We have a GE washing machine that works fantastic HOWEVER a very small plastic piece known as the door latch that could not have cost GE more than. 10cents to manufacture in China broke and now the entire machine is rendered useless unless we are willing to pay $100 to replace this. 10cent piece. GE could care less and has no justification for how they are able to sell. 10cent replacement t parts for $100. It's a pure cash grab. I am a GE customer NO MORE!
GE dishwasher, while seldom used, died 3 months after warranty expired. After $200 in unsuccessful repair bills GE Customer Relation provided a "Certificate of Goodwill" for $350 if I purchased a GE dishwasher as replacement. I provided everything that Home Depot gave me at purchase and delivery GE Customer Relations denied paying the $350 saying that I did not purchase a GE Appliance. Delivery ticket CLEARLY shoed a GE model number and date of purchase matching the Home Depot receipt. Original product was trash and GE Customer Relations are do nothing LIARS and THIEVES. Don't buy anything from GE and tell everyone you know about them.
I purchased brand new G. E. Washer & Dryer from Tasco Appliances. I have purchased from Tasco in the past with other appliances with no issues.
My new G. E. washer is another story altogether. We received the machines and hooked them up. I put on a load and the machine had a hole in the bottom hose (a manufacturing defect) and flooded my laundry room and basement. We called G. E. and requested a replacement machine. Almost 2 weeks later & a $30 trip to the laundromat, I still do not have a working washing machine. We've sent pictures, as per their request, of the defective part and a technician was sent to fix it(no new machine was offered) and he showed up with the wrong part. They didn't even bother to look at the pictures! The technician stated that they should have replaced the defective machine not try to fix it. He then informed us (after making a phone call) that it will be another 2 - 5 business days for him to come back with the right part. THIS IS SO UNACCEPTABLE & VERY FRUSTRATING. Customer service IS SEVERELY lacking as we had to reach out for over a week to get any action going. Not once did G. E. reach out to us. It is such a shame when you spend over $1600 for new and receive nothing but problems in return. I really am thinking of just returning this washer and demanding my $$ back. I am one fed-up customer!
I bought GE water softening system in October 2020 and I would not recommend GE to anyone, a terrible company to deal with. My water softening system kept filling up with water and it flooded my garage and I thought it had shut off so my garage was flooded because of this and I had to shut the bypass valve to stop it from filling up with water and it started up and it stopped working ERR 1. I had to clean up all the water and that was a lot of water and I had to throw stuff out because of this, and it is under warranty and it is still pretty new and I had to call GE customer service and they have given me the run around and I told them that I want a technician to come to my house to repair it I get an appointment for the technician to come, the technician (from appliance service technician) to cancel because he tells me that he does not want to waste my time or his to just come look it to see what is wrong with my water softening system he is told me he has to order the parts then when the parts come in he will call me to set up appointment to come fix it. Now it has been a month and he has not called to come repair it. I called to talk to supervisor Cindra from Ge to ask her if they can replace my system with a new one. She tells me no that it is under warranty for repair not to replace it with a new one. I told her that I have not been able to use my water softening system. She tells me that the technician will be able to repair it as soon as the order arrives. What a lousy company who does not care for the customers so terrible customer service I truly will not buy GE appliances or anything from them again! This is terrible I am very upset to be treated like this
We have had this washer/dryer for 16 months, a second home so it has not been used for the full 16 months. We have had four (4) service reps out here,($100) it still does not run correctly. On the spin cycle it will not shut down. Heavy load or a light load, speed was or regular the spinning continues. A circuit board was replaced ($225), and a speed regulator was replaced ($50). During the spin cycle the tub is never in balance even with an extremely light load. It's bad enough that it does NOT go through the spin cycle it SOUNDS like a TRAIN is going through. GE has been NO help.
Waited four months for washer and dryer, delivered missing two parts for dryer to work, told use laundry mat until parts come in because they are unavailable at this time! Stove delivered today also junk! Does not work needs parts for oven. Told us good luck! My advise buy a different product they should name general electric junk appliance company.

Haier refrigerator died in less than one year. No service available by phone, email, website. Even registered, they wouldn't recognize my phone number to take my call. The website didn't have the right phone number, no one responded to email, and asking for service online led to 'sorry' or the page just reverted back to what I had already filled out. Nothing works here - phones, website, email. You will get zero customer service and no repair on any appliance you buy from Haier, GE anymore. Worst experience I've ever had with an appliance. Spent hours trying to reach anyone at all. Even Lowe's where I bought it didn't have a working phone number for this company that they sell for!
We have a washer dryer combo unit. It is absolutely AWFUL. This unit is about 4-5 months old and we honestly use it as a table because it does not work like it is supposed to. We hav had GE techs come out thqt haven't been able to fix it. We were told our dry cycle was 700 MINUTES long. We have tried just putting three towls in the machine to see if they would dry and they come out still soaked! We had to buy a brand new Samsung washer and dryer because we needed to do laundry and GE was unsuccessful in fixing the machine. The customer service has been hit or miss, some representatives have been great to talk to and seemed understanding of this stressful situation. However one basically called me a liar when I informed her the machine was not working, and that was terrible customer service. I am at the point where my boyfriend and I are considering taking to a lawyer.
Bought a brand new dishwasher. It broke after 3 weeks. First GE center repairman who couldn't fix it and said oh well this is as good as it gets no I'm not kidding. Then I spent four weeks trying to get customer relations to fix the damn dishwasher. An hour hold each time. Each person said they would handle it and get back to me no one ever did. Now I'm finally promised to replacement still got misinformation from everyone. Didn't find out I had a case manager until at least 4 weeks into the complaint department. Still don't have the replacement. Still have an hour wait every time to get through an emails are never responded to. I will never shop this company again. Reported it to a supervisor perhaps she will retrain the community relations department to communicate and follow through on repairs. Dishwasher has been broken longer than it's been working. Be forewarned. I tried to upload a photo but the site won't accept it but I can tell you it was model g p t 225 g l o b b. No way I would know that without buying it
So my husband and I got a dryer from GE a year ago and it already broke 5 times. On the 5th time, it took GE almost 2 months to give us a new dryer, they tried to pass us around from one supervisor to the other. Horrible customer service for a known company. And guess what, only after 1 week of getting the new dryer. It's not working again. I wonder how long it would take us to get our money back. Horrible appliance plus horrible service = horrible company to support and buy appliances from. NOT WORTH IT!
We got a full line of GE appliances with our new home. In former years I've easily spent 1500 bucks on repairs. Pump failed on the dishwasher, fridge leaks CONSTANTLY (ruining the floors) and the microwave, while it never broke, has an interface that appears to have programmed with some sort of alien logic that makes you press three buttons when only one is needed. In short, it's over with these guys. Will never spend a cent with them again. Neither should you.
Do your self a favor and buy your appliances ANY Place else! I would not buy a toaster from these people. I have spent over 20-hours on the phone and received no calls back, no resolution. Don't bother to ask for a supervisor, they have titles ALL, every phone person is titled a "supervisor". They are disrespectful, totally inconsiderate of your time and schedule and just don't care. If you're thinking of purchasing ANYTHING from the G. E. Appliance Store DON'T DO IT! If you do good luck.
The customer service department is absolutely worthless and rude and so is their delivery service! It took 2 hours to make the order and we ended up canceling it because we couldn't work out reasonable delivery time. After 3 phone calls to the delivery people, they tried to set up to deliver at 7am(we have a baby and do that) and then another time when we clearly told them we wouldnt be home. They will not help and instead they just transfer my call to one department after the other. This is possibly the worst company I've ever dealt with and glad we ended up canceling because it sounds like it would have been a nightmare if something wasn't right with the product. I will never buy anything from GE after experiencing this horrible service!
I had a service call scheduled at my home from 8-12 am and no one showed up, called, knocked or rang the door bell. When I called around 3:30 the rep on the phone said the call was cancelled because the tech "couldn't get ahold of customer" which was a total bogus response. I asked to reschedule that day or the next and the rep on the phone said "it's going to be another 3 weeks wait". When I explained that wouldn't work because I had an appointment and no one showed up (not my fault) the tech on the phone said "this isn't really our problem since your dishwasher is out of warranty anyway". I will never call GE again or buy parts from them!
I must say buyer beware I have a 4 month old washer. It is has 3 major parts broken on it. This company has still not fixed the washer it's been over a month. I have called them over 6 times. All I got was a company is going to call me to fix. Right at this moment I have been going down to the laundromat every week. My washer is now my folding table. What a disappointment.
We bought a GE washer and dryer set (model #GTW680DG) in May, and by about Dec. Of the same year both had required a service call. The sensor for the door needed to be replace in the washing machine. This repair took about a week and a half. The dryer mother board needs to be replaced, and we are still waiting for that repair to be completed after about three weeks. I contacted customer service to see if I could return or upgrade and was told no without even an apology. I will not be buying GE ever again.
Recently brought a GE top load washer & trouble starts. Spinning makes a so loud noise. Called technician & he replaced the springs but still issue go away. At last visit technician told us this normal noise, don't put heavy a load not even a queen size Quilt go for coin laundry. This how machine works?
This is now the second review I am trying to post about GE as they would not allow my first review to post on their Facebook page. I am even now more disgusted with their customer service. I recently renovated my kitchen and got all GE appliances. My fridge stopped working after 1 month and I was told there was a leak. The good news was that they said they would replace it, but turns out they can't get me a fridge until end of March or longer due to it being back ordered. I understand the back ordering issue is out of anyone's control, but it is the response I got from customer service that is making me write this review. I spoke to several different customer service agents about what could be done with the time being as I can't live without a fridge for 2 months or more. I was basically told I am sh** out of luck and told me good luck trying to find a fridge anywhere else. GE does not care about their customers and it is beyond irritating after spending thousands of dollars on their products. Do yourself a favor and pick any other company for your appliances than GE.
I have a LG Washer (Model: WT7300CW / W/M) I purchased on May 19,2019. After the 1 year warranty expired, I had 3 services call related to the Control Unit. Although I contacted LG, the only support they provided was to pay for repair services.
I will never purchase an LG producer again. I gave my last washer & dryer away. In 15 years I only had one repair complete on the washer. This has been a nightmare
Answer: SCAM! $800 EXPEND IN LESS THEM 4 YEARS AFTER MOVE IN A NEW HOME WITH GE APPLIANCES-GARB COMPACTER, ICE MAKER AND NOW, THE WATER FILTER HEAD... PURE SCAM... PRODUCTS ARE MADE TO BREAK!
Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
Answer: I sure would entertain joining such an endeavor! They deserve to get a kick in the ass if you ask me.
