Around August 28th, 2020, I purchased a brand new GE air conditioner/Heater window unit from Lowe's. I spoke with a representative and they informed me that this unit blew heat so I was sold. I had a room added onto my house (start date at the beginning of September - end date around the end of October). Once the room was complete, I decided to test the air (which was in November). I noticed that the unit did not blow heat. I checked the settings to make sure I had everything right, I had it set for heat and turned up to 86 degrees, which is the max. I thought I may had been doing something wrong so I called GE appliances, they troubleshooted me through the situation and said I did everything right. There was still no heat... only cold air so she scheduled a technician to come out on last week (around December 16th). The technician looked at the unit and said everything was set right but long story short, the unit wasn't going to blow heat. His exact words were "I don't know why GE continues selling these units because they don't blow heat". I in return said thats called false advertisement. The unit clearly states air conditioner/heat and it goes up 86 degrees so why is it colder when I turn the unit on heat than when its off? The technician also told me that I would have to run the unit for over 24 hours... possibly 2 to 3 days in order for it to be room temperature. Who does that? So I have complained numerous times to GE appliances and the consumer complaints department and nothing. One representative offered me $50 but thats nothing when I have spent over $500 for a unit that only blows air. I wasted money because I could've bought an air conditioner and a fireplace. Now they want to send another technician out in two weeks. The technician isn't going to tell me nothing different than the first one... its just to save the companies reputation. It will be summer before this is resolved and I'm TIRED. I don't like my hard earned money being played with.

G E Range
December 17, 2020

I have a GE ranging that is 2 years 3 months old. I used the self clean feature for the first time. With in 4 minutes the oven got so hot it started a fire inside the oven it got so hot it melted the safety latch so we were unable to get the fire under control. We called the fire dept to get it under control they stated the oven malfunctioned and the had to break the stove top to get into the oven to put the fire out. The GE service man without seeing my oven stated it did not malfunction and it would not be under warranty. All the customer people had no answers for me and kept passing the buck after going without a oven for over 2 weeks we went out and ordered a new one not a GE. The fire dept said not to use this fear nature it happens all the time.

Originally, I called their service desk to schedule a technician to service my refrigerator. They took my information and said someone would contact me. No one ever did. I called again and they said they had my warranty info mixed up in their system and that someone would call me in a couple of hours. Never happened. Called again and was told to contact GE directly. I did. I was greeted with someone with a poor attitude and told me someone would come out in another week between 9-5. Fine. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from warranty department asking if I would like to schedule a service call. I stated I already did but she did not have a record of it. So, she put in a request and stated someone would contact me in 1-2 days to schedule. Very ineffective customer service system they have. Very disappointed. We'll see who comes out and when.

Purchased GE refrigerator... had to return the first one due to poor quality upon arrival, crooked doors, foam seeping out of crevices, poorly made overall. Tried another GE Adora Refrigerator 27.75cf - placed a service call within the first month and lost all our food. Couple months later the refrigerator is not working at all and we lost all our food for a second time. Technician came and said to replace refrigerator because the compressor failed, which is like the motor on a brand new car failing. We waited for a call from GE, no call, we called them and waited on hold for 2 hours. Our family has been without a refrigerator for a week and to top it off we cannot get ahold of a supervisor. The service agent is hoping we hang up first.

Piece of Crap
December 8, 2020

We purchased a GE washer and dryer in July 2020. They are both a piece of crap! Neither will stay balanced and the dryer is not hot enough. My clothes come out not just tangled, but knotted. The water comes out HOT while on warm. Yesterday the washing machine shredded a blanket. RUN! Do not buy a GE washer or dryer.

I purchased a new Fridge in Mar 2020 and bought the 5 year warranty, I started having problems with the Ice Maker in July. I had to call about 9 times before a service repair man came to view it. Said there were parts to order and would be back the following week. Its been over a month...! I called GE and they say to call the repair who does not answer his phone and does not return VM... Unbelievable I am thinking just buying new so I don't have to deal with frustration. Never buying GE again.

Bought a new GE refrigerator because we remodel our kitchen. Two of the three doors were noted to be damaged when taking it out of the box. Very long story short, 3 technician visits, delivery of 4 sets of doors (damaged upon delivery), multiple calls to customer service which results in always being transferred at least 3 times, and still not a good "new" refrigerator. Never again will we buy GE. It is unbelievable when the company will pack a door, with an obvious puncture in the door, and ship it to the customer. Obviously there is no employee pride in their work. Maybe it's time to return it and buy a different brand entirely.

Want to get frustrated? Want to get angry? Want to get mad? Then buy a GE appliance. You don't even want to deal with their idiots at the help desk. You have to be trained to be that ignorant. Don't even bother calling. Just dump your GE P. O. S. And get another brand. Nothing could be this bad.

G. E sucks
November 30, 2020

I bought the intire Cafe series
Plus front load washer and dryer.
Firstly I tried to order water filters for my refrigerator. Talk about a fale, first month they send a empty box, 2nd month they send me 1 filter. ( I ordered a 3 pack) 3rd time was a charm I got the other 2. One was broken. Understand that calling them is a trile all on its own. Well touch back on that.
My washer, water pump breaks again takes a week to get through to customer service finely getva app. To have repair man look at the washer. Tells me water pump is broken and they won't have a replacement untill late Dec.
Here i am back on the phone with $#*!y customer service 3 weeks before I get consumer relations only to have them tell me the part will be shipped January 17. Are you $#*!ing kidding me. I explain nicely that it is Unacceptable. That 4 months is for a part and having to wait for weeks to finally take to a rep
Is no way to treat customers. In turn she replies I can cancel my order then hangs upon me. $#*! you G. E will never purchase anything from you our related to you ever again.

GE Appliances.
Would not recommend! Our washer is still broken. SINCE MAY! The have replaced the transmission 3 times, among other parts. And nothing worked. The tech either complained about being here, forgot the right part, or basically just gave up. I get that shipping or products are delayed due covid. But you tried replacing the same part multiple times. -Whats the definition of insanity again?- the techs suck. The customer service is no help. And the products don't freaking work! We only had it for a few months before it completely went out.

And let me add to say that there are 8 people in this house! It has been impossible to keep up with clean laundry. We have resorted to hand washing, ringing out our soaked clothes from the washer, and even the old "fluff-n-fold."

I bought a GE refrigerator 4 months ago, paid in full and two days before Thanksgiving I am still without the appliance. I bought it from Barons in Salem and have been getting the run around since AUGUST. I called GE and opened a case, was sent to *******215 and when I contacted them(after waiting 1hour and 47 minutes on hold) was told that they cannot do aything because I dont have the appliance. After calling back the number on the GE site I was told the only course of action was to call the *******215 line, or call Barons. I have been run around for four months and have a kitchen full of GE appliance except the refrigerator. Nobody is interested in helping us even though I spent thousands on GE appliances. No to mention, this is my fifth home since 1994 and all 5 were complete GE appliance kitchens. I will NEVER buy another GE nor will i suggest a GE to anyone, in fact I will denounce GE to anyone that will listen. I have never spent over 8 grand only to be disappointed and treated like a donkey.

Very disappointed
November 24, 2020

We had a new kitchen put in March 2018 we bought all GE appliances. We have had two shelves in the fridge break. The griddle in the middle of the stovetop started peeling after the first use the seal around the dishwasher has come off multiple times the only thing left... the under the cabinet microwave... 3 weeks ago my hubby used it sparks flew and it quit working. Customer services is a complete waste of time you talk to someone they get all of your information and tell you they will call back... I have called them 3 times now I have yet to receive a call back... as my star rating states DOSN'T GET ANY WORSE THAN THIS. STAY AWAY!
