmations texts the days leading up to appointment. The next available is in two more weeks, which just got canceled via text. My husband and I have taken off a total of 3 work days and still no working dishwasher. The customer care is not much help, they are making me an "appointment" again and will follow up with a phone call to me at the end of the week. I wanted them to refund me and just come pick it up so I could buy another brand, but they offered me 75$ for my trouble and said they would make another appointment to be fixed. I am a teacher who worked the month of June to buy a new dishwasher, and this has been the worst experience with a company. Now, I'm stuck and really don't have a choice as to wait until they fix it. Don't make the same mistake I did. Should have just bought a Maytag and waited a little longer for it to arrive. My previous Maytag lasted over 15 years.

GE = Garbage Electric
March 13, 2023

Bought a GE microwave, it broke 2 weeks before warranty ran out. 2 techincians came out, couldn't agree - replace or repair? I spent 2+ hours on the phone with customer service at GE, literally transferred to 7 different people, ending up where I started. They now say they'll fix it, if I can de-install if from over the stove. I will never buy a GE appliance again. Don't do what I did.

Stupidly, I let a saleslady sell me a GE fridge and microwave. I should have looked these products up online or in Consumer Reports before setting out to buy one. When I was a young pup, GE was an excellent brand, top of the line. Not so anymore, apparently. The refrigerator is trash (and is about to be so literally the minute I can buy another brand) and the microwave will go, too, sooner than later. Mercifully, American Express went after the vendor and forced them to rescind the refrigerator's price, but nevertheless the vendor would not take it back as a return. So now I have a dreadful piece of noise-making junk in my kitchen that I can't get rid of -- turns out charities won't accept it, either! My yard man will have to haul it to the dump so I can replace it. The microwave is also not great -- apparently in GE-land, "defrost" means "fricasee."

Never, EVER buy a GE product!

What a nightmare. I purchased the GE Cafe suite of kitchen appliances 3 years ago. Neither the refrigerator or the microwave have worked for over a year. The double range is a terrible disappointment. The worst is the Customer Service. They have been to my home over and over. They don't show when they are scheduled and are not able to repair any of the items so they can be used.

Don't make the mistake of buying GE. They do not stand behind their appliances.
